Singer, Namie Amuro (33), reached another milestone with the release of a new compilation featuring her work with various artists. The new set, "Checkmate!" debuted atop the Oricon Album Chart with 253,000 units. The success of the album has pushed her total compact disc sales as a solo artist passed the 30 million mark making her only the fourth solo artist to ever achieve such sales.

Even with new releases Namie is still #1 today with 13790 copies sold.

^^WOW she's def gonna pass Ayu and I find that kind of funny since ayu's was an original studio album and Namie's was a mere collab album, she's taking over!! She truly is a Wonder Woman!

The weeks following the first week sales always make me sad because that's when you see the new albums coming in and taking over. I'm pleasantly surprised to see that Namie has maintained #1.

The song is titled "Fight Together". Unfortunately, there hasn't been word of there being a full version of this song. I hope that there will be because this song is too good to just be the theme song of an anime. I feel like it fully deserves to be a single.

I'll be pissed if she does. We get music from her so rarely that any chance to have a new song should be taken, especially since I thought the One Piece song was only ok.

Um, aren't the TV size versions of songs usually cut from full songs? Fight Together will probably be an actual single or digital release. They can't just make a one minute song just for the show! If they did, what a rip!
