A Chinese version of The GIFT (+ possible duet) MAY be in the works according to JJ Lin. (Skip to 1:34 for Ayu related questions)

MR: Your recent music video with Ayumi Hamasaki has created a lot of buzz. How do you feel about the whole experience.
JJ: It's really beautiful; very dream-like. Ever since I've met Ayu (no more Ayumi Hamasaki haha) till her guest appearance at my concert, it already feels like a dream come true. And yet after that I got invited to Japan to be the male lead in the music video, it all really feels like I'm still dreaming. And I feel that the end result is really great. I'm very glad that I can be part of this process and also play the piano accompaniment for The GIFT. I hope we can collaborate and create more magic in the future. I heard she's interested in making a Chinese version so we're now in the process of writing the lyrics.

MR: The fans find it a shame that you didn't sing with her in the song. So will you be singing in the Chinese version?
JJ: A duet version? Well I can consider that! Maybe a different version, a duet version.

A chinese version? I wonder if this version could be released on the chinese version of A ONE as a bonus or instead of the japanese version of The GIFT.

The GIFT gives me such a warm spring-ish feelings... Time stops, thoughts are overwhelming my mind and soft wind keeps blowing, marking a new season. Really beautiful piece! And I love Ayu' vocals~

The song is definitely growing on me. So cute, innocent, optimistic, hopeful, and thankful. A great wedding song. JJ, however, is not, and will not, be growing on me. LOL thank God he's not singing on the track.

There's two things I learned while re watching the pv

1. Ayu pronounced the I in gift more like in the English way than the Japanese way.
2. JJ seems to be actually playing the piano. Reminding me of the 2chan backlash when singer songwriter and gifted musician Amuro Namie mimed the piano in Let Me Let You Go.
