It's not like truehappiness won't edit the first page the second something is announced. If you don't like the album chit-chat, don't look at the thread.

The CM should be put up here soon. It's the morning of the 22nd over in Japan.

lol I'm sad that David Reitzas only mixed how beautiful you are. Aside from progress and beloved, his mixes for Ayu have been by faaaaaaaaaaaaar her best since GUILTY or Secret era. :\ I hope the rest of the album doesn't sound like a poorly mixed mess like R'n'RC, MOON, blossom, Why..., etc. do.

The final version of STEP you is -of course- colossal :yes But I just feel it's such a shame that she didn't release the CM version (it's kind of like the ~another night~ version to Ladies Night to me -which she released :D). I mean, with Moments, JEWEL, About You, GREEN etc. her vocals were different too in the CM, but the music sounds similar to the final version - thus there was kind of no point to release the CM version, but with STEP you it's totally different. I -need- this STEP you, ayu.

Rock 'n' Roll Circus was poorly mixed? Wow thank God I don't have the ears to notice that :D It sounds fine to me (maybe because everytime I put the CD on it's always with ridiculously high volume? :s)

lol It wasn't all that bad, I guess. You were... and Last Links were definitely the worst offenders. It just overall doesn't sound as good as her middle era music did mixing-wise.

does anyone know exactly where on the site the cm will be posted? :luv2 im excited to hear the final product of party queen... its been quite awhile since ayu has released an upbeat song :(

Its all a matter of opinion... Rock n Roll was one of her better albums (comparing them to Secret and GUILTY of course)

truehappiness 22nd February 2012 12:04 AM

Back in those days, Ayu would have demo versions of the songs as the CM cut which is why they often changed a lot when they were finally released. I LOVED Beautiful Fighters' CM version but sadly they made it more poppy in the final cut.

Nowadays, she finishes the songs long before the CMs/tie-ups are decided on.

everlastingRAINBOW 22nd February 2012 12:06 AM

All 3 CMs feature the same 15 seconds of the chorus of "Party queen", while the making of has a bit more with the "I am your party queen!" bits :yes

CM 1:

CM 2:

CM: 3

Making of:

Found here.

Please excuse me for continuing to be off-topic, guys

Hm. If I were to pick which ones were the worst in Rock 'n' Roll Circus, I'd go with meaning of Love. I don't know. I suppose it's not 'grande' enough to my ear :D

Rock 'n' Roll Circus was to me one of her best-sounding albums (so far as mixing goes), better than NEXT LEVEL and definitely better than Secret (which for some reason isn't 'loud' enough for me if you know what I'm saying). Her best-mixed album I think would be (miss)understood. Man does that album blare.

Ah yes Beautiful Fighters was different, too. I remembered liking the CM version and was expecting a rockish song, but hated the final version of the song (until now, in fact). I like CM JEWEL, too. She sounds pitch-perfect there. Oh well.

Now, to get back on topic, thanks, everlastingRAINBOW, for the CMs! I was just on the site not 10 minutes ago but they weren't there, and then I got here et voila :) I love how the studio Party queen sounds.

ayumisrael 22nd February 2012 04:06 AM

It sounds actually cool (and clearer as its studio) I still like it. :D

TeamAyu2004 22nd February 2012 04:23 AM

I think with the studio im liking the song even more... at least that part of it..
Cant wait to hear the rest of it!

tokyoxjapanxfan 22nd February 2012 04:24 AM

Moments was my favorite CM version haha. It sounded much more nasally, but I dont know, I really liked it. Still do. But of course the final version is beautiful haha.

Thanks for the CMs

Now Im so used to the concert recording and her deeper voice that its funny hearing the studio version haha

truehappiness 22nd February 2012 04:56 AM

No one even thought the singer was Ayu when that KOSE CM came out, HAHAHA.

Aderianu 22nd February 2012 05:49 AM

freedreamer 22nd February 2012 08:17 AM

she sounds really bright on the studio version but Ive grown to love the atmosphere in the live wan. I cant wait to hear the proper HQ for this electro-ish track. It's the atmosphere that makes this song great

happiholic★ 22nd February 2012 08:19 AM
