When I one the sticker from Cd Japan they sent me a letter to let me know I won Although I don't know how it was for Guilty since I didn't win =P

SolarAngel 1st August 2008 06:17 AM

I'm just saying it'll be nice to get AT LEAST a sticker. Or a tissue packet with A Complete cover printed on it. Something small that doesn't take a whole factory to manufacture. Of course, the main thing would still be the album lol... But ain't cheap thrills great. Just 1 puny sticker. Good luck y'all.

Well, we already have first press bonuses, so we should be happy with that.

I'd say that the tissue packet thing is a really bad idea, as those are generally looked down upon in Japan [I think] as a really cheap and last-ditch-effort sort of way to get promotion. It's like, if one artist does it, then every single artist would end up doing it.. and it all really adds up. avex can't be making tissue packets for like every single release.. that'd be insane! Consolation prizes aren't needed with this sort of lottery especially when just about everyone who orders it in Japan gets a prize anyway [since tons of different shops probably stock Ayu]. Overseas fans should just be lucky that we even get a chance to win anything, you know?

MissElin_ 1st August 2008 10:25 AM

Nah I dont think they should put in more prices in or on every copy. I think its good as it is. I dont expect to get any. Thats all. I mean, there are very few who will get a price and it will probably wont be anyone overseas. Thats what I think anyway. And IF I would get something I would get superhappy cuz its so hard to win a price. Isnt that how there kind of things works? You have a veeeery little chanse to win but if you do you would be superhappy. :P

Shipping Process doesn't mean it's already Shipped, right? On the customer support of YesAsia it says you can cancel only unless it's shipped. It doesn't say anything about being in shipping process, as I think that takes a while for them.. But it's still tricky business to pre-order two and cancel one if you didn't win, as you don't really know for sure when they'll ship and such.

SolarAngel 1st August 2008 01:57 PM

The good thing i can say about this campaign is that it's unnecessary. As in it's a little extra something for 250 fans. Some of you are contented enough with the way it is. I say it can be improved but that's just me. Give me a yard, i demand a mile. And give the humble tissue paper a break. I don't think it's tacky. If you look at no way to say PV, their tissue papers are packaged really prettily. By the way, kingdom promotion had tissue packets. Just some trivia. This is all in good humour by the way and not intended to offend.

I assume that those who pre-ordered before this thing was announced are entered in the 'raffle' (or whatever it's called?).

I pre-ordered within 24 hours it was announced on AHS so...

SolarAngel 1st August 2008 02:12 PM

I think whoever pre-orders is up for a chance. When it was announced, i think it said that those who pre-ordered BEFORE it's announced also stand a chance. Otherwise, they'd be shortchanged.

truehappiness 1st August 2008 02:26 PM

We've already had this sort of raffle twice in recent years [they also did this for A BALLADS, RAINBOW, Duty, and A BEST to name a few older ones]~

I'd say that they have the money in their promotional budgets to supply dozens [if not TONS] of stores with a bunch of free goods to give out. I mean, do you see many other artists doing this sort of thing.. for FREE? A lot of the time, artists have goods that are related to the album release that you have to pay for..

SolarAngel 1st August 2008 03:11 PM

I know what you're saying, really. Alot of visual kei stuff comes with this kind of deals. It would be NICE. Who wouldn't want freebies. It's great they're doing this. As a customer, you don't care how they do it, you just care they are doing it. And it's alright to want more. I'm not going to drop this in a suggestion box because i know it's not really valid but it's fun to talk about what you want and go beyond the realm of the possible. I hope this doesn't deflate the excitement of the draw and i don't think anyone's going to work themselves into a frenzied state of disappointment.

Ayumi_lover 1st August 2008 04:03 PM

i hope HMV also participate!! I asked them and now waiting for answer)

SolarAngel 1st August 2008 04:05 PM

Yes, this is the same thing.

The presents are always great, but the disparity between their value always amuses me. I mean, the difference between something like a towel/poster and a mere sticker :laugh

The "WE <10th3 AYU" bag is kinda ugly. I wonder if it looks better in real life. [this is for TeamAyu ONLY.]
