I won't pay more than 1,000 Yen, it's original price.
And my middleman fees aren't that high as well as shipping for such a small book.

I Just did a special order at my local Kinokuniya book store. They told me that none of their US stores carry it, but they can special order it.

I heard that they wanted 23 dollars or so? That sounds about right considering shipping/exchange rate.

I called them to make a special order. They told me it would come out to $18 and sum cents in USD. I can't wait to pick my copy up when it comes in the store. I never really shop at Kinokuniya (I shop at BOOKOFF), because it's so pricey, but this book is so cheap! :)

Try to get the book via HMV? However, shipping costs may make it so that you end up paying around 35~ anyway.

I guess you COULD ask someone on the west coast to buy a few copies and ship? I'd be willing to ship out some copies if anyone was interested in buying the book as well but I would have to charge a bit for shipping and transporting the goods back and forth. (hopefully I won't have to charge like 35 but we'll see!)

I should be able to get a Kinokuniya membership card that will allow for discounts and stuff... will keep you posted!

I received an email from CDJapan regarding the availability of the book. They said that the publisher estimated that it would take them approximately 5 - 10 days to fulfill my order. While I'm unsure if this email is just referring to fulfilling existing orders or if they'll get more in stock for others to order, those of you who haven't ordered yet and want to wait for CDJapan to get them back in stock can see if they become available again within that timeframe. They said they'll email me again if they receive further updates. However with availability of this book being quite limited in numbers at this time, I would suggest ordering it from anywhere that can get it for you or show them available to order now.

Even people who ordered (early) from mu-mo won't be getting theirs shipped until mid-September, so there are indeed some delays in filling orders.

^Yeah, it seems some people complain about it at mu-mo. It tends to be several weeks late.

I don't believe Kino does shipping services to people's residences, just to stores. They should not have additional charges. However, they may have quite a bit of markup. Maybe it's more expensive for them to send it to NY so the markup is higher?
