Why did they change the cover though? o_O
Yesterday was actually my first time seeing Halcali's albums in a store here. The other stores I've been to only had their latest singles...I think it's just hard trying to track down their albums here in Japan o_O |
It was a parody of some famous painting in Japan that got too close I think. They were pressured to change the cover.

^ Ah, thanks :) ...man that new cover for ongaku no susume sucks....o_o;; Hmm.
Btw, does anyone happen to know who exactly runs this halcali day by day blog? ^^; I'm assuming they live in Japan. |
All I know is that it's run by a guy, in Japan, going by the name 'Jariten'.
His blogspot profile isn't public (if he's even done one), so I can't find out anything else about him for you. *shrug* |
Hmm..just curious. I think it'd be cool to meet up with whoever runs that blog--we could go try to find Halcali together :P
|
^Somehow I've always thought you were a bit of a stalker...
|
Shut up -_-;
|
^Off topic, but look at your post average!
|
^ Eh? I don't get it.
Anyway, back to HALCALI...fun times, I just picked up their single "Strawberry Chips" and totally forgot there was a Limited Edition/Normal Edition for the single. Today was my lucky day....I picked up the Limited Edition (with 5 songs instead of 3 on the Normal Edition). :D I intend on collecting the rest of the singles....^^;; |
^Looks like Japan is turning you into a crazed consumer who buys everything in sight.
|
I have the limited edition too!
I got it from YesAsia though. :D Actually...come to think of it...I have every HALCALI cd....and the DVD....o_O |

A little off topic, but who are these Teriyaki Boyz? I saw one of their CDs while shopping the other day.
|
the teriyaki boyz is a band Created by Nigo(from bape sound) it features Ryo-z(rip slyme and OTF member... he writes the lyrics of halcali), Ilmari (from Rip slyme too), Verbal(from m-flo) and WISE(from bape sound/kaze no hito).
They have been produced by pharrell williams ( from the Neptunes) , Beastie boys and Daft punk (among others) .. sadly this Unit was created only for One album.. beef or chicken... and after their succes they released a dvd/cd... and according to Nigo hes planning to release the teriyaki boyz at france http://img381.imageshack.us/img381/6990/5dadd6513ak.jpg heres a link for the album.. if you are interested http://rapidshare.de/files/10737549/..._Boyz.zip.html From Left to right : Verbal, WISE, Nigo, Ilmari & Ryo-Z i hope that helps |
^I saw them on TV last night while channel hopping. They actually appeared on the MTV South East Asia VMAs. Wasn't too impressed with them though, but then again I've never been a big fan of hip hop. Thanks for the link still.

sora-kara: I joined the nostalgic lavender forum :) But..the layout is too light on my screen :weep So I can't post on there yet lest I hurt my eyes...
Yay, I picked up BABY BLUE! single (used) at Bookoff today. Pretty cheap, 400 yen. :D ...was a little disappointed, though, that that was the only single I could find :( Bookoff is a good place to save *some* money... |
My friend hates HALCALI. It makes me sad.
He thinks they're poser rapper preppy girls. :( I told him it's just fun and random, get over it! |
^ o_O Well...they're kind of an acquired taste, I guess. I remember when I first heard of them in 2003 (when they first came out), I thought they were annoying. But, yeah, now I think they're okay. :D Haha.
