I'm so happy that I have the tours i want from that list on dvd already... spending £60 on the Rock n Roll circus blu-ray was not kind to my bank balance... was more than worth it though

Mintkisses 9th July 2011 03:25 AM

This is awesome! I can't wait to see Ayu in Blu-ray quality :D

Ayufan11 10th July 2011 09:35 AM

Can someone let me know when they get these how the picture quality is? Sometimes they are lazy and just port DVDs onto bluray and only end up looking a tad bit better... therefore not worth almost 100 dollars, lol...

truehappiness 10th July 2011 11:28 AM

It should be VERY good. They would not simply upscale an SD source, lol.

Basically all of the concerts released on Blu-ray will be at about the same level of quality as AT10 which was fantastic! I think we've seen snippets of HD versions of the concerts in HD-live compilations such as the one she had for the 10th anniversary on WOWOW.

All those concerts have been shot entirely in 1920x1080 HD, we know that from a number of sources including past TV broadcasts.
So they will have proper quality.
The reason she only releases back to AT05 is because that is her first tour fully filmed in HD and for older ones they'd have to release inferior quality.

Aderianu 10th July 2011 03:44 PM

I'm sure that quality will be awesome!

Anyone tried to buy from TA shop?

Doesn't really matter if it was filmed in HD or not they could always remaster it... Also I've heard that the video quality isn't always that great like many blurays coming out nowadays that are filmed in HD doesn't necessarily mean that it comes out looking perfect on bluray. I remember recent Namie Amuro concerts on bluray looked mediocre and those were filmed in HD. I will wait to hear what others say... I'm addicted to bluray with my 165+ growing collection so If I'm spending almost 100 dollars on one disc I'd like to be reassured how good the PQ is going to be. Being filmed in HD doesn't mean much these days.

Oricon just counts DVDs.
Blu-Rays have a seperate chart.
But don't ask me which one, I don't know, lol.

For some reason, Oricon doesn't publicly release their Blu-ray chart, though I occasionally see totals from them for anime Blu-rays and ones that have broken various records/ranked #1.

Usually we only get to see totals when the articles about ranks come out at the end of the week.

fanayutic 20th July 2011 10:34 PM

wow.. so they really did not include the making of videos.

Maybe they weren't recorded in HD?
Then the choice was including them and getting **** for them not being HD or not including them(and by doing that possibly saving one bluray).

channy 20th July 2011 11:04 PM

I am really looking forward to snatch those blu-rays at JPOPsuki. Especially Arena Tour 2006 and Asia Tour 2008 in superb HD quality :)
