According to a friend of mine Namie is in Rome now..I think she heard it on mixi or on the fanclub only page.

Bigtop 12th March 2011 03:06 AM

Quite a relief there - away from Japan?! :thud

I'm not sure how she will react when she comes back from Rome...

Alessia_Tateno 12th March 2011 03:11 AM

I'm sure she heard about the earthquake already..it was pretty big and even in Tokyo area we felt it (even though tv says that in Tokyo it reached 5.0 scale and not the 8 one like Sendai)..it was actually pretty scary and cellphones/telephones didnt work for HOURS, gas was stopped and in some houses even the eletric didnt work =(

Rocky Raven 12th March 2011 03:24 AM

Hope that everyone in Jappan is okay Y-Y
Do u think she will postpone the release date of Checkmate ?

Alessia_Tateno 12th March 2011 03:52 AM

Nope, everything is back to normality in Tokyo..trains, eletric, gas and cellphones work again..why would she postpone the album release?

I think it will be definitely possible (at least in Tokyo) unless other things happen (hope not). in Sendai it's a disaster so I don't really know if it's wise to go in there.

Yea my trip wont involve the north of japan for the most part, do you thimk going to Akita would be okay? I know there isn't much damage there but I believe to get there via train you have to pass by Sendai x.x

Oh, glad to hear that Tokyo is back to normal :) but anyway, personally i still hope Namie will postpone the alb release, i mean,... the other place of the country is rebuildin' and recover after the disaster... at least doing that to show some respect.

Celaphorce 12th March 2011 11:27 AM

^But if you think logically anyone who's releasing albums and singles would have to push back dates and that's a lot of work, if sales suffer then they suffer, it's better for everyone to get back on their feet then to purchase a Namie Amuro cd, I want good sales for her, but with this I doubt it'll be as good as I figured unless lots of people preordered, either way like I said more important for people to be safe and start living their lives again rather than purchase any album for that matter.

Rocky Raven 12th March 2011 11:36 AM

I guess u misunderstood me or something, i dun care anything about Namie's sale at this moment, honestly i even hope that japan artist'll stop release music for at least a week or more, many ppl are suffering...

tenshi no hane 12th March 2011 01:39 PM

^ It'll be bad for the economy if people stop selling stuff. Besides, music can be a source of comfort to people who are (mentally) suffering, so why stop releasing it?

Yes I agree if all of japans economy stops because od the earthquake things would just be worse

No not really, I didn't misunderstand you, I was giving you another way to look at it, and either way it's still senseless to push back a release date even with a disaster as such happening, that's just my opinion.

JackieRos 13th March 2011 01:31 AM

so music is worth much important than a natural disaster?

who's going to be thinking about buying cds when they can use the money for much
more important things to help in a disaster?

either way sales are going to drop
