I heard once that when they sing on TV on Japan, they need to pay the music composer royalities, so... they make it shorter so the performace is "cheaper"... Hikki composes her own melodies and lyrics, so, she doesn't have to pay... But I don't know if this is true...

I always thought it was because of like, air time you know, they shorten it so that it doesn't take up so much time, and then if they have other artists performing too you know...so the whole show fits.

But that would make sense too...because I didn't think these shows were any more special than like Popjam or music station...yet the performances are so long...who knows lol
