Its better that Ayu donated a million yen than giving nothing!
I can't believe that there are people had lots of nerves to do this in the midst of dark times >:\

ayumasing 17th March 2011 02:13 AM

They're seriously doing this? What a petty thing to mention. >:( Shame on the media for making this sound like a competition!

Hmmph.

I think in crisis situations, people feel a lot of anger and fear and it can be hard to direct those feelings in the right direction. I think TV stations should try and make sure that they're staying professional, but I can understand (not condone, but understand) why people in a desperate, uncertain situation would start to lash out at those that they feel are in a position to help them.

like i mentioned in the other thread, ayu is helping everyone who follows her on twitter. of cos donations will help, but she is giving practical help and not just donating money like everyone else.

it is predictable media are comparing it when it comes to artists donation.

we will just ignore the negativity and appreciate what all of them have done.

everlastingRAINBOW 17th March 2011 04:38 AM

And somehow the world continues to turn

auss246 17th March 2011 04:41 AM

Just donating is good enough in my opinion.

:rolleyes
wow, what a terrible person, not donating the ridiculous amount Namie donated.
she could have not donated anything at all.

shineestar 17th March 2011 07:20 AM

is this really true..? o__o ayu doesnt deserve to be bashed. shes doing alot to help right now. T--T

Mayayu 17th March 2011 12:17 PM

I'm sure Ayu will keep on helping because reconstruction has not even begun.

Pple always comparing are a pain.

My Rainbow 17th March 2011 01:17 PM

I haven't seen any official statement that Namie gave 70 million sorry...

Seriously! Its the thought that counts, not how much. And to criticize her for that is just wrong.

aura~ 17th March 2011 06:07 PM

stupid... she has been donating every single day since it happened (Max Matsuura comfirmed it to a fan), she's doing more practical stuff than others... seriously... she donated and that's what's important!

TeamAyu2004 17th March 2011 06:12 PM

^ Yeah, I think I was saying thing earlier... Ayu donates more then just money. I mean most of these people dont even want money. They want food, shelter, cloths, water.. not money. and Ayumi donates all that. Im not too sure about the shelter, but im sure she would if she could.

And they were like "aren't you making $20m this year? Come on man."

I think thats a bit different emiko because Ayu means well most of the time while Vince is a total prick, probably the most detestable character on that show besides E. Guy spends millions of dollars a year buying expensive toys for him and his buddies but can't even take a look at a brochure for a charity. It grinded my gears every time he used the bull$hit excuse for "I'm working on the new Darabont movie" whenever he tried to dodge the charity, couldn't help but side with crazy Matt on that one.

Matt's cellphone outburst at the very end of the episode was hilarious though, best moment in Entourage

gallowsCalibrator 20th March 2011 02:17 AM

That's just ridiculous. She has been tweeting every day helping people, donating, the whole T-shirt thing, and I'm sure she's been sending practical things to help. There is no way they got her donation total right... This is her home country we're talking about, and she obviously cares about it a lot, or she wouldn't have done all of these things for Japan. Tabloids should be ignored :yes

millie47 22nd March 2011 12:38 PM

i thought ayu donated 35billion yen? :?

PinkShinigami 22nd March 2011 01:41 PM

I don't know what to say to this.
I think it's selfish of Japanese people to say this.

"Namie donated big amounts of money to Japan, ayu has to do it too!"
But the people in Haiti and starving children in Africa, it doesn't matter that nobody donates to them..

Somehoe I understand, that they say this, but it makes those who said it much more selfish than ayu.

Sandy 28th March 2011 02:23 PM

Even if it wouldn't have been Ayu they were "bashing" about it would still be mean and hurtful. Ayu is doing more than enough, so are many other also non-celebrities. For me it feels like she's with Japan with her whole soul (if u understand) and she also told all of her staff to "stop working and be with their families."

PinkShinigami: But Ayu and Namie live in Japan and the earthquake hurt their country and Japanese families and for them it seems to be more important because it's happening to them. U know?
