I don't like the K-Pop too, i hate SNSD and all the girl bands, but i like some of her korean songs

100% agree....but it's BoA....I don't mind BoA doing kpop as long as its not one of those 3 bajillion idol bands.

I love Kpop. I like the idols. They are fun to listen to. I just don't take them too seriously. It happens faster than Jpop, but isn't as reliable either. Once the buildup begins, I like the teasers. Even if I don't end up liking the final product. Anyway, BoA is an idol. With her last Korean album GOT, she did go in a very different direction than a lot of idols in her position would do so I hope she does the same thing in spirit.

for me, i think kpop is much more exciting :yes the way they bring it is so much fun and the interactions between different artist is really cool :luv2 something you dont really see in jpop

Milky Way (K version) is much better - but maybe because I heard that version first. Snow White is a masterpiece too! Etude from the My Name album as well! But I mean, those a very different styles than her Japanese music.

Yep I agree her korean and japanese albums have different styles, I love My Name and Girls on Top albums :love and love them more than any of her Japanese albums, but it's just personal taste really :yes

It's really just a matter of knowing where to look. I've seen plenty of interaction and friendships in Japan as well.

It all comes down to what you respond better to, in the end. You can't generalize an entire nation's music XD

I like BoA Japanese and English music more.

I don't know why people complain about the Korean language. I don't judge music by language. Besides, the Koreans are fascinating people. I've always wanted to go see South Korea first hand someday. Also, I like BoA's Korean stuff about the same as her Japanese stuff. I've even adapted to her English stuff quite a bit, but it's not as good as her Asian stuff.

And Korean music isn't all Idol Bands. That's become a more recent thing. I find if you don't want to listen to the idol bands all the time you just have to dig through what's there to find others who aren't ones. I have plenty I listen to that aren't.

A lot of Korean music sounds the same to me. I only like BoA and f(x). Older Korean music and indie music is good too. The language itself sounds a bit like Japanese sometimes. There are linguists who believe they are related.

I'm happy about BoA's new Korean album.

^It's not just their music that's similar at times though. I even find quite a bit of their foods can be quite close to the same thing at times. It's quite interesting with things like this.

About SMTOWN 2010... I read somewhere that only girls (SNSD, (f)x and BoA) will be included this year, like only boys last year. But it's only a rumour. ;)

soldierofsilence: OMG THANKYOU! i hate the stereotype vision people have of kpop. its NOT only boybands and girlgroups, you gotta look outside the box. and also, if you download mini-albums from those idol groups, you will see that these artists are HELLA talented, or atleast most of them. they do a catchy, meaningless song as the title-track to gain interest from the public, and some gorgeous harmonizing ballads in their albums to showcase their talent LSITEN TO IT AND THEN YOU MAY JUDGE
