I'm dead.

Hopefully she'll do a cover like sunrise!

brener 15th March 2015 07:41 PM

The box could be something like Love songs LP package =)

Toniayu123 15th March 2015 07:44 PM

^Please let it be.
So far I only have read the lyrics for the new songs and I really love them :yes

...What's edgy about an album of the usual commercial ballads and a couple 90s anime songs? Serious question: do you know what "edgy" means?

BlackSilence 15th March 2015 08:24 PM

^.... :rolleyes

lmao. Girl, you can roll your eyes emoticon @ me all you want, doesn't change the fact that the album isn't edgy and she doesn't seem to know what that word means.

"Edgy" isn't a word you can apply to an album of commercial crowd-pleaser ballads, period.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 15th March 2015 08:38 PM

I was wondering what you meant by "edgy" too. I mean, WARNING could be described that way...somewhat. But that's it.

Right, and WARNING is still stretching it since it's pretty much business as usual as far as Ayu rock songs go lol

attractive nausea 15th March 2015 08:45 PM

What does "edgy" mean anyway? Some of us aren't native english speakers so we might throw words we don't perfectly know the meaning of.

"Edgy" isn't a subjective quality. I mean, it is to a small extent, but that's just it: it's a small extent, NOT one that stretches to calling something as commercial as an album full of crowd-pleasing ballads "edgy." Words have definitions and meanings for a reason. You can't just pick a random word out of a hat and apply it to whatever you want and then claim "that's just because it's my opinion!" That'd be like saying the sky is purple because you're color blind and can't tell the difference.

The album isn't edgy by any legitimate meaning of the word.

mizuki-7 15th March 2015 09:13 PM

come on ! This album has 4 ballads out of 10 songs stop to call it "a full of crowd-pleasing ballads"... We know you like Western commercial music but what you call 90's anime songs is much more edgier than Terminal, Lelio or anything related.
However, I agree "Edgier" was not the good word to describe this album !

koumori 15th March 2015 09:17 PM

Discussion is good, jumping on anything people say to tear it to pieces isn't. If someone wants to correct someone else's use of a word, take it to PM... keep this thread about the new album, not dissecting someone's English usage.

Kazeyomi 15th March 2015 09:18 PM

I don't think A ONE sounds edgy so far neither, lyrically wise it's strong tho. But complaining about too many ballads on an Ayu album? Lmao seriously.

Tom Punks 15th March 2015 09:26 PM

Uh...

I'm sorry, Koumori, but that's just a little draconian of you lmao. This isn't even remotely off topic. The discussion of whether the album is edgy or not is still discussion about the album. The definition of the word had to be brought up since some members here don't know it, and one even asked. It's not about dissecting someone's English usage just to be an ass, it's about explaining why the album isn't edgy. If we aren't allowed to discuss that in public, then that's pretty fucking sad.

Baernash 15th March 2015 09:26 PM

I don't have big expectations about the covers: it will be just her face (like on many covers before).

PS. If someone is looking for EDGY album than go and try last Kuu album which just comes out.

truehappiness 15th March 2015 09:28 PM

A ONE isn't really 'edgy' but it's not 'safe'?

It's like a kitty with fangs. It has a bite to it. It's certainly edgier than a LOVE again or Love songs, but I'd say Colours or Rock'n'Roll Circus were less fluffy than A ONE will end up being due to the ballads.

The RnRC Box was ok, it was new concept and it was not soooo big... but PQ Box was just too much :headache

If A ONE have a strong concept it would be nice a box as big as PQ's

I'm gonna have to agree to disagree with you about the 4 ballad thing, because Last minute and Out of control fall on the ballad scale for me. That puts it at 6 out of 10.

I never brought up Colours, but in terms of Japanese pop, sadly it is "edgier" than A ONE is.
