I think she'd lose again. =/ For one, their music is currently more popular and interesting than Ayu's music and plus, boybands generally have higher viewership than the female singers which I believe contributes to the judges decision (I might be wrong on that part!).

greggerz189 7th October 2008 03:07 AM

I'd hardly call KOBUKURO a "boyband." I think it goes without saying that Ayu is my favorite artist among all other performers, but KOBUKURO really is amazing.

I love Kouhaku! <3

I really hope this "predicted" list turns out to be true, this would be an amazing year. Hopefully Ayu surprises us with a new song by then - it would be wierd not having a year-end ballad from Ayu (even though she hasn't always had/performed one).

Chandrachan 7th October 2008 06:43 AM

Ikimonogakari, Ayu, Alan, Kuu, Mika Nakashima, Namie Amuro and Ai Otsuka - sugoii no BoA probably due to her US Debut

LacusClyne 7th October 2008 09:46 AM

hmmm...somehow with the rumour of ayu shooting a new pv in shanghai, if that is true i smell a new song...maybe GREEN or a ballad?

I don't know about that. She sang boys & girls, moments and fairyland which were not the newest song of their respective years. It may even be a standard album track to promote the album like Jewel. Anyways, i hope she gets an individual victory over the person she's against and i hope the red team wins. The guys have been trumping for too long and it'll be the first time a team's won 4 times in a row if white wins again. And my friend keeps jawing that the reason's cos of SMAP and other JE bands (who's she kidding, it's just that females have it harder for the whole voting thing). At least last time both teams had their fair share of winning. I'd like to think there's still fair support for the red team.

It's like this in my country as well. Guys win in all reality shows that has voting involved except for this newscasting competition where a girl won somehow. I'm not trying to start a feminist movement but girls should really be given their due.

Max_ZZZ 7th October 2008 06:36 PM

^ ooo thats true.
i guess then it's still anybodys guess for a new song lol. i hate false hope

Can anyone tell me, If I can hear the show on the radio at this website?

http://www.nhk.or.jp/r-news/

And which button of the four buttons do I press for it?

And if not, does anyone know, if I can her it in the internet , from Germany, too??

kakumei 7th October 2008 10:51 PM

just saw that someone posted this as "news" here.

THIS IS NOT THE LIST OF KOUHAKU PERFORMERS! This is just a list made by the editorial staff at oricon of who they want/expect to be at Kouhaku for each team. basically a prediction. The official list never comes out this early, it is announced in December.

StaRR& 7th October 2008 11:17 PM

ohh...apparently dbsk is going to be on too for the guys team (no kidding). asianfanatics posted it under their news. But good luck ayu!

Chibi_Venus 8th October 2008 12:12 AM

Yay! Ayu, Kuu, Namie, and alan! :D

Thanks for sharing!

I guess lots of females going crazy about voting. Guys usually don't even bother to do the actual votes. Instead they just vote inside their hearts.

That is why you don't see many female winners (e.g., Dancing With The Stars, Strictly Come Dancing... how often do you see a female celeb winning this show?)

AyUta 8th October 2008 12:44 AM

YAY for Ayu! Also GIRL NEXT DOOR and alan! :D

visionfactory 8th October 2008 03:09 AM

I'm really happy to see alan there! as well of Perfume and WaT too ^^ and Ayu of course.

Aggar 8th October 2008 03:40 AM

yeah . . definitely Red team . since my Ayu was there :D

Celaphorce 8th October 2008 04:17 AM

Namie's on that list!!!, OMG!, I thought she hasn't been to the KHK in like years...

greggerz189 8th October 2008 05:52 AM

^5 years.

I truly believe that most of the people on this list will at least receive an invitation.

Deneb 8th October 2008 06:08 AM

hah, again!

Lol i think almost all of us will be rooting for the Red team. Hope the gals will sing well and put up a great show!

I was wondering how come in previous years the girls won just as much as the guys. A little geek moment here. In the history of kouhaku up to 2004, the wins were exactly equal. But now it looks like people don't want to vote for the girls anymore.

Haha i don't watch dancing with the stars but america seems pretty discerning when it comes to voting. More AI winners are female.
