PV version vs. Album/Single version
 

There are some PV's that have other ver. of song than the "original" one (from single or album) And yeah, all we know about it xD What you think about them? Which one is better? I know that this task was mention before for sure, but every opinion can change :D

WHATEVER - I don't even know clear, it is the diffrent ver on album? Cause i never listen to it. I dont like any version~

LOVE ~Destiny~/LOVE ~Refrein~ - Why this song can't be in album in ~Destiny~ ver -_________-? ~Refrein~ ruined this song!

Kanariya - the PV version rules them all (someone's, something vocal track remix or sth like that. :D) , i don't even now, where exactly the original (slow one) version of this was in O_o (what a true fan, lol)

Fly high - yeah, the PV ver. is softer, the intro is better, and song sounds a bit more melodical and not so chaotic like the one on album. But they still very simmilar. But PV ver. is better.

Endless Sorrow - definitely the original one that was in PV, the album ~gone with sth boring~ is... boring.

Daybreak - definitely album ver Oo this PV HAL mix made from very emotional, almost sad nostalgic, to a "happy nostalgic song". Can't stand this mix~

And uhm, im reading Ayu's discography right now, and that was my mystery from the begging about the "versions". Key ~eternal tie ver.~ and Memmorial Adress ~something ver. session blabla~. I always think "Is this ORIGINAL version of them Oo? xD" But Memmorial Adress would fit "ver." tie, cause it's in fact a COVER. (i like the original one too :D)

GREEN is different in the pv. The bridge is twice as long. I preffer it to the original, I think it sounds nice with the extra long bridge.

I like kanariya pv version waaaaaaay better

The only one in particular that comes to mind that I enjoy is the PV version of Fly High...

Pepi, we have two versions of WHATEVER on a single: M and J. M was used in PV, J for commercial. And remix, sounding similar to M, is on LOVEppears album.

There are my opinions:

WHATEVER - definitely M, I even don't remember how J sounded. BUT REMIX FROM LOVEPPEARS OWNS ALL OK. I LOVE this intro.

LOVE ~put something~ - ~since 1999~ is terrible, ~refrain~ quite good but not as good as ~Destiny~, which is one of my favorite Ayu's ballads.

kanariya - I'm in opposite... I prefer album version more!

Fly high - I get used to album version and nothing can change it.

Endless sorrow - let's be honest: single version sounds terrible. Arrangement is unlistenable and her voice is bad. I'm really, really glad that ~gone with the wind ver.~ exists.

Daybreak - it's one of the best Ayu songs and both versions are amazing.


I didn't notice the thing with GREEN PV... I have to find audio rip!

^haha yah!! Wow I don't think I've ever heard anyone say they hate the single version of Endless Sorrow??? What don't you like about the arrangement??

For Whatever I like Version J more. I like the arrangement more.
Love ~Destiny~ I like better but I enjoy Love ~Refrain~ as well.
I prefer Kanariya PV version. It's more mysterious.
For Fly High I like the album version more, but both are good.
Endless Sorrow: single version is one of my all time favourites! It has one of my favourite arrangements from Ayu!
Daybreak I like album version more, but the Single version has grown on me.

On LOVE ~Destiny~/~Refrain~... I agree. ~refrain~ should have been left off Loveppears.

Endless Sorrow was, imo, better on single. The album version's production is too happy-sounding for a song of that subject matter.

Well let's see...

1) Endless Sorrow - I'm one of the weird ones that actually prefers the album version. I don't know....to me the single version is really boring, especially when it comes to that random-sounding bridge :no. (I agree with you ` flying proud :D)
2) a song is born - Even though I am not a big fan of this song, I prefer the album version as it doesn't include Keiko lol.
3) Kanariya - I quite fancy the PV version :yes, but the album version is not bad either.
4) Daybreak - Album version by a tenfold. I can't stand the single version. Ayu sounds lazy and the song just sounds...weird :o.

So I guess you can say I'm more of an album person :laugh....

^ I actually have to agree. I really like that song, and I can't understand why everyone hates it. Come to think of it, I forgot to mention that one in my post. I prefer it over LOVE ~Destiny~ lol.

i like gwtw version of endless sorrow, but i still preffer the single version more. It's called "endless sorrow". it's not supposed to sound like "let's be happy".

LOVE ~refrain~. Makes all the elements that were wrong with the original great.

I actually really actively dislike the gwtw version of Endless sorrow... it's got a contrived "let's do U2 guitars" arrangement, her vocals are passionless, that wind sound is so gimmicky and childish, and the whole thing is very flat. The single version is epic and melancholy and dramatic and gorgeous.

I agree with Kanariya. The album version is really really boring and sounds like a generic ballad :|
Love Refrain its ok, nothing special compared to the single one.. but that's ok lol.

I remember when I first bought the LOVEppears album and was so happy that I could finally listen to my favourite songs like "WHATEVER" and "Kanariya". Wow, I was soooo disappointed when I heard "Kanariya" because I REALLY liked the PV version of the song. I've listened to the album version like twice in my entire life and I don't plan on listening to it anymore than that. I'd rather watch the PV if I ever feel like listening to it.

The what is the name for [Fly high] PV version and [kanariya] PV version? I want to download them!

Though I prefer [Fly high] album version, I also want to alternate to the PV version and have some kind of variation to the song.

I wonder why the album version sound like it was cut in the beginning? Does anyone notice this?

SO much hate for the album version of Kanariya. The album version topples the PV by a long shot. I prefer the softer more R&B arrangement of it that's on LOVEppears.

For me, both versions of "kanariya" rocks! (^v^)b

But the album version got played too many times for me, you know?

All the song you mentioned I only listen to in PV version, maybe I tried album version once or twice but that's all. Definitely prefer the PV version of Fly High.

I also love PV version of Together When... with the car noise and marionette hitting the ground, it adds much more emotions. I like the intro melody in Fated PV with Shawn in the swimming pool / bath.

I know Fly High is the Voodoo and Serano mix. :)

I very much prefer Endless Sorrow's single version; it's much more dramatic and melancholy than the album version, and I absolutely love the string arrangement.

Although this wasn't brought up in the first post, what about sample versions of songs in CMs??

For example, STEP you in the Panasonic commercials, About You in the Morinaga Bake commercial, July 1st and Moments in the Visee commercials, you know?

I honestly think STEP you's remix on "fairyland" was an attempt to try to slow down the instrumental pace to match the Panasonic version. :P

I love Daybreak PV version than the album version imo. I believe Daybreak PV ver. has the nostalgic feeling that gives a feeling of hope which Daybreak expresses at the first place, right?

Endless sorrow PV version is way better than GWTW version. The album version is kinda flat as Delirium-Zero said and it has a childish feeling on it in contrast of the song lyrics. The single arrangement suits the song's meaning and the PV itself.

I'm surprised that many people don't enjoy the original version of Endless sorrow. I prefer both! ~gone with the wind ver.~ is below the original however for me. I much rather listen to the original.

I heard H/\L's mix of Fly high first, so I'm used to that version.

I adore again, H/\L's version of Daybreak. I think there's more emotion to it.. it's a very peaceful mix.

LOVE ~destiny~ is the best. All the other ones are poo poo.

endless sorrow single ver is soooo much better than the album ver.

also, these are small changes, but the my name's WOMEN and Days PVs had the bridge extended and the ending extended respectively. I prefer the slightly longer version of Days.

The Kanariya PV song is one of my all-time Ayu faves <3

I prefer the extended ending as well. I think it does a better job of driving the message of the song home.

GREEN is an amazing song period but yeah, I like the extended bridge in the PV more than the regular version.

I remember not liking WHATEVER at all the first few times I listened to it on Loveappears but when I saw the PV for the first time the other day (yeah, I'm a pretty recent Ayu fan since 2008, lol) I absolutely loved it. Now I know why because the versions are different, lol.

It's been a long time since I've seen the Fly High video so I don't remember the PV version at all. I love the album version though.

I do prefer the album version of Daybreak over the single. It's a lot more melancholic and smooth.

I have yet to hear Love~Destiny~ or the original Endless Sorrow but I don't like the album versions at all so I'm going to go listen to the originals now and see if I like those lol.

moments is different too, because there are some sound effects to go with the action of the pv. these sounds are not in the album version

So I listened to Endless Sorrow and Love~Destiny~... so yeah, now I think the album versions are even more suckish than before. lol

GAME sounds so weird in PV o.O

I prefer the original ver.- of Daybreak, the mix in the pv is boring,
