wow NEXT LEVEL's NINKI index was so high and look at it now... lol oh well this is just an inaccurate indication. I want this album to do so well badly. It deserves it

I think it's really great!

AKB48's album ninki was 204.70 and they are really popular now so it's good a bit more people showed interest in ayu's album.

It might not sell more or as well though. =P

NEXT LEVEL's NINKI was high, but it sold pretty meh. It's like talkin' 2 myself had a HIGH one and was her worst selling single of the last X years...

Yeah lol, talkin' 2 myself's NINKI was her highest after Days/GREEN and glitter/fated since 2007, yet all the other singles with lower NINKI outsold it ^^

I think the people who said, "YES! I wanna buy talkin' 2 myself single from Ayu!!!" are trolls.

I think a lot of Ayu fans got polled for that one, while for Mirrorcle World, not that many got polled.

ninki is just a survey.. so i think it generally shows who debuts in the top 5 but it doesnt really do it accurately.. theres a high variance :D

but nah...i don't really worried about UVERworld, their popularity is stuck on the same level...
i think UVERworld just can sell about 100-125k on the first week...
ayu is really save to get number one position...

I remeber the first day sales of NEXT LEVEL is pretty high. The NINKI seems represents that fact.
The NINKI often means just people's expectation. I think the reason why NEXT LEVEL's NINKI is high is due to the success of 10th Anniversary campaign. However, at this time there isn't any big activity now, so people won't have any expectation before they listen the whole album....Hope this time ayu's Rock music can reverse this situation and make her back to another peak!!!

exactly thats why whatever nikki say is never accurate . i strop looking at the nikki prediction since every time the number are either too low or too high .

She'll get number 1, I don't think there is any doubt about that. What I am more interested in is the actual sales. That Ninki is not good compared to her past ones. But sometimes Ninki is just crap though.

Yeah, considering the biggest competition is UVERworld which has never sold more than 200k copies of an album and that AKB's sales are dropping like mad, we have nothing to fear.

I am hoping she'll at least be able to clear 200k in the first week. Considering that NEXT LEVEL only had a slight drop from GUILTY's real first week (should be around 30k) I say she has good chances. If that happens the album will have good chances of getting close to NL numbers.

Didn't they only poll 300 people at first? But it has been changed to 400-500 now. Dunno if it's true lol I just remember reading something like that some time ago

I seem to remember the same thing as aloopy - that a couple of years ago the number was raised. I can't remember where I read that from, but it would certainly make sense.

ayu will definately get #1. no one needs to worry about that :P the NINKI is good, though!

i would hope it sells more. album sales just seem to decrease in general for some artists i think though. even everyone thought its better than NL. anyway i would hope for more than this haha . . the past predictions are a bit. . .strange.

That's only first week sales. On the second week (and third week combined?), RAINBOW beat KinKi Kids' F album (ending their album streak :P) and topped the chart again :).

She is #1 of course, but i hope better sales!!!!!

I don't know what they use, but they tend to say "400 people were polled" but sometimes numbers can climb into the high 500s if it's Arashi or something. I really don't know HOW / WHY that hapens, but I guess it'd be better to say that these NINKI numbers are a sort of index that comes from some other figure. Like if there's a high percentage of old people, their "yay I will buy it" counts as more... or something, haha.

The way they do it (I think) is that they have 80 people in each age group (teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s,) and there are 40 males and 40 females in each group. If Ayu isn't such a big hit with most of the people, you can't really expect her to get a high ranking. It just depends on who is polled and what their preferences are, I suppose, unless it's an artist that EVERYONE loves like Arashi or Mr. Children...

What exactly is the purpose of NINKI? It's so pointless.

Of course it'll be #1, but I'm not expecting sales to be all that great. >.< Good to see she has a lead on the competition, though.

I suppose it's for people who only buy what's "in" and they can look at the NINKI to decide what to buy, haha.

Well, I think this might be a little bit harder, particularly because of UVERworld, but they're not doing a promotion path strategy that Ayu is using...

No one even knows/cares about what Ninki is unless they have an Oricon fetish or something. It's really not a big deal here I don't think.

Then what's the highest you can get? I always assumed the ninki number was the number of people who responded positively out of the ones polled.

Highest I've seen was 570+.

Another really high Arashi NINKI:
Ayu's is higher than Fukuyama Masaharu's for Zankyou, and he ended up selling a LOT.

In any case, yes, I'm tired of Arashi and this boy band fever (although Tohoshinki has some good songs). The era of solo female singers needs to shine once more!!

I know. My Arashi comment was in reference to their ability to get HUGE NINKI numbers compared to other acts. It was unrelated to the chart specifically.

Well, I pretend that they don't exist usually on the charts since their inclusion throws off the top 20 yearlies since there're like 5 singles from 3 different boy bands in it, haha.

So I like to think of the yearlies without them and judge people's sales from there, haha.

I'm starting to think that NINKI is based on the sales of the last record... :P

Boy bands begone! I just wish they'll disappear from the face of the music industry.
