She mentioned during the MY STORY TA or beatfreakish interview that it was given to her on accident as a demo but it wasn't meant to be in the batch of songs for her but she enjoyed it enough to make lyrics for it anyway and thus Liar was born.

Funniest part is that I think she finished the song lyrics since she was so excited by how good it was and when she went to the director in charge of the demos he was like "There was no song like that on there...", lol.

I love how you know a lot of things, it's very interesting to read!

But I honestly can't picture how with 7 years of relationship and lots of love songs that she wrote during that time, there is only one song about Nagase...

MY STORY was the first Ayu album I ever listened to because it had My Name's WOMEN on it which was my first Ayu song. What it felt like listening to it was that the first songs were awesome and then the ballad section killed it for me. Fortunately I didn't give up on Ayu and I started listening to her other works because if I had just listened to MY STORY I wouldn't be here today lol

As a fan now, I like the songs on this album but listening to the whole album at once is such a drag. It's way too long and overfilled with ballads. Yes, I like these ballads individually but I don't feel like listening to them all at once.

Liar and HOPE or PAIN are forgotten bops.

About you, GAME, WONDERLAND, HAPPY ENDING, Moments, walking proud, INSPIRE and Humming 7/4 are from great up to stunning!

I also tend to like my name’s WOMEN a lot (that PV is amazing!), BUT the song seems endless... the double chorus at the end has no variation at all. This makes the song sound like an old, worn-out chewing gum for me.
I have the same issues with Songs like Beautiful Fighters and WE WISH.
I do like these Tracks but a shorter end and/or a little variation would be more appreciated.

I also see MY STORY as a transition between the old and new ayu.
I’m a fan since the end of 2001 and realized the evolution of her with the MY STORY Tour.
AT05 was such a huge step up compared to her previous Tours.
The Setlist was fresh and the whole concept was planned so well. The overall execution is amazing!
Still one of her best tours until now and one of my absolute favorites!

I think Memorial address was the beginning of that transitional period but MY STORY was the point where she crystallized into what she was meant to become.

Now i'm convinced more than ever that they don't have the HD source/project material. It's also possible they're just lazy and ripped it from the DVD copy.

My Story has a few selected songs I really like, but listening to the whole thing from start to finish is a drag for me :( also, it gives me a really melancholic vibe, like ayu was rather sad writing it (apart from the few happy songs) I really love LIAR and am interested who this song is about...

I still remember how shocked I was by the ending of HAPPY ENDING:

"I know more than anyone else
That a happy ending doesn't suit me"

so sad!!! :(
