BENI's new album "Lovebox" will be released June 2nd.

This is her second full album in about 9 months since "Bitter and Sweet," which was released last September. Just as the title says, it is full of songs depicting happy love, sad love and various other forms of love. The 14 tracks include the singles "Sign," "bye bye," "Yurayura," and "Gimme Gimme" as well as "Girl's Night feat. JAMOSA." The unplugged version of "Zutto Futari de" is also included as a bonus track for you to enjoy.

The first-press limited edition has a DVD included. It has the PVs of the four singles as well as the PV of "KIRA☆KIRA☆" from "Bitter and Sweet" and footage from the recording of the "Zutto Futari de" unplugged version.

Just noticed that the rings on her right hand on the CD only cover spell out "BENI". They're so gorgeous, especially the CD only! I preferred the CD only of B&S too, actually.

Her official website mentions Bitter & Sweet selling over 200,000 copies... I thought Oricon only reported the sales of that album being 100K, no?

I'm not sure but sometimes it can happen . Like for Mirrorcle World , RIAJ certified it Platinum but it didn't reach 250K worth of sales , it sold like 190K + according to Oricon

Should I listen to her Beni Arashiro stuff as well as her BENI stuff?

Well, there are always two sides to this story. Oricon can't track ALL sales and there have been some disputes in the past that they might misrepresent them. On the other hand, record companies like reporting higher numbers to make their artists seem more succesful. My guess is the truth is somewhere in between, especially because the album hasn't been certified Platinum (as far as I can remember.)

As opposed to Crystal Kay's Color Change, that was certified Gold but only sold like 35.000 >.<

RIAJ certified it Platinum for shipment of 250K copies but it only sold like what 80K according to Oricon T-T

Well, her Harmony to Luna singles are alright...everything started to get really good when she released Mou nid to.

and then um, her three beni arashiro albums, Beni, Girl 2 Lady and GEM were not so good, imo. You guys could still give them a try and see if you like them :).
