^ In the preceding five years, I think I've given up on even trying to make sense of Ayu and her management's strategy in terms of releases. :shrug

one of the best lyrics she has ever done along with Tell All's I'm gonna become the reason you breath

Lol, I was reading a thread from December 2005 and there were the same complains like in present day : "she's not selling 700,000", "she's changing style so I don't like it", " she should retire" and then people who were defending her. And I thought that these complains started after the FIVE/Party Queen era lol

lmao
I think people started complaining around RAINBOW era because she really changed her style at the time

thirteenonejay 6th January 2016 11:39 PM

I don't know, I'm pretty sure there were complainers since LOVEappears. She went from innocent to posing sorta nude for the cover right? Heck, maybe there were those who actually enjoyed NOTHING FROM NOTHING and was disappointed in the lack of rapping in a song for xx!

She has just deleted something, but I cannot remember which one :(

I miss Ayu's upper register.

EVERY performance of Dearest during the single promo was a masterpiece.

^ this proofs that Ayu is a great vocalist no matter that some people try to say otherwise.

I do love that one, and pretty much all of the performances. The X'Mas version or whatever it was called was just a fantastic mix though.

This is also one of my top 3 performances:

I prefer when she sings through her diaphragm like this Dearest live back in 2007.

I love these Dearest videos. I can't find the one I wanted to share so I guess it must've been removed from Youtube. My 2 favorite performances of Dearest: the award show performance where she was crying during the song, that was so moving. The other one I believe may have been performed for TV (I'm just not sure) and the whole stage was pretty dark and she was wearing this long, slinky dress with her hair straightened. There was only a piano accompanying her...ugh, it was amazing. Sad I can't find it... >.>

btw, did anyone ever watch Ayuready back when? I was thinking about it the other day and how cool it is that she got to have a TV show like that. It must've been great for advertisement.

voltron 8th January 2016 07:17 PM

^ I think that may have been one of the acoustic performances, which were also spectacular.

I used to LOVE Ayu Ready?! I remember a few years ago her staff gave her a collection of it on DVD as a gift, I really wish they would release it. I lived for those performances.

We should open a thread for our favourites tv performances. I'm sure many people don't know many of them!
