She fired the previous director and directed the video herself, apparently.

I actually like it, it was boring as hell but she looked great.

I actually liked the simplicity but I didn't like the fact she looked so bored. The vocals leave you to believe this is such a powerful song and yet her face was so stiff and the lipsyncing was downright awful. If she put more of herself and some lively spirit into the video, then it would have been perfect to me. But it ended up looking exactly how it was produced, a rushed, last-minute video. The Google Chrome video would have made a better music video than this! In fact, I'm just going to dub that the official one instead. :laugh

The video was really boring but I guess it was nice somehow.

My opinion is that whilst not an exciting, nor really that interesting, PV - it'll show people she's not always so intense, like with the others. Most Western PV's shown on TV here are like that. To the general public, who obviously don't care as much as Gaga fans about her PV's, they'll probably find it more accessable. She looked really beautiful in it anyway.

If there are Gaga fans looking for simplicity they must be confusing her with some other artist cause she hardly does anything "simple". But hey, they got it now if that's what they were after.

^More like, "in touch" with her music. It's in no way new or revolutionary, it's so annoying to see her create these overly complicated videos as if that's the case. It just reeks of trying too hard. Her earlier videos weren't like that.

Although unfortunately, the circumstances around the video probably dictated the outcome more than her creative vision.

I think people were more asking to see a different side of her, I've seen people post here before wanting a "more real, simple" Gaga or w/e. Either way, I'm just glad she went for a simple, beautiful look with a video that was so focused on herself. I think it suited the song too. After a music video like Judas, I'm not really going to hate on this one being more toned down.

All I can say she looks hot

Should've been 5 minutes of that :yes

This so freaking much, the song inspiring and whatnot and it gets this boring video.

ALPHY 17th June 2011 11:10 PM

Wow, she looks so enthusiastic in the video!

AyUta 18th June 2011 06:26 PM

I thought it was simple in a nice way too :yes. A break from a lot of crazy stuff <3

SURREAL__RAINBOW 19th June 2011 01:28 AM

Oh... apparently the guy playing the saxophone in TEOG's mv just passed away.

:(

rookies 19th June 2011 02:19 AM

^ That is so sad to hear. :( RIP.

JackieRos 19th June 2011 04:57 AM

what?! omg

ownsarai 19th June 2011 11:35 AM

Yes, Clarence Clemons is the sax players name.
I just watched the video...and it's seriously boring. The song is great, but it could have used a much better video.

jbrat2219 27th June 2011 04:11 PM

I'm not really sure I believe this.

JackieRos 27th June 2011 04:37 PM

wow O.o

amorphose 27th June 2011 04:42 PM

I don't believe it either. If anyone's trying to scam anybody it's this scumbag attorney.

No, to be honest I don't believe what they're trying to say here. Basically they're saying she's not released how much goes to charity clearly, so they're sueing her on that basis? I think it'll be one of those stories that gets forgotten the week after it's published. :shakehead
