Twenty-one 3:48 minute songs could fit on an 80 minute CD, and some DAI singles are longer than that, other a bit shorter, but no song is under 3 minutes in length, I'm pretty sure. I'll check some of the song lengths from the albums I own. :) 01. Tangerine Dream (GTB Ver.)-3:57 02. Heart-4:09 03. Oasis-4:56 04. Yesterday & Today-5:02 05. rumble fish 06. We are. (Shortened GTB Ver.)-3:54 07. Desire-4:29 08. tooku made-4:02 09. Week!-4:16 10. fukai mori-4:02 11. boukenshatachi (GTB Ver.)-4:14 12. hi no ataru sakamichi-4:23 13. under the sun-4:04 14. under the moon 15. shinjitsu no uta-4:14 16. mahou no kotoba~Would you Marry Me?~-4:19 17. honjitu wa seiten nari-3:13 18. hiiragi-4:28 19. rakuen-3:38 20. For the future 21. TAO Adding those 17 songs was about 71:24, leaving 8:40 for rumble fish, Under the Moon, For the future and TAO. Since each of the 4 remaining songs is not 2:10, there has to be two discs to fit all these songs. :) |
Quite a few of your timings are off, BanFan. Possibly due to the rip or something but the version of "rakuen" you have there is the PV rip. And the non-GTB versions are longer. But anyway, till "For the future" it's already 86 minutes - throw in "TAO" and it'll be around 91 minutes - around 45 minutes per disc.
|
^Yup, I was trying to add more up with full J-poop samples, but all I could find was Rakuen, and I figured that the GTB ones were shorter, especially 'We are.' because it skips one of the choruses/and/or verses.

That single collection is interesting. I may consider to buy it but there's so many things to buy.. Namie's QoHP, Ai, Ayu and MM's future albums, Koda's best of and now this..

I know how u feel my orders are large lol. Im about to post another again in the Latest order section
|
According to HMV.co.jp, the breakup of the 21 songs over the 2 discs will be according to album order and as follows:
Disc 1 01. Tangerine Dream 02. Heart 03. Oasis 04. Yesterday & Today 05. rumble fish 06. We are. 07. Desire 08. tooku made 09. Week! 10. fukai mori 11. boukensha-tachi Disc 2 01. hi no ataru sakamichi 02. under the sun 03. under the moon 04. shinjitsu no uta 05. mahou no kotoba ~Would You Marry Me?~ 06. honjitsu WA seiten NARI 07. hiiragi 08. rakuen 09. For the future 10. TAO I think it's pretty obvious by now - Disc 1 covers from "BREAK OF DAWN" to "DEEP FOREST", while Disc 2 covers "Do The Best" (admittedly only so because "hi no ataru sakamichi" was on it"), and "TRUE SONG" to "NEED YOUR LOVE". |

>_>; Well, its a nice split, wonder what kind of packaging they'll use o_o |
Im be playing Both since I like lots on stuff on Disc 2 but Disc 1 has some of my favorites.
|
To be very frank, I like "TAO" a fair bit - it may sound like "hi no ataru sakamichi", but hey, I'd rather have material that sounds like a rehash of their older, good quality stuff rather than material that tries to be new and ends up sounding bad.

There are still so many DAI things I need to get~ |
Someone knows why 詩 from "真実の詩" is "Uta" and not "Shi"??
I saw in several translator that 詩 is Shi and Uta is 歌 or 謳 |
Shi means poem..but I'm not sure why..
|
Quote:
In old Chinese, 詩 can be used to mean both "poem" & "song", & that transferred to Japanese when they borrowed some characters. 歌 or 謳 are the more common ways of saying "song" now (as with Chinese, we pretty much say 歌 & never 詩). |
