Just saw Mika performed on FNS Kayousai and she did Hanataba , with K accompanying her on the piano

She wore the same red lace top & blue trousers as in previous live performances when she did Hanataba on past TV shows . But earlier on she also wore false reddish pink eyelashes oO

Mika sounded quite strained when she tried to hit the high notes but could tell she did her best

you guys are such drama queens, just listen to most of her lives nowadays and her voice is perfectly fine. Have you even watched Best Dears & Tears?

People only remember the "bad" days and it's just so darn frustrating. I'm not trying to defend her no matter what, but let's get realistic here, compare her current singing to 2011 or so, if you don't hear the difference I can't do anything for your besides telling you to go consult an ENT specialist or something...

I rather hear Mika sing out of tune than lip synch . You mean you guys want that to happen ? :rolleyes

If so , go ahead and listen to a CD instead . Lip synching defeats the whole purpose of doing a live performance in the very 1st place

Mika's past health problems affected the way she sings & a while ago , her hiatus due to her health put things in uncertainty as there was no telling if she would continue on & likewise after she got married , that happened too

And everytime if any artiste says she/he is leaving the music industry , by then it's too late as before that the same group of trolls kept on complaining that he/she sucks in live performances he/she does

Seriously , please spare a thought for Mylene and for those who genuinely supports Mika over the years . Before you hit that Press comment button on here , think of this - how would you feel if you have to do a live singing performance that will be broadcast to the whole entire country ?

You probably can't even get a single sound out of your mouth & also , if Mika's live singing makes your ears bleed , by all means watch her performance muted

Nobody says it's a must for you to watch Mika perform live anyway

Disclaimer: I haven't heard any of the Hanataba performances in question.

But that's only because the more I listen to my copy of the single (which I now regret ordering, btw, because I find myself skipping every single track when I have iTunes on shuffle) the more I wonder...why would you ever record a song that is so out of your range? To the point where you can't give it a decent live performance because you can't reliably hit the notes??

She has made enormous strides since her struggles in 2009/2011 but it doesn't mean she can sing this particular song well. She would have been better off choosing a comeback single that she can nail effortlessly rather than a song she can get 90% of the notes right in maybe 1/5 of the time, and maybe then the general public would have paid more attention to her efforts to recharge her career.

RIGHT? It's like someone laid him on a counter, at a slight incline, and all the juice in his legs pooled into his upper body.

He looks much cuter here than in his promo photos for sport. He has a "dorky" but adorable appearance to him.

On the topic of MIKA, I'm still not online with this MIKA RANMARU thing. A live release? OK. But this is like the MICA 3 CHU thing, which yielded a couple good songs, but didn't look all that great.

EDIT: I can't even imagine how hard this experience of singing must be for MIKA. I remember feeling so disappointed that this whole thing erupted right as she released STAR, effectively terminating promo support for what turned out to be the most entertaining record of hers since MUSIC. I hope she feels better soon, and continues trying. She doesn't have to hit all the notes imo. She just needs to keep up the drop dead gorgeous visuals and well-meaning lyrics... and please no crazy.

This upcoming live CD probably might be a 1 off thing although I rather Sony release the actual footages & not just the live audio recording

It put things in limbo and at that time when Mika was going to celebrate her 10th anniversary at Nippon Budokan , that had to be cancelled because of her health problems

It was almost quite similar when ayaka was diagnosed with health problems (hers was different) but both ladies' careers were in uncertainty mode as nobody knows if they will continue to resume their careers when both separately took place

Luckily that have changed considerably since then and both ladies are still active in the business . Let alone , each of them found their happy ever after with their future significant 1/2

The point I want to make in my previous post is , before anyone complain & whine on musicians in the music industry , spare a thought for them . Do you really think that by just pushing the Press comment button easily with your vapid crude remarks , it will make things better ?

No and luckily since Mika is not really that active on social media (let alone knows how to read English) , she wouldn't bother and care about trolls that don't deserve to be known as 'supporters' of her

I've never seen a non-idol lip-sync on a TV show before.. she wouldn't even do that if her voice was straight out f*cked. Main thing is that she promotes her song and that people get interested in the song and it worked for me lol
