Mezame to tomo ni mado ni me o muke
Yawarakaku tsuyoku sashikomu hikari o Mita ra nazedaka namida koboreta Kikoeta n darou tashika ni kanjita n darou * Kyou no konna sora nara kitto umaku Aruite ikeru ki ga suru n da Sou bokura wa kono aoi hoshi o Fumishimete ikite ku n da yo Kono sekai ni hirogari tsuzukeru Subete no kanashimi wa iyasare naku tomo Utsumuita nara tachidomare ba ii Susumu beki de wa nai to iu aizu na n darou Kyou no sora wa takaku too sugiru kara Umaku kokyuu ga deki nai yo Demo bokura wa kono aoi hoshi o Fumishimete ikite ku n da yo Kono sekai ni habikori tsuzukeru Subete no ikari wa tomerare naku tomo * (repeat) Ima bokura wa kono aoi hoshi o Fumishimete ikite ku n da yo Kono sekai ni mada nokotte iru Ai o tashika ni dakishime nagara Kono sekai ni mada nokotte iru Ai wa tashika ni koko ni nokotte ru -------------------------------------------------- I woke up, looked to the window Saw the soft and strong ray of sunlight through it And somehow, tears rolled from my eyes Maybe because I heard something, I felt something for sure * I feel I can surely walk on well Under this kind of sky today Yes, we live on Putting our feet down on this blue Earth Even if all the sorrow continuing to spread in this world May not be healed When you bend your head, you can stop Maybe because it's a signal that you should not advance I can't breathe well Because the sky is high and too far today But we live on Putting our feet down on this blue Earth Even if all the anger continuing to take root in this world Can't be stopped * (repeat) Now we live on Putting our feet down on this blue Earth Firmly holding love in our arms That still remains in this world Love that still remains in this world Definitely remains here |
wow! so fast and i'm waiting for this XD
i wonder if this the song that she wrote when she was in London? thank you massa, love it <333 PS: A world is One inspired??maybe just a coincidence XD |
I really love the lyrics. Its like..the entire song is a story. I love lyricists who do that...playing with the words in choruses to make them slightly different yet mean different scenarios. (if you dunno what im saying...its something like Beyonce's If I Were A Boy)
now the question is...WHY LAST LINKS? i love how she said blue star.. |
thanks a lot
nice lyrics. |
wow thanks a lot for the link!
I totally love the deep meaning of this song! |
thes elyrics are so beautiful and touching, does anyone has the download link for the song?
|
Hope really shines though in these lines. Very pretty indeed.
Thx for the translation! Again, very fast! |
beautiful lyrics!!
i have no idea but this song somehow relates me to the atmosphere of ecology issue. Does Last Links refer to the last bond people have to our Mother Earth? |
Thanks! The lyrics in the choruses especially are so beautiful. <3<3
|
thank you so much !
|
The lyrics of Rock'n'Roll Circus all sound so amazing.. I can't wait to finally get the album and hear the songs! :D
|
what a calm and sweet song! thank you masa!

esp the part where she says she can't breathe well |
Oh so beautiful! I feel like she is talking at the same time about world's problems to expresr her inner sorrow. It's like hope and self acceptance...
Thanks a lot masa! |
thanks masa
|
Thank you so much masa!
When I first heard this song I loved the arrangement. Now with the lyrics, I think it may possibly be the best track on the album. These lyrics make my eyes water, they're so powerful. |
The lyrics are beautiful and I can't wait to hear the song!
Since I've read the title "Last Links" for the first time, I was curious about the song and I'm sure, it will be wonderful. The lyrics are bittersweet; sad, but they also give you hope! VERY powerful! I love it! :heart THANK YOU for the translation! |
Thanks!
|
I really, really like this. It sounds like something I would write! X) But really, this sounds great. I can't wait to hear the actual song! "We live on" is a favorite phrase/philosophy/whatever (lol) of mine. So I'm in love. :)
Thanks, masa! |
This is the song. This is the song on the album that has the lyrics that touch me the most and feel like they were written for me.
I love this. Quote:

Thank you Masa,
|
God i love this song so much. Probably my favorite on the album thus far.
Thanks for translation. Love it very much and its very appreciated!!! |
You are welcome.
There is one thing on which I'd like to hear your oipnions. Even if all the anger continuing to take root in this world Can't be calmed The Japanese word "tomeru" is usually translated into "stop". But I couldn't find any example sentences including "stop the anger" in the online dictionary, so I used "calm". But if it's no problem to use "stop" as below, I think it's closer to the original lyrics. How do you think? Even if all the anger continuing to take root in this world Can't be stopped |
beautiful lyrics
|
"Cannot be stopped" sounds just fine to me!
|
"stopped" definitely is all right masa. (^_^)
|
I personally think "calmed" is far more poetic than "stopped" because you don't stop being angry, you lose your anger by being calmed. I personally think you should leave it as "calmed" Masa. It's something that makes complete sense in English as well as being more of the opposite of anger than just to stop it. Does that makes sense? Really, to me, "calmed" just reads as so much more meaningful than "stopped".
|
Thanks for translation!
I love this song and lyric^^ |
Beautiful lyrics!!!!! :luv2 Thanks for translating!!!
|
"Love that still remains in this world
Definitely remains here" Oooh, I love that! |
Beautiful lyrics. Thanks so much!
|
Finally hearing the song, and seeing the lyrics, I think this is the sort of song I need when I'm down; it's really such a beautiful song and very well written.
Thank you for translating! =] |
i really love the translation!
nice song nice meaning |
Let me confirm one thing.
She is not saying that we can't stop (calm) our own anger, but that we can't stop (calm) other people's anger completely. And in my interpretation, this is the anger that causes racial discrimination, conflict, war, terrorism, etc. in the world. |
Thanks masa! It's beautiful!!
|
Wow, just...wow. Very beautiful and poignant lyrics! I can't wait to listen to the song, I hope the music does it justice. It's rather reminiscent of A song is born huh?
I agree with Nessa, "calmed" just sounds more...poetic (?) Can't describe it, but I prefer it over "stopped" |
all the lyrics are stunning!!! thanks for this super fast translation

ETA: Masa, might I suggest "soothed" in place of both calmed AND stopped? Soothed means the same thing as calmed, but it sort of implies something more poetic and gentle -- http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/soothed To soothe is usually associated with one person soothing another person, which ties in with what you said about Ayu talking about stopping someone else's anger. |
Hm, I looked up "to soothe / soothed" and it's なだめる / 和らげる in Japanese, hm...
I think "stopped" would be best since that's what she actually said in her lyrics (止められ), so it'll be up to whoever's reading to interpret it as soothing/calming the anger of the world, you know? I sort of would rather like to have translations that pretty much say exactly what Ayu's trying to tell us so that what she's saying doesn't get lost/mixed up in the process of translating. |
Yes. "Stop" is stronger than "soothe" or "calm". I change the word from "calm" to "stop". Thank you.
|
thx ^^

I prefer as close to the original phrasing/words as possible as well, and I think masa does a great job of making them flow nicely from Japanese into English and still having them be poetic :yes I guess I'm just letting my flowery synonym side take over x_x Apologies! |
Since it's a WORLD song, I definitely think it suits the news show. And she did make this in london right? because credits show the London Strings was involved. Strange coincidence with A WORLD IS ONE? or after? hahaha...
i've yet to hear the song but the lyrics, reading them again, are so beautiful blue star <3 |
thanks!

"Blue star" might be an inaccurate translation. In japanese aoi "blue" can also mean "pale".
Just a thought though, don't take my word for it. |
wow!!!
since i hear the sing, i love but yoyr traslation is so deep thanks a lot for every translations |
I changed the line arrangement, according to the official lyrics.
And I noticed that "hoshi" is written as "地球" (Earth) in the official lyrics. So I changed the word, "star" to "Earth" in my translation. |
I thought this was another love song but it's like the songs on I am... to me. o.O I thought she sings something how breaking up can hurt you but this song really reminds me of the songs on I am... and rollin' as well. :) I like the lyrics. <3
|
Well these lyrics are simple and sweet, nothing special.
Thanx for the translation masa :D. |
I am just reading this again and nearly began to cry.. this so relates to the situation I am in right now (for me at least).. thank you so much for the translation again, this is really precious to me now.
|
thak you so mush!
this song is always playing in my head ... She reminds me a lot (( |
I love this song so much more now, thanks!
|
I just love this song!...thanks masa
|
It's curious how both Ayu and KOKIA used in their latest albums hoshi implying Earth... so different music but the same origin, Japan!
Thank you for the translation! - a very beautiful lyric btw... |
I don't like how it feels like I've heard the first couple verses before a hundred times.
