^ooh i see.
i think i prefer concerts that are small and intimate with the audience rather than big productions. if she ever has another tour, next time around, i'm getting my butt in there no matter what! xD |
^thats how I felt after seeing the concert...
I have never really seen someone quite so famous doing such a small concert...I've only been to large concerts in big venues... Now, definitely, this is like my favorite type of concert ever. It was sooo personal. I wish it was something that was more plausible for bigger artists...but I know it isn't. I'm really happy she got to do it. |
First post updated with San Francisco show info. Keep checking for new pictures, videos, and info.

Went to the House of Blues Vegas show. Security for this one was EXTREMELY STRICT. As soon as the show started a security guard flashed the light at someone near me who was recording and told them to cut it off. It was literally "If your camera is out, you get kicked out." On the second floor, a girl took a picture and was immediately escorted out of the area. Security was crazy. I wish I got footage but I was too scared of getting kicked out. The House of Blues Las Vegas is only slightly bigger than a normal House of Blues. Tickets were not sold out for this event. There was about 15-25 seats left available for purchase on the 2nd floor (which is a place you really can't see anyway).
During the concert Utada said "I was really nervous about this stop because I was told it was the only one that wasn't sold out..." and we all said "awww noo" and then she said "I was thinking like half the room would be full or something...but this is big.." etc. There was also one part where she said "At the San Francisco show, I saw a lot of people waiting for me, and I wanted to be cool like Jay-Z or something and sign autographs and be cool. But I walked to my car and got in, and nobody said anything...I was waiting for people to put their hands out for me to sign something..." very lol. This was apparently her first time in Las Vegas surprisingly. She is VERY pretty! I stood at the 4th row of people but lucky for me, everyone was shorter than me and people stood back to back but I stood inbetween them. There was no special songs She does throw another 12 soft baseballs. And the drummer threw his stick to the audience also. It was an amazing show. I loved it a lot. Such a personal experience seeing how close I was to her. I was literally about 8 feet away from her. |

So if you're doing the HoB, it's really easy to get pass the line. They say you have to order an entree, but we came in, ordered a drink, and the waitress gave us someone else's receipt. You just have to be really nice about it, and I don't think anyone really cares what you order. We were in and out in like, 5 minutes. Security was insane. I was 3 people behind the very front, so I got to see her super super close. The security guard in the front kept flashing his flashlight into the crowd, so he ruined almost all of her songs since it would shine in my eyes. I managed to sneak a picture at the end, but I was so scared they would see. The picture sucks. You can barely see anything, but hopefully you can get the feel of how close I was. She wore this velvet dress with randomly-cut holes in it, showing the bright pink from under the dress. Same studded ankle boots. She said it was the most-fitted outfit she's worn since the tour began. I have no idea what she sang. There was that DJ who played for an excruciating hour. It was SO HOT. The two hour wait was unbearable, since people starting sweating. When she finally opened with the intro to exodus, it was all screaming and jumping until the very end. I'm surprised, since I'm not a big fan of TiTO, but she made it sound really good live. It was so amazing. I don't think we'll get another chance to see Utada in such an intimate setting. She was really able to connect with the audience the whole time. There was one point where she sang to me because I was jumping up and down so much. It was amazing. I couldn't stop screaming. She actually looked me in the eyes. *faint* |
This just in....reportedly, members of Kat-tun (a Japanese band) and EXILE were spotted at the Vegas show. Can anyone who attended confirm? I know it might be false identity as many Japanese people (no offense) may look the same.
Utada also signed a couple autographs this time around http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_T-Qsc5_L2S...o/s400/070.JPG And...the only video footage from the Seattle show |
O! I want to see what she wore!
|
I totally forgot about this thread. :O I've only been watching the UBlog for info.
They didn't mention anything about the free posters at the SF show or the autographs at the Las Vegas show. o_o I passed the info along though with the proper credits! MY SHOW IS NEXT MONDAY! I'm so excited! |
Audio recording of the entire Las Vegas show can be downloaded here:

thank you :heart |
First footage from Vegas....very short...looks like security was tight...I heard this time, people were escorted out...without a word at the first sight of a camera @_@ Utadanet members report that those who were found to be carrying cameras at the security check were escorted out immediately...Scary stuff.
Yet...a few brave souls dared....and now we have footage :D |
i just watch of those video her tour was amazing . i hope they will release a dvd of her tour

>_> I can't believe it...my brother is at the concert right now....so jealous :thud
|
pommy were you kept from going because of the age thing too? I don't understand it...it's so unreasonable...I mean at LA it was all ages...and what is the difference? Have they not all got drunkards and beer, and skin exposing waitresses? I mean I an understand Vegas...to some extent...they are crazier but this is really sad to me.
