I hope it'll open her into a new door for her song release. I mean, wouldn't it be great if there'll be like a mixture of full english and jpop songs in one hikaru utada album? XD

Mmm I was listening to Simple and Clean today. A wave of nostalgia hit me man. If it weren't for that song, I honestly don't know how my music tastes would have been like. Thanks Utada Hikaru <33

I wrote English lyrics for "Can't Wait Till Christmas"

When Christmas comes
Oh, babe,/ I won´t bre cryin´
Because I will grow /and I´ll be/ so far from you ah ah
You know that is just a lie
Coz i need you by my side
I´m already/ ah ah/ Lovin´you

In the spring, with the trees in blossom, I found love
With innocent smiles and kisses near your house
We passed through the seasons till the youth was gone

When Christmas comes
oh babe/ I won´t by cryin
My hometown has grown/ is too old/ to remember you ah ah
You will think that is just a lie
But I need you by my side
I´m already /ah ah / lovin´you

In the summer, with the fireworks we grew up
The happiness of those days was a-all we had
As the sea was waving we were falling down

Autumn is here, like the birds, you are goin´further
What once was a song/ has become/ my last sight of you ah ah
And our promise already sank, that season is back
Tonight is Christmas ah ah
When Christmas comes/ Somehow/ I feel nostalgic
I´m already grown, /and I am/ so far from you ah ah
This time is not a lie/ I don´t need you by my side
I am ready ah ah to forget you

Hope u like them

Oh no. I wouldn't like that. Oil & Water just don't mix.

Polyrhythm 10th August 2011 04:26 AM

Angela Aki begs to differ.

As long as the English songs are nothing like the disasters that made up most of Exodus, I wouldn't mind.

bluegie 10th August 2011 08:12 AM

I would prefer hikki separating two languages when making albums. Angela Aki is a bit different. Her Japanese and English lyrics are similar (thought wise). Hikki's thoughts are apparently different when she writes songs in different languages..

I'm listening to In The Flesh mp3 rip and began wondering what happened to the concert release? There's still no date and concert was held in the beginning of last year, right? Or was it released when I wasn't following Hikki news at all? :D

you can watch iso's with vcl too

It's not getting released. Hikki (well more like her dad :trolleyes) had a falling out with Island Def Jam. Frankly, I'd rather not have it be released...keeps the experience sacred for those who went. Its not really the type of concert that would be interesting to watch on DVD anyway.

I have so many problems with this train of thought.

Awh, that's a shame. I'd have loved to have seen it.

Btw your opinion was pretty selfish. Sorry for not having the money to go to a concert, but jeez...just because a concert is on DVD so the rest of her fans can buy it and watch it, doesn't make it any less "sacred" for those who went. The experience is always very different if you were actually there anyway. :shrug

If she released we'd get a million complaints about how boring the whole show was...."Wow that was crappy. So little people. No costume changes. Tiny stage. wtf not enough songs blablabla."

Andrenekoi 11th August 2011 02:44 AM

^Anybody who complains about it is stupid, we already know the stage is small, there were only a few people, no costume change and the setlist

Why do we care what others think.
I just want to have a keepsake from a great concert that I went to.

emi♡ 11th August 2011 03:40 AM

seriously, and I thought it was great. She really rocked out...I'd watch it again :shrug

I guess you can't really express how "personal" the show was in a dvd...but I think it would be great for anyone who didn't get to go.

Besides, if they want all that big show stuff, then they should just not buy it. You know what you're getting before you buy it...why would people be crazy disappointed?

idk. I don't think it's getting released either...but I still think it should be released, and I definitely want it to be.

I mean, people from Japan even flew over here to see it :/ I don't think it would disappoint that much...

Huaka 11th August 2011 07:54 AM

I thought the concert was horrible because I had a bad experience from it. So I don't really care if it gets released or not.

I'm happy to hear she singed one with EMI for future English music. HAHA well IDJ was horrible for her anyway. I know most people don't like Exodus... I actually liked it as well as TITO.... but IDJ didn't do her justice. None what-so-ever.

I really miss Hikki! I'm glad she is on hiatus for herself, but I look forward to her coming back and releasing more material. <3

Polyrhythm 11th August 2011 08:36 AM

Well obviously, it would be a much appreciated and treasured release for the people who went...but I honestly, honestly think people who didn't go and watched a recording would be like wtf....this is lame. Cause I can totally picture right now how it could come off as that. And I wasn't bashing on people who didn't go...but ITF was not an Ayu show. It's not going to be amazing both live and on film. It's just going to get stomped on. A release is just not practical (especially with all the issues they are obviously having with this). My point (that I'm sort of not getting across clearly) is that an ITF release is basically a flop in the making. She's sort of past that peak in her popularity where she can just pull a stripped down show (Utada Hikaru Unplugged) and have it sell like hot cakes. It just wouldn't do the show any justice being portrayed like that. There was never a DVD in the making anyway (I don't care how some twitter user tried to take Teruzane's words out of context to make it seem like he said there was going to be a DVD) and I kind of dread the idea of a low quality iTunes release....thing. :irked

Zeke. 11th August 2011 08:47 AM

Are you kidding me? The general consensus is that people are liking TITO more than EXODUS!? That has to be a joke!

NintendoHTF1242 11th August 2011 09:59 AM

You're all discussing such a stupid topic and I suggest we talk about something else.

So, FINAL DISTANCE PV, best PV ever? Yep.
