I want this. Never ordered from mumo and never used tenso.
Considering the shirt is 1500 yen, how much would I have to put out total to get this shirt and have it shipped to the US?

TeamAyu2004 17th March 2011 02:32 AM

Well, if i understand everything right there is a service fee and the shipping...
It looks like it depends on oh much the shirt weights...
http://www.tenso.com/en/guide/fee/index.html
That has all the prices... do we know how much the shirt weighs??

nanakopy87 17th March 2011 02:34 AM

the tenso fee and shipping fee is from 1390yen (this is the minimum fee they charge)
if you are from USA,the fee you need to pay should be around 1590-1890yen

truehappiness 17th March 2011 02:35 AM

I suppose you probably will have to spend about 2x the price, minimum. So there's the 1500yen for the shirt/donation, and then 1500+~ yen for shipping and fees.

This is always the case when buying from Japan though.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 17th March 2011 02:36 AM

which is more than the t-shirt itself. ridiculous.

Blasterion 17th March 2011 02:55 AM

yeah it's ridiculous, but yes that's always the case.
especially when the item you want is "cheap", the fees are usually more the item itself :(

relmy 17th March 2011 03:03 AM

I wouldn't mind paying the Tenso fees if Tenso donated them to the same charity that the t-shirt is going to.

truehappiness 17th March 2011 03:30 AM

Well, they can't exactly ship for free, that's just crazy. Even when people do transactions for members here to be nice and lend a helping hand, there will almost always be a fee attached to it to pay them for their time.

The way I see it though is that it is a hell of a lot cheaper to just pay the fees than to move to Japan and start living there just so you can avoid the fees.

Yes. i agree with this. They are providing a service.
And I had to laugh at the last part... but i think living in the country would be so fun! lol

Neo Daydream 17th March 2011 04:54 AM

oo! I want this! I will pre-order as soon as I can! ^^

g~sus~ 17th March 2011 05:29 AM

I'll buy it =) It looks nice anyway haha

jbrat2219 17th March 2011 05:38 AM

I can't afford shipping AND middle man fees. I wish they would sell it in other stores. CDJ sells clothes, don't they?

Blasterion 17th March 2011 07:11 AM

I would be pretty pissed to see when CDJ or YA will also sell this, when I already bought it through middleman services ;) LOL

honestly i rather put my 15$ fee fully for japan ( and give a full 30$ donation via paypal or itunes) than 15$ for japan 15$ for tenso. yes they are providing a service i dont expect them to ship for free however they are making money out of something really sad ( if the fees were to cover only the shipping i wouldnt mind but its not the case)...i m not sure i want to support that .

Bigtop 17th March 2011 09:46 AM

Actually now, I'm now not even supporting it. I'm quite surprised that you're also supposed to have a Tenso account (I do) and a separate mu-mo account (that one, NO). Even I would question the trustworthiness. And what he/she said above, I kind of agree with that too. I'd rather do all-cash donation to a charity that I can trust (such as Red Cross, World Vision, Salvation Army, ADRA, etc.).

gothicayu 17th March 2011 09:51 AM

bigtop ---> exactly ! , one more thing shock me , tenso is a japanese company , how come they haven't made any donation yet to help japan ? ....

if people from outside japan wanna buy it and collect it because its an ayu item i can understand but saying that its all for the good of japan your giving 15$ to tenso , which will only make them richer when its the people in japan we are supposed to help not commercial companies.

(ps: not really ayu linked but for those who wanna help japan bying tee shirts here is a link http://prayforjapanshirt.myshopify.com/ 100 percent of the funds will go to japan however they only ship to US , for international ayu fans who wanna help here are other way to help if you are outside of the US http://prayforjapanshirt.myshopify.com/pages/helpjapan , here is japan red cross http://www.jrc.or.jp/english/relief/..._00002070.html)

thatstacey 17th March 2011 11:06 AM

^I'm sorry, but those myshopify links look so shady to me. I'd rather donate directly.

Good lord is Mu-Mo slow right now.

ayumisrael 17th March 2011 11:10 AM

I ordered my shirt (L size)! ^^

A lot probably order it died earlier and it's slower!

nanakopy87 17th March 2011 11:13 AM

the site is slow.but manage to place my order XD

when will they charge my credit card?now or after they shipped the t-shirts out?

thatstacey 17th March 2011 11:18 AM

uuugggh I got an error about my credit card's "oosori?" (クレジットカードのオーソリに失敗しました。) What does that refer to? Authorization?

I don't get it. I was able to order from mu-mo pre-overseas store just fine.

Edit: nanakopy87, it said it will charge your card when the items are ready to ship (April 20)
