Yeah, I was thinking like... one SKE, one SDN, and one NMB thread. I don't see what the problem would be, it's not like we'd be making 200 threads for every member or 50 threads for every team or subgroup. :P It'd only be four threads.

Chu-Lip506 19th August 2011 08:37 PM

^ i agree cause 4 threads would be good

bondingo 19th August 2011 09:18 PM

Sounds good to me. Idk how active the NMB thread would be, but definitely for SKE and SDN. There's plenty to post about in both of those right now. Anyone who actually cares about being the one to make them wanna do it?

Ranma Matsuri 19th August 2011 09:19 PM

I think what needs to be established here is how many people will actually be keeping those threads. SDN's thread has become much like Aspen mentioned. I wouldn't mind SKE and NMB threads at all as they are their own entities, but are there enough fans here to keep them healthy and alive is the only concern I have.

I vouch for the subunits thread as well as I would like a place to discuss them apart from the AKB thread. Since any news regarding the subunits comes one after the other and hardly ever all at once, it should be easy to manage 5 different groups in one thread.

Yeah, 1,025,952 is just so ridiculously crazy - I mean, where did they came out of five years ago when AKB48 started?!

Good thing they ARE my favs :laugh

That's just ****ing INSANE. I'm so happy for them! That has to be another record. I really didn't think this was gonna do better than Kachusha (especially since I don't think it's nearly as good), but I guess it did.

dreamland2.0 24th August 2011 11:22 PM

Your sig is amazin' Polyrhythm :laugh

Ranma Matsuri 24th August 2011 11:42 PM

LOL Polyrhythm. XD

Jesus, this is incredible. I wasn't expecting the results single to once again defeat the election single since Hebirote (the song) is pretty much one of their "classics" now and I didn't think the sentiment would be the same for "Flying Get" but guess I was wrong. I really thought this would be the single we see the first signs of their steam running out, I'm so happy this isn't the one since it's (imho) their best 2011 single so far (but of course, the Beginner/RIVER'esque song of this year will slay all :innocent ).

Well, enough of my rambling: Congratulations, AKB48! :banana2 :banana1 :happy1: :heart :hat :colorjump :clapclap :spazzed :group

Polyrhythm 24th August 2011 11:56 PM

I hope they go back to a more classic AKB sound though....I'm tired of all the overproduced stuff...I mean, all the songs are great but....I want AKB48 to be an innovative act again.

dreamland2.0 25th August 2011 12:33 AM

Classic like what?
They've used the same composer for a lot of their singles.
Seifuku, Oogoe, Beginner, Kachuusha. All by the same (amazing) composer.
But I agree they need to shake things up a bit more. And put out some new stages.

Polyrhythm 25th August 2011 02:12 AM

Yeah more like their def star stuff, or at least something different.

So did I! I guess that wasn't the case at all though, which makes me extremely happy :D

I'm also hoping for something innovative for the next single. Even though I've adored the past few singles, I want something that's different from the majority of their peppier songs; something more like another Beginner or Kurumi to Dialogue. They do hot songs really well based on the few they have, and I'd love to see that for the next single. I really do hope it's even better than both RIVER and Beginner. My hopes are way too high at the moment, so I feel like I'm only going to be disappointed. I'll be honest: even though I do love Flying Get, it was a bit of a let-down. I expected just a bit more.

LacusClyne 25th August 2011 05:55 PM

polyrhytm, i love your siggy!

haha

i have good faith that their next single should be something good too. it's like a pattern,

spring- 'sakura' theme single
pre summer- cheerful song for summer, pre election
summer- election single, theme will depend on the center
autumm-darker song
