Nelly was huge in the UK (and worldwide) in 2006. Maneater, Promiscuous, Say It Right, All Good Things Come to an End? Then the album Loose? How did you miss that? They all went at least top 5 and finished in the top 40/10 in multiple years of the yearly chart in the UK xD She was definitely one of the biggest acts of 2006/2007.

Anyways this awards show is definitely a bit shady. They don't seem to consistently have awards or any type of decent format. Though I like the idea of a WMA, definitely. But maybe one who doesn't have Ayuma Hamasaki as one of the nominees

I don't know anyone who liked it/remembers her?! It was 6 years ago though, I guess? Still, there's a lot of stuff you still hear from then, I don't hear that song at all anymore.

Just noticed they corrected her name from 'Ayuma' to 'Ayumi', thank you WMA..

I guess as a fan of hers I have a very different perspective of her career. Loose with all those catchy RnB-Pop hits from 2006 is by far my least favorite thing she has ever done, my favorite is 2003's Folklore with it's unique musical style that got rather popular in Germany, but flopped in most other countries. Then she released a Spanish album in 2009(she pretty much vanished from the World music scene except for two singles that smashed in a couple countries) and her 2012 album was a gigantic flop - even when it was one of the best Pop albums of the year.

So yeah, she was huge in 2006, but then she decided to go into completely different directions(no more generic Timbaland pop, another language...) and disappeared from the scene, even though her music improved.

I remember last show they did i watched ALL of it...just to see namie. Was a bit miffed it was paris hilton, could of got some one a lot better to do it :(

To be honest, I hated Folklore... :thud And here in Germany there was no way to escape from it in 2003... For me it was plain annoying ... lol I listened to it again some time ago, but it annoys me as much as it did back then. The only song I truly love from her is Maneater... xD
