Well, at this point in time, it's been months since the last new song so this is at the very least something new for people to gnaw on until a new mini or something.

It's generic and so what!! I think it's fantastic! I've been waiting for a song like this from her in aaaggeeessss. I love it! Woohoo!

Mmm, I don't think generic in this case is a bad thing at all but it sometimes sounds kind of like people are dissing the song or something (even if they don't intend to). IMO, it's just a 'safe' track which is something to be expected when she's doing a song for one of the biggest RPG franchises in Japan.

I agree. "Generic" isn't necessarily a bad thing, especially in this case. It's very clear what Ayu does best and she delivers here in spades. Also, at this point in her career, her ventures into experimentation have produced the worst music in her career (Brillante, the entire Party Queen album). I would rather have a "generic", typical, solid, and very strong song from Ayu than a poor, weak, "interesting" song.

^ Mhmmm, I think that it has been developed this way (generic) as to allow the next album to achieve #1 on the Oricon. It's likely the other songs on the album will be similar in this sense.

I love this song haha <3 It reminds me of Nana Mizuki's stuff and classic anime themes and stuff. It's very nostalgic :)

its been so long since i felt this way about an Ayu song in the past 3 years--SHE IS BACK! this is like Immature + Free n Easy. it does sound somewhat generic, but it has that distinct Ayu sound, especially her voice... it's a good, true Ayu song.

lol, its so amazing to see how many people hate a song and then love a different song... and it's usually reverse...
the people that didn't care for party queen are flipping out and the people that loved party queen are like, blah. (this applies to some, not all of course.)

I loved Party Queen (the album, because the title track was the weakest song of that entire album), but I also love this...I just wasn't that much into You & Me though, because the whole composition really lacked an overall climax (the verses were dead and the chorus though powerful in instrumental had some pretty flat composition - as if ayu just recorded monotonously praying a rosary). I don't mind generic as long as they build up with emotion that build up in verses and reach a peak in the chorus and an extra peak with the instrumental solo, which You & Me didn't and Song 4 U fortunatelly does.

I really enjoy it, it comes with "generic" but it's very "retro" - sound like sth from LOVEppears to me.

It's not another medium or ballad or cheery-techno-experimental and there is a lot of my beloved YEAH YEAH IYEEEEEEEE IYEAAAAAAAAAAAH. <3 xD

Chorus could be more "powerfull" (I love the verses, sounds somewhat diffrent and fresh in her vocal) but YEAH YEAH have made it very very good.

Didn't like it at first, but now I'm really enjoying the half of the song that we have. I mean, it's typical ayu, and I KIND OF feel like she played it safe, but I guess it had to go with the same. I can't wait to hear how Melody and Missing are going to sound.
