Okay I get what you mean. This thread should be for posting any videos/news/things like that pertaining to the PCDL. =)

@ Melrose: Whatever she sang, it was just weird! Unexplainable mysteries?:headache

Batera 5th January 2009 03:26 PM

I have a doubt...
When she does lip sync, is it only her voice that's synced or all instruments too?
'Cause to make the same moves on drums and guitar over sync might be very hard!

By the way, were SURREAL and Evolution lip synched?
I guess not, isn't? The vocals are so pretty good!!

People, people, just deal with it: Ayu lip-synched. What's the big deal? She's a human being like the rest of us. Get over it already.
lmfao way to prove Idealist's point e_e

even though i strongly want to believe that she didn't lip synced Over you did have a point :)

Oh that's ok. :) I appreciate your post, but you actually weren't one of the people I was referring to. Thanks all the same though!

after watching it a while, i found that the concert is pretty plain.

besides the interesting songs that she sang, the costume, stage designing and other stuff are really boring. too bad, the excitement of the performance just gone for me...

cbisson 6th January 2009 09:09 AM

Does anyone know how many people attended the concert or watched it on television? I'm kind of curious.

No idea about the tv thing, but the capacity of Yoyogi stadium is about 9,000.

mikecavs11 6th January 2009 09:48 AM

yea when i went to the concert, yoyogi was really small. It seems much bigger on television

MissElin_ 6th January 2009 09:48 AM

^But at CDL 07-08 there was about 12'000 in the stadium?

Then we have to count x2 for both nights.

Dan.C 6th January 2009 10:18 AM

Yoyogi does seem big on TV.

When I watched PCDL 08-09 I was guessing that the attendance was around 20.000 - 25.000. After searching on the internet I found out that its size is only 10.000 seats.

Considering that 90% of the seats were occupied (according to safety regulations, the stadiums/sport venues are not allowed to be filled at full capacity) and that there were also seats on the floor, that would sum up for an attendance of around 12 - 13.000.

The seats on the floor I believe comprise part of that 10,000. But yeah, in person I was surprised because it's actually kind of small. Looks much bigger on dvd than it actually is.

Miming the instruments isnt hard, its just playing the song without a microphone taking its noises xD Japanese TV-lives usually have live-singing and playback-instrumentals, even if theres a band

and SURREAL and evolution sounded awful, they werent lipsynched

Well, I just wanted to chime in that I really enjoyed this CDL. Because it was Premium. Ha ha ha. No but really, I did enjoy it a lot. I absolutely loved the setlist, and in my personal opinion, I LIKED the outfits/costumes. Sorry, but I like it more when there's less "overly-extravagant" costumes going on. In fact I would love it one day if Ayu just sang to us in a cute t-shirt/spaghetti straps and some sweat pants. In this PCDL, I feel that there was a greater balance of extravagant costumes and simple-but-cool/cute outfits. I will admit I felt like there weren't a lot of outfits, though.

Anyway, this PCDL has become a favorite of mine now. :)
And amazing she did it injured. Though, not unusual for her.

jonneh 9th January 2009 07:47 AM

DAAAAMMNN. Has anyone watched the "For My Dear..." encore performance yet? How did she go back to being able to get such high notes? Man, you can tell she has definitely been working on her vocals for her fans. I'm really proud of her. Or, maybe this is what happens when you sing song after song after song, back to back, for 3+ hours straight, on two nights. Your vocals just turn higher-pitched in the end and maybe even back to squeakier ;)
