Ayu only recently talked about moving to LA, I'd say she's almost certainly been renting, and now with this house being up for sale she's probably finding something permanent for her and her husband. That'd be my guess anyway.

so she sold her beach house in Japan, and this LA house probably a rental property, so we are only sure now that her house in Tokyo is hers? I think we saw her Tokyo house right? or is it just the beach house that has been featured in the mag and book?

I feel like the truth is she never intended to live in either the Zushi house or the LA house, and simply used them for photo ops simply because Ayu doesn't come off as the self-centered celebrity stereotype that has to be surrounded by her face and trademarks as decorations (The Ayu Pillows, the A Best 2 art deco, the A symbols all over the place), and due to house fast she sold them once they served their purpose (photobooks). She's a very private person from what I hear, so I can't imagine her using her REAL home for photoshoots.
