^ The first ones that come to my mind are Wake me up (Remo-con rmx) from again, Far away (Alex M.O.R.P.H. Extended rmx) and poker face (Ronald Van Gelderen Extended remix) from ayu-mi-x 7 presents ayu trance 4 (the physical CD had short versions, but the digital version is the extended mix, totally makes a difference). Also Ladies night ~another night~ from BLUE BIRD. But I do need to check older remixes once again, she has loads of them.

At the time it truly felt like a lifetime between 2000 and 2008 as Ayu was so prolific and productive during that time. Or maybe that's just how time feels when you're younger. |
I have been re-watching some old Ayu's MVs and correct me if i'm wrong, and i know i'm probably slow, but Rainbow basically, well at least what i see, is literally running away from yourself, maybe your past self, when you finally stop and face them, and manage to accept and forgive, that's where the love of who you are happens and you become whole and comfortable in your own skin. I would say the whole "No rain can't get the rainbow" could also apply to the you have to make mistakes and go through hardships to become the "rainbow", it led to who you are now, it grew you as a person. Also the colours that Ayu's outfits changed with. At the end she's in white before she goes into black. Almost as if she's a blank canvas ready to start something new, she's forgiven it all and accepted who she is, and then she's all in black, sitting on her own, almost like what you get when you mix all the colours in one, all the different aspects of one's person. Sort of like, you are all those colours now, all those different aspects of what makes you - YOU. She doesn't need to be a certain colour anymore, cuz she's all of them, she's whole.
It just kind of hit me now.... LOL |
