lol It wasn't all that bad, I guess. You were... and Last Links were definitely the worst offenders. It just overall doesn't sound as good as her middle era music did mixing-wise.

Hm. If I were to pick which ones were the worst in Rock 'n' Roll Circus, I'd go with meaning of Love. I don't know. I suppose it's not 'grande' enough to my ear :D

Its all a matter of opinion... Rock n Roll was one of her better albums (comparing them to Secret and GUILTY of course)

Rock 'n' Roll Circus was to me one of her best-sounding albums (so far as mixing goes), better than NEXT LEVEL and definitely better than Secret (which for some reason isn't 'loud' enough for me if you know what I'm saying). Her best-mixed album I think would be (miss)understood. Man does that album blare.

Back in those days, Ayu would have demo versions of the songs as the CM cut which is why they often changed a lot when they were finally released. I LOVED Beautiful Fighters' CM version but sadly they made it more poppy in the final cut.
Nowadays, she finishes the songs long before the CMs/tie-ups are decided on.

Ah yes Beautiful Fighters was different, too. I remembered liking the CM version and was expecting a rockish song, but hated the final version of the song (until now, in fact). I like CM JEWEL, too. She sounds pitch-perfect there. Oh well.
Now, to get back on topic, thanks, everlastingRAINBOW, for the CMs! I was just on the site not 10 minutes ago but they weren't there, and then I got here et voila :) I love how the studio Party queen sounds.
