I just listened to TRICK last night, I wasn't even looking forward to it, but somebody asked me what I thought, so I listened.
nothing stood out to me.
Bling Bling Bling(I started out with high hopes, then it got to be too much, and sounded like a mess)...I guess the songs I liked would be Joyful,TABOO(but then I played it too much already),show girl and TAC(I always liked it, despite the fact it features way more of Fergie than Kuu)
the backing vocals of This is not a Love Song just made it a mess.

I am not impressed.

I usually love Kuu's fast paced songs, but the techno effects annoyed me.-.-

I'm going to be honest, because as I had anticipated the release of Trick I knew I wouldn't be satisfied. I saw someone else's opinion earlier on Kingdom vs. Trick and I have to say that I prefer Kingdom over trick in the long run, and I can honestly say that Trick bores me to death.

MC/TAC-imo I don't think they should have even been on the album, would have much rather preferred Lady Go! since I LOVE that song!

Bling Bling Bling-Disgusting, it's absolutely horrendous and I don't think it does the album anything at all except make it look worse than it already does.

Joyful-I don't like it cause it's too annoying imo, it's one of those songs I'd never imagine Kuu to even think of doing.

Just The Way You Are-Considering that it had it's own pv made me think it might be a good song, but I wanted a pv for Your Love instead. Anyways JTWYA isn't a bad song it's just not a song that I think deserves on pv on this album.

Hurry Up!/Ai No Kotoba/Driving/Show Girl/Introduction For Trick-I liked all these songs, but honestly if I had to choose albums I'd pick Kingdom all the way, but I'm still ordering Trick for it's goodies, hopefully I'll get it in time.

It's just my opinion, but how people can actually prefer Kingdom over TRICK baffles me. The whole Introduction for Kingdom / Himitsu / Koi no Mahou / Anata Ga Shite Kureta Koto / Wonderland is one big cute mess, and those are almost all the album tracks.

At least the less favorite TRICK album songs show some variety. o.O Hurry Up!, This is not a love song, Ai no Kotoba, etc. are AWESOME. ^___^

I guess I'm not a fan of bland tracks then or w/e the genre of those five Kingdom tracks are, I dunno. : D

Actually, what is funny, I've let some people who don't like J-Pop listen to Driving and they actually all really like the track because it has a great beat.

Don't Waste Your Time? :D

I'm not a huge Koda fan, but I actually like Trick. It's better than Kingdom (which only had strong singles to make it any good plus the odd good album song or two). There's heaps of variety, and I like how she's experimented with keyboards and synths in a lot of the songs, it pays off. A song like "this is not a love song" comes alive in the synth parts and the beat is awesome. Driving is great, maybe my favourite song of hers to date. Bling Bling Bling is bad, but so bad it's good. Hurry up! is good too, better than the other rockish song she did. But boy did she choose the worst songs to make PVs out of. Show girl is annoying and just the way you are is album filler to be. Joyful is annoying as well. That aint cool I don't mind. The ballads are bad like usual, she doesn't make good ballads and should stop trying.

So it's not a perfect album, but it has more strong points than Kingdom.

I'm such a fan of koda kumi's earlier music and completely disappointed in the direction her music has been going since after 'Black Cherry'. do you guys think there is any hope for her to go back to releasing good hip hop songs? i'm about ready to give up on her. TRICK was a disaster.
