^ most likely yes, it's related to that..i can't really think of other reasons to explain this phenomenon.
|
^^But the news came out so long ago...O_o That doesn't make sense for it to affect it now. :/
|
I really believe Ayu has a chance to make it to #1 this week. Kobukuro is still a major threat, and MISIA to a lesser degree, but I have faith in this. :D
|
I doubt it now. MISIA will get #1.

#1: Ayumi Hamasaki (GUILTY) -> 9,238 + 8,076 (x1.7) = 29,434
#2: Kobukuro (5296) -> 8,987 + 8,222 (x1.7) = 29,255 #3: MISIA (EIGHTH WORLD) -> 10,026 (x1.7) = 17,044 |
I think it's fairly amusing that she's jumped to #1.
Very amusing indeed. |

:yes Yeap :P thanks for remembered me :rolleyes Quote:
Nice, thanks 4 the update!! ^^ |
judging by today's sales, it will be ayu vs kobukuro again..
|
Yeah :/
It's really dumb. Almost as if everyone who buys GUILTY is also buying 5296. THIS ISN'T A BEST 2 ALL OVER AGAIN DAMNIT. XD |
Meanwhile GUILTY still can be #1 weekly for the next week as our friend showed:
1: Ayumi Hamasaki (GUILTY) -> 9,238 + 8,076 (x1.7) = 29,434 #2: Kobukuro (5296) -> 8,987 + 8,222 (x1.7) = 29,255 #3: MISIA (EIGHT WORLD) -> 10,026 (x1.7) = 17,044 I really don't think that MISIA is a problem, kobukuro though are still a problem. I think MISIA's album will be #3. |

sigh..she in number 3 for today...but there is still a hope that she will get number one position this week!!! C'MON japan people buy GUILTY!!!
|
#1: Ayumi Hamasaki (GUILTY) -> 9,238 + 8,076 (x1.7) = 29,434
#2: Kobukuro (5296) -> 8,987 + 8,222 (x1.7) = 29,255 #3: MISIA (EIGHTH WORLD) -> 10,026 (x1.7) = 17,044 its very very so close with kobukuro... OMG GOD.... give me a miracle for ayu |
It looks as if kobukuro are playing chase with ayu. lol

Those sales of Ayu's GUILTY are better than I expected actually. :0 I thought it will sell less than Secret did on the first week, but it did much better, which is nice. :) #2 is good position, but I too like to see Ayu on #1. But it's not a end of the world for me if she doesn't get it. It's still good album, one of my favourities, and I never really cared about Secret, but I like it. I like GUILTY more. :> And #3 isn't too bad, I'd say, because if she wasn't in top10, then you should ask "What the heck is going on?".
Ayu's still a big star in Japan and who knows if she someday has a single, that will sell over 400,000 copies? I mean, Utada Hikaru for example sold really horribly with her ULTRA BLUE album singles in 2005-2006, and then Flavor of Life was released and it sold over 600,000 copies (and it's still charting, I think), and Beautiful World/Kiss & Cry sold over 200,000 copies. I believe Ayu might do the same someday. :) Besides, even if she doesn't, it doesn't matter. Ayu's still Queen of J-pop and always will be. And about Koda Kumi, I think her singles last year sold much worse than the ones she released in 2006. But I'm surprised how long Black Cherry has been on charts (and I love it btw), that's amazing. :0 Utada Hikaru's ULTRA BLUE has been on charts for months, even after Ayu's (miss)understood stopped selling. :p // And about that Flavor of Life single, I guess the reason why it sold so much was that it was the main theme of Hana Yori Dango 2. :3 Or something. :D |
