Yeah, GTTT is still electro, but it's dubstep and she doesn't have any other song like that. It was a small risk ro release that as "comeback" single.
From the interview it sounds like she doesn't wanna do such cry ballads like Koishikute anymore. Let's see.

Her singles are mostly pretty safe. Her album tracks tend to be the more unusual stuff.
So I believe we can look forward to the album.

Yeah, usually Kuu releases her "safer and usual" stuff on her singles and let the themes of the albums only for the albums, so I guess that's why the "new Kumi feeling' may not be that evident :) SHOW ME YOUR ROLLA is also something different imo Besides some trumpets on a handful of summer songs, I don't think she's got a similar song, maybe the closest being show girl

ILoveGeniuses 28th January 2014 02:54 PM

I'm waiting for the full album before listening to anything. Doing so keeps me more excited and the material feels even more fresh and enjoyable, like chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven all still warm, soft and chewy. ♥♥♥♥♥

Can't wait to see more and more of the tracklist. Plus hoping she'll do more promo soon. Also, her facebook page hasn't been updated at all since January 4th, and it's about time something new was posted.

KuuXAyu-fan 28th January 2014 03:17 PM

Kuu recorded a Music Japan performance of SHOW ME YOUR HOLLA today.

By the way as someone who's waiting for the album to listen to the new tracks could someone describe what SHOW ME YOUR HOLLA is like? Does it have any electro/dance or is it just jazz instruments? Thanks :)

Minttulatte 28th January 2014 03:26 PM

^Well, to me it sounded like hip hop with a twist of jazz elements thrown in. It's a very interesting song because she doesn't have a song like that in her discography yet. :)

More was a great song and I think she should go in that direction for a single or two.

Agree. More is one of my favourites but it's so underappreciated :(

Minttulatte 28th January 2014 03:56 PM

MORE is a lovely song indeed. She needs more jazz in her discography. I love the jazz songs BoA releases at times and I think the genre would be perfect for our darling Queen Kuu♥

waterballoon 28th January 2014 04:34 PM

i wish for more songs like Slow feat. Omarion .. i'm a sucker for that lol. more No way/Okay too please. or Passing by. damn those songs :heart

ILoveGeniuses 28th January 2014 05:57 PM

^I ♥♥♥♥♥ THOSE SOOO MUCH!!!!

Actually I really wanna see Omarion actually perform it live with Kuu. ♥

pommy48 28th January 2014 06:37 PM

I would love something like Slow, but without all of that autotune T_T

tsumekaze_ 28th January 2014 07:42 PM

^ agreed. Plus I like slow, but in a strange way. I LOVE the verses but then they build up to...nothing. That chorus doesn't stand out for me at all, I expected something different...
That's what made this song only likeable and not EPIC for me! I' d love another song like slow tho. looking forward to new kuu, I'm curious for this new album. I loved japonesque more than anything she has ever done so I hope she continues going in that direction! les cutie, more sexy kuu!♥

Minttulatte 28th January 2014 08:35 PM

I want JAPONESQUE part 2. Hell, that album just took my heart completely. Such a flawless album indeed <3

orangeakira 28th January 2014 08:59 PM

I want an album of all sexy songs. If we could have just one album with only songs like Lay Down, TABOO, Ecstasy, BUT, So Nice, Juicy, and POP DIVA, and not have any of the cutesy songs or ballads, I would die a happy man. I do love the other styles of songs she has, but I would just absolutely worship something like this. She could make it a "one time exclusive". :P

Minttulatte 28th January 2014 11:34 PM

Doing an album filled with only fierce songs is so not Kuu imo. She needs those epic ballads on her albums. I'm pretty sure I can't listen to a album with just fierce songs in it. Hell, her ballads made me her fan too. :D

adantatu2 29th January 2014 12:13 AM

^^I will love that, but it's true, Kuu always puts something different, cute songs and don't forget her typical ballads

orangeakira 29th January 2014 02:08 AM

Hence the "one time exclusive". :D

And yes typical ballads are typical. I don't even remember what koishikute sounds like. I feel like she already has a million of those songs. Something involving love, blah blah blah, wailing and crying into the camera during the pv, boyfriends of every nation every other day, waiting in the snow, waiting in the rain, waiting in a restaurant or train station, or outside a stripmall, something about cellphones and crying. blah blah blah

abestfah 29th January 2014 03:15 AM

For slow songs, I love them like all stuffs since Universe Era such as No way. Slow, Passing By, not Japanese style ballad anymore. However, I think it should have old Kumi's ballad song on every album at least one for fans who love it, Brave, not bad but one enough.

Corvina 29th January 2014 11:12 AM

That's why I'm interested what's coming.
If she changed too drastically from one to another album, she'd probably lose parts of her fanbase. Especially her japanese fans, who love those ballads and cute stuff. She has to do it slowly

New album tie in:
The mew song "Winner Girls" will be used as CM song for Toyota! CM will be released 01/30.

Also Show Me Your Holla will be released 02/05 on recochoku, 02/12 on iTunes

Minttulatte 29th January 2014 12:39 PM

If she released a mini album though with 5 or 6 songs in, they would be all be upbeat but a album with 14-16 songs in would be a bit too much imo. :D Besides, she's a Japanese singer after all. Not American. And Japan loves those ballads so they will always be there. Cute songs too. I don't think she will completely give up on those either, just write them in a more mature way like the way she wrote Milk Tea. :p

And I'm excited to hear that Winner Girls in that CM! :3

//When did my initiate change? Wow. Oh well, now I'm closer to (m)u era♥
