I don't think sales should be compared by year. Like 2006 u have her (miss)understood album n 1st week of secret album which is half of the secret sales.. Maybe it should be on a single-single, album-album basis. Like Guilty and 2007 asia tour, it's lagging compared to secret n miss(understood) tour. But for MW, it's an improvement compared to glitter/fated n t2m :)

It's still not out so there is no point in adding it to the list ^^ obviously. Plus the last 3 singles she released didn't or barely did hit 100 k in the end. Even FREAKY sold only 108 k in it's initial week. So I wouldn't be expecting it to sell that high.

And don't forget that this week it's going to outsell Startin'/Born To Be... as well XD

Btw, Hikki's new single Prisoner of Love is selling really low, just 38902 copies on it 1st initial week!!

Prisoner Of Love was a complete re-cut, with a -Quiet Version- and some instrumentals thrown in. All in all, still a re-cut. Mirrorcle World was an extended version of Mirror, and it also had Life and new versions of YOU and Depend on you. It deserves to sell better than Prisoner Of Love.

Yeah but didn't something like this happen to beautiful world/kiss or cry? And in the end it was a platinum selling single. She has a much longer charting life than ayu. That's why for ayu, it's really important she sells as much as possible during the 1st week. Guess that's why for t2m, many of us were dismayed at the 1st week sales figures.

I was surprised because my friend said she had to 'hunt' to find MW for me in Tokyo HMV. She said she couldn't find it in Tower Records so either the stores aren't displaying them or avex isn't shipping it. So it's a little like the chicken or the egg. I was wondering whether low sales are because of lack of shelf space or vice versa.

It's been almost two months since it was released...maybe that might have something to do with it?

While I agree with you (and mostly because I thought the PoL song was horrible) I just have to say that didn't Ayu do a re-take version of "YOU" about 5 years ago for her A BALLADS disc? So really the only "new" material was Depend on you, Life and the beginning and latter halves of Mirrorcle World.

... Still think it deserves to sell more than PoL, though XD
