Thanks for the new thread - PIERROT, yay (Koki-bias, haha).

TODAY'S LEAKS

KAT-TUN - FAR AWAY (FULL)

KAT-TUN - RIGHT NOW (FULL)

Junno's "LOVE MUSIC" & Maru's "FILM" also leaked, but i can't find YouTube links. :( maybe later on. I LOVE "FILM" OMFG. so nice. & Junno's rapping in his solo! if you want DL links i can show you the right direction...but the album's going to leak next week, anyway. XD

only song left that hasn't leaked is "ROCKIN' ALL NITE" & a full version of Ueda's "RABBIT OR WOLF?"

KarenPang 11th June 2010 09:19 AM

I never really been a fan of Tanaka's solos but gotta give respect to JOKER for being a really sweet person despite his I WANT TO EAT YOUR BRAIN image x)

oops sorry that catch phrase belongs to Venom xD

I think I'll be able to get NO MORE PAIИ next week , I really really hope so 8D

Oh I really loved that funny KAT-TUN X Harry Potter picture that was in the first post a few threads ago!! It was hilarious!!

now I understand why it's slotted after THE D-MOTION cos of the autotune

FAR AWAY - http://www.mediafire.com/?nizn3m3wdv2

aww what a sweet ballad *__* <3

so far I'm real impressed on what I have heard for NO MORE PAIИ . This's going to be another Johnny's album I definitely will enjoy this year & I appericate that J-One Records bother to spend a great deal of $ & find top notch composers/songwriters to work on KAT-TUN's albums

N.M.P. PV leaked.

They all look so gooood....mmmmh. I :heart KAT-TUN! Can't wait for the album.

KarenPang 12th June 2010 01:52 PM

ok the 1st part really scares me @_@ D: . It's like so Darth Varder inspired , the get up wise without the deep voice xD

omg the eyeliner has returned back to Kame's makeup bag LMFAO 8D ... ok this's bad now I'm liking 2 different guys whose name are both Kazuya's at the same time @_@ D: D: D:

but I really love the whole setting the NO MORE PAIN PV brings & I'm happy that J-One Records has phonked so much $ into their material/PVs

it's definitely $ well spent for sure :) & come on , I want the album to leak out now xD xD xD

Mai82Go 12th June 2010 01:56 PM

Somehow it reminds me of INSPIRE from Ayu (both MY STORY Tour and PV). And I agree, I can't wait for the album to leak.

KarenPang 12th June 2010 02:00 PM

Ueda's really cute with that butterfly sticker on his face xD

I also saw something identical on him during the Going ! PV too hehe

the NO MORE PAIN PV .. I don't know , it seems like there's some hidden meaning to it ? I don't know but the last part was a bit :O for me to handle

but ah I don't care . I'm really happy & contented on whatever stuff they have dished out this year

looks like this time round for NO MORE PAIN , they're able to work things out without Akanishi which's good

& oh yeah you spelt N.P.M instead of N.M.P in the previous post you posted lol

CeReSu 12th June 2010 02:17 PM

I listened the new album and it is really good!
Love Make u wet ~ chapter II very very much *____*

Beauty4123 14th June 2010 01:09 AM

finished listening to the album!

as far as the album tracks go, i looooooove RIGHT NOW. the intro to it is :heart the song as a whole is seriously amazing, as well! FARAWAY is pretty nice, and ROCKIN' ALL NITE is very cool! PROMISE SONG is a really nice ballad. i enjoy listening to it. but i think HELLO is my second favorite next to RIGHT NOW, lol. it's so awesome. :cool so my top 3 favorite album tracks are N.M.P., RIGHT NOW, and HELLO. :D

as far as the solo songs go, i love them all! (no really, i do!) i've even grown to love SWEET more (but still, 1582 is still better :P). LOVE MUSIC is great, especially junno's rap! i loved that part the most. ueda sings sooo fast in RABBIT OR WOLF? but i really like it, too. but i think the best solo is nakamaru's FILM. i dunno, it has a sad kind of feel to it, to me, so i really like that solo the most!! oh yea, i forgot about MAKE U WET! i admit, i'm not a big fan of koki, but his solo is really good (which album (or single?) was the original MAKE U WET on, btw? i don't remember it)

as a whole, i personally think it's much better than Break The Records. but i'd still place it second to QUEEN OF PIRATES. i'll still love that album the most. so for me, it's QUEEN OF PIRATES-NO MORE PAIN-Break the Records (i've never heard the other albums in full, lol).

but anyway, it really is a rocking album!! :cool i've also re-discovered my love for THE D-MOTION, haha. i think i'll always love that song! and Love yourself. :D

ll moments ll 14th June 2010 05:26 AM

^ the original "Make U Wet" is on their "cartoon KAT-TUN II You" album. :)

anyhow, i listened to the album while watching the Los Angeles Lakers fail of a game, so i typed out a review. I AM DEDICATED. PLZ DON'T JUDGE ME. :laugh

Spoiler:
_EIRYNNE'S 『NO MORE PAIИ』 ALBUM REVIEW!

01. N.M.P. (NO MORE PAIN): i was so surprised by this song! it is similar to a previous album opener, T∀BOO, however this song does not have the water/ocean pirate theme. and the opening strings...perfect! this song is the ultimate message of how KAT-TUN rolls. message sent! plus, epic PV. seriously, epic PV.

02. Love yourself~君が嫌いな君が好き~: i thought the switch from N.M.P. to Love yourself is a bit weird, but whatever. this song has grown so much on me from the first time i heard it. the lyrics are sweet and i guess i could relate to them. so extra points. lol.

03. FARAWAY: another pop song. but it has this, fresh & light composition. it's not an overtly JE pop song like Love yourself (& Going!) i think if KAT-TUN went a more pop route, then they should follow this direction. it is a nice album song!

04. THE D-MOTION: i love THE D-MOTION. i love my dance music, IDGAF. i jam to this, lol. i think this is their strongest song released prior to the album. i consider it an A-side, despite it not being formally regarded as one.

05. RIGHT NOW: WOW I LOVE THIS! again, dance tune. similar to THE D-MOTION, this one is in autotune, so nice transition here. we have Maru's beatbox in the beginning and some Koki!rap in here too.

06. ROCKIN' ALL NITE: hmm...i'm sort of on the fence with this song. i have a strong feeling it will be a better "concert" song (somewhat like "SHE SAID..." i love the live version over the album version). i was hoping for a more dramatic-rock song than pop-rock song, but i guess it lives up to the title. tons of energy, tons of fun. however, i think this is the weakest album track.

07. Going!: i think it says something about an album when i think a single track is considered one of the weakest tracks. Going! is not by all means horrible (i even tried liking it in the beginning, lol), but this is not a KAT-TUN song. i think NEWS or Hey! Say! JUMP should get these types of songs. KAT-TUN is FIERCE. not. SUNSHINE & RAINBOWS. i only accept sunshine & rainbows in bizarre CMs. lol.

08. SWEET: KAME ILU. WE SHOULD BE TOGETHER. I'M SURE OF IT (EVEN IF YOU LOOK PRETTIER THAN ME AT TIMES). BUT THIS IS NOT MY FAVORITE SOLO OF YOURS, LMFAO. but you know what, bb, i'll let it slide because you totally slammed everyone with "1582" in the last album. and replicated epicness live during the Break the Records tour. it's okay, get some rest.i know you're just laying low because you're a nice person and want the others to shine before you just completely destroy them again, right? YOU'RE SO SMART, BB.(sorry i am biased. i like having fun.)

09. LOVE MUSIC: JUNNO. WHAT'S HAPPENING, BRO. you kinda just slipped under my radar. i even skipped you when naming the thread. LOL.but you know what, Junno? YOU MAKE MAJIC WITH NAO. Natsu no Basho, now LOVE MUSIC? great stuff. this goes with your (limited, LOL) vocal range. this is such a "Junno" song. AND YOU'RE RAPPING!! this is a light & fun song. great job!

10. MAKE U WET ~CHAPTER 2~: this is hot. OMG. i love Koki solos. they are so fierce and aggressive. i love my tough & sexy! Koki. when i heard you were making another "Make U Wet"...well, you made me wet. AHAHA.i like how it's not similar musically to CHAPTER 1. this one is more smooth sexy. with some arabian influence. HOOOOT.

11. RABBIT OR WOLF?: it has the same similar "atmosphere" like "Hana no mau Machi" but i think this solo is tons better. i think his strongest solo is "Ai no Hana" (because it is epic) but this is another strong solo from Ueda. i think he is a really talented musician. he is very consistent.

12. FILM: MARU. WHY ARE YOU MAKING ME LOVE YOU. i remember not even paying attention to you when i first got into this group. how times have changed. you're such a little sweetheart. this song definitely has the Maru touch to it. this is such a nice & upbeat little pop song. there's some subtle dance elements in the song too. love all around, Maru!

13. PROMISE SONG: all albums need that ballad, lol. i actually think this one is nice. it reminds me of NEIRO mixed in with some PRECIOUS ONE.

14. HELLO: this is this album's SIX SENSES. i loooove it! i think SIX SENSES packs more punch, but this is awesome nevertheless.i really think KAT-TUN should do more songs like this. come onnn. they do this style so well! or something similar to ONE ON ONE.

_CONCLUDING THOUGHTS: all the fears i had for this group has been completely destroyed. i thought with Jin out of the picture, it would be a very sugary pop route, or somewhat similar to what happened during during his last hiatus. but nope. these 5 guys have proved that they can work without him. it's a better effort than the last 5 member album, cartoon KAT-TUN II You. i even think it ranks high along with QUEEN OF PIRATES and Break the Records in terms of original albums. NO MORE PAIИ has traces of those 2 albums, but not completely copying them. (there's more dance elements in this album than previous ones!)

there were times were i felt like Jin didn't need to be in this album! "RIGHT NOW"...perfect without him! i was very impressed and there were times where i was like, "omg this sounds like Jin!" but it was either Kame or Ueda or whoever. again, i think this shows growth with the others filling in a big spot.

that said, i still love Jin. integral part of KAT-TUN and even though he is douche-bag, i'm supporting him by going to his concert on Saturday. LMAO.

I don't judge you! I find your review a very interesting read, and I like your points. I haven't listened to the complete album yet, since it's not yet released, but I'm looking forward to it and I will read your review again then. I'm happy that I'm not the only one who loves Kokis solos. I have a feeling they're getting better and wetter :lech. I also agree on Jin, I'm happy that KAT-TUN are able to do it without him, but I also like that Koki included the A in the KAT-TUN rap in N.M.P. And I'm really looking forward to read your review of Jin in Concert (you will write one for us, right?) because even though I find him irritating, his music is great and I really respect him for doing what he wants, not a lot of people have a strong characters that works against the "group mentality" of Japan in general.

Couldn't really wait and listened to it. I kind of like it and on the other hand I don't. It's a fifty/fifty album for me to be honest. Great Tracks like N.M.P. make it really cool but things like Going! turn me off. My favourite is the title track - N.M.P. just rules. And the Koki solo Make you wet Chapter 2. Overall a solid effort, but maybe released a little too early? It was announced and then released. For me Break the Records and especially Queen of Pirates were better. I like it better than their debut and second album though. Don't really miss Jins voice. There is no song where I would say, oh that would've sounded better with Jin. Which is good. I think it was basically made to have songs without Jins voice so that they could sing them on tour, without the others having their voices constantly compared to Jins.

ll moments ll 15th June 2010 12:17 AM

^ of course! you guys can expect concert write-up for sure! :D i'll try to be coherent, even though i'll probably be shaking and having a mental breakdown because i'm in the presence of Jin Akanishi. :lmfao i'm not sure if they're allowing cameras (i'm thinking no, since this is like, JE, we're talking about...) but if they do, i'll definitely get some pics! (they can't confiscate cell phones, lololol.)

i still can't believe my friend has 1st row seats...UGHHH RAGING WITH JEALOUSY BUT I LOVE HER, ahaha. i'm stuck in the back, but it's a small venue.

upon further listens, i think the weakest section of the album is ROCKIN' ALL NITE - Going! - SWEET section. but otherwise, i can listen to the rest perfectly fine without trouble. i do think now that Break the Records & QUEEN OF PIRATES are stronger albums, but those 2 along with NMP are much better than their first 2 by a landslide. :)

(they can't confiscate cell phones, lololol.)

i still can't believe my friend has 1st row seats...UGHHH RAGING WITH JEALOUSY BUT I LOVE HER, ahaha. i'm stuck in the back, but it's a small venue.

I'm looking forward to your report. Can't believe it's almost happening already. I'm so curious how it'll play out. You have to tell all the details. I love reading concert reports. I'm sad that people here don't really post them that much. But on the other hand other than devilayu, I think nobody on AHS ever went to a KAT-TUN concert and I think this year there weren't that many that went to Japan for a concert because they wouldn't want to see it it without Jin.

For No More Pain (the album) I actually find Sweet not that bad. I think it is a sweet song and that is exactly the intention. It's not that catchy but it's not like I want to turn it off immediately. (Like it is the case with most Junno solo songs for me. I hate to admit it but I'm actually no fan of Junnos voice, no matter how nice a person he might be)

Is that good or not? Seems not so good? But then albums never sold that well, but for just one day, the number doesn't seem to be bad.

Nackar_91 16th June 2010 09:44 PM

I'm not sure of their previous first days ... it's just that their sales drop very quickly so I don't know what to think of this. As long as they sell over 200k I'll be happy though!

ll moments ll 17th June 2010 12:56 AM

here's QOP & BtR's first days from kattunlove @ LJ:

Queen of Pirates 1st day sales: 115,167
Break the Records - by you & for you- 1st day sales: 89,677

i didn't expect them to come up with the same numbers, but it's pretty decent...i think? my prediction will be 140-150k first week! :P

Mai82Go 17th June 2010 07:57 AM

^Yep, I didn't think they would get these numbers and as sales are declining anyway it, it was kind of expected so I don't see it as a flop. :)

What happened to your N.M.P. Set? :( Though the new set is nice as well. Whose arm and hands are that on Kame?

But isn't Kame's shirt a different colour? And he must be quite flexible to have his arms like that. :tired So that one arm on his right cannot really be his arm.

@Mai82Pro haha, i just felt like making my own set since it's summer vacation & i'm bored. :laugh i really wish i could make .gifs tho, lol. i took some from LJ for my previous "set". :P btw, it's Koki's hand on Kame's chin. and Maru's arm on his shoulder. here's the original picture :)

good sales! :D

*lol*, it's Mai82Go. :) I suspected it to be Koki's hand and Maru's arm. Man, I'm kind of obsessed if I recognize the KAT-TUN Members by their body parts. haha. Do you work with Photoshop? CS3? Then GIF making is actually a piece of cake. But I like your new set.

Sales are good. I think nobody really expected their sales to increase.

Wow, you must be really excited. Can't believe it's happening already. I'm also curious if Jin will return to Japan after the Concerts are over. I doubt that he'll join KAT-TUN's tour though, especially now that they have so many songs that are done without him.

just came back like an hour & a half ago. :P i'm still typing out everything and i need to see a setlist because i forgot the order already...haha. but i think it's the same setlist for his Japanese shows!

some quick bits to tide over before i post my report:
- it was definitely more of a music & dance show, than a concert. there were some theatrical elements, but mixed in with dance elements, of course.
- JIN LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE HE DOES IN PICTURES, HOLY SHHHHH-
- Jin still needs to work on his English, LOLOLOL.
- show lasted from like 6:15pm to 9:00pm. only 1 intermission.

i just...can't believe i saw him. i'm really tired though. Los Angeles is an awesome city, especially Downtown LA where i saw him, BUT IT IS A BEAST. :laugh

here it is!

『友&仁』 ロサンゼルスのコンサート 2010年06月19日
『You&Jin』 Los Angeles Concert June 19th, 2010

Spoiler:
okay where to begin. lol.

the venue itself, CLUB NOKIA, is located in the heart of Los Angeles city. it is a really beautiful area! not only are there concert venues, but it's also where my WORLD CHAMPION LOS ANGELES LAKERS play (sorry, i'm a huge Lakers fan!) so, there are three concert venues, and the CLUB NOKIA is the smallest and the most intimate one. i kinda had a hard time locating it because it was on the 3rd floor of the building. the whole area is new and renovated, so the venue was just really nice. i was impressed that the show was booked there. (Johnny, you did good!)

i was also impressed with the amount of Japanese people there. most of them came from Japan to Los Angeles! lots of Japanese housewives too. LOL. there were only a few guys. it was 86.7% girls. XD

the show started @ 6:15 or around that time. it was 2 MCs first, Boogie & Juice, or whatever their names were...they tried to pump up the audience and there were some mini, very short opening numbers.

i'm not sure if most people know who Joey Tee is...you have to be an old JE fan like me to remember him. he was a Johnny's Jr. back in the day. well, he did some dance moves for us. he's grown up! he's like 16 now. he does all these modern, isolation, body bending dance moves. it was pretty impressive, imo. i guess like Jin, he's into hip-hop.

the next opening number was a dance team. they were named the "Strikers All-Stars". i'm not sure if any of you guys watch ABDC (America's Best Dance Crew), but they were performing for Jin. i was so impressed & shocked! they did this routine for us: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OymoBI491LE (but extended!)

the next dude was like some guy named DOMINIC. he wrote some songs with Jin, so he sang 2 songs for us. ehh, he was OK, i guess. lol.

the pre-show also showed 2 video clips with Jin in them. the first one was him outside the venue being cute. he was walking around the area and pointed to restaurants & stuff. (one of them was "Katsuya", a famous Japanese restaurant in the area, lol) the second clip was the dance auditions and some solo dance lessons. "WE'RE LOOKING FOR 6 DANCERS" lol.

HERE WE GO, IT'S JIN TIME!
okay, i like stole the list from kattunlove, ahahaha.

Christmas Morning: Jin was wearing a white jacket, his hair was tied up, and he had on his big aviator sunglasses. it was all very robotic-like at first. Jin was in the middle with the dancers in gold sequined outfits. he was playing numerous instruments: drums, synths, & a guitar. it was completely in autotune and his voice was SO HIGH. throughout the whole song. it was like a bittersweet love song, from what i read on the screens. they showed the lyrics. but it was interesting, to say at least.

Bass Go Boom: i think this one is a new song specifically for the Los Angeles shows. from what i remember it was a hip-hop song. LOL. memory fail.

WONDER (feat. Crystal Kay): i screamed! i wasn't expecting to hear this! in the background, they showed the PV on the screens. if you saw the Break the Records DVD, they TOTALLY blocked out the PV that was playing in the background. however, if you saw the fancams, you could see it. so, i was glad to see it on the screens in the venue. CK & Jin were dancing together, haha.

I.N.P.: INTER. NATIONAL. PARTY. can you guess this was a dance song? it had this really funny hand-motion to go with it they showed in the screens. but it was a fun song. everyone was dancing & grooving!

Adjust the Love: this one was a bit more serious lyrically. it had some trademark high notes, but not as intense as Christmas Morning. i think the screens had a "peace" or "world" theme to them.

A PAGE: YOU & I~ YOU & I~ everyone was screaming when he started singing this song.

LOVEJUICE: OKAY. EVERYONE WAS SCREAMING AND JUMPING WHEN WE HEARD THE BASS IN THE BEGINNING. he did the dance routine similar to the QOP tour. he was wearing a black fedora, black dress shirt with a white tie, and jeans for this one.

*dance segment*

Paparats: this is the song that completely floored me. it was SO AWESOME. it wasn't hip-hop or dance, it was a pure rock song. and it was one of few that didn't have autotune, lol. it was just a powerful performance and even though the lyrics look plain as hell on paper, you can definitely tell Jin does not like how the media treats him at home.

Hey girl: omg, this song was just one big LOL. the lyrics were just playful (...such a total playboy song!), it was campy, & wow, Nishikido Ryo wrote the music to this. HAHAHA. those two.

before the intermission, he went to the bar downstairs and got some drinks for himself & his dancers. :laugh they filmed him drinking & stuff!

-intermission- (aka my bathroom break, LOL)

*dance segment*: OK. i'm actually going to comment on this dance segment, because after the intermission, the show was a dance-off for a really, really long section of the show. it wasn't boring though. tons & tons of different dance moves. pop dance, locking, tricks, and a lot of his dancers had solos during this section. there was also this screen dance, where Jin & another dancer were wearing these white suits and these lights were like making images on these suits. it was really awesome.

if you don't know me, i make fun of Jin being an "American Wannabe" BUT. he actually included a Japanese inspired routine here. all the dancers had kimonos at one point and there were some panels with traditional Japanese clothing that were brung out. he also had a mask on for one part of it. it looked like the mask Kame wore in his 1582 performance during Break the Records Tour. he also did this red cloth section with a lot of illusions too. i really liked this section of the show. i haven't seen this type of performance before! it was really interesting.

oh yeah! there was another dancer from America's Best Dance Crew working for Jin too. she was from Beat Freaks (an all-female crew). BGirl Shorty! (the one with the red hair!)

Yellow Gold: I LOVED THE MUSIC to this song. it was soooo hot! it's a dance/hip-hop song, but it was very, very distinctive from his other ones. i think the lyrics are pretty eh, but goooood lord, HOOOOT.

My MP3: this was a really, fun dance song. the screen in the back was pretty awesome for this segment too. lots & lots of colors and dancing.

Tipsy Love: i bet 2 cents he wrote this when he was drunk or something. LOL. there was a short break before this song, so they could bring out the big inflatable globe prop. this song had an island/reggae vibe to it, but it was just a fun, cheesy little number. i was waving my hands everywhere, lol.

after the song, he named all the dancers and hugged every single one of them. lol. he was screaming their names and was just...cute! haha. he thanked us all and told us he loves us. :P

there was no encore, sadly. but all in all, it was a fun show. it's usually something i wouldn't normally see! i was very impressed with all the dance segments. JIN CAN MOVE. wow. he is exactly how he looks like in pictures. like i was sure all the photoshop or whatever would hide all his flaws, but he looks...like Jin! ahaha. i wanted him to speak more English, but you could tell he was a bit nervous. but after some drinks & stuff, he became calm and a party animal! lol. i still think he needs to work on pronunciation. there's still that Japanese accent when he speaks.

it was a good almost 3 hour show. the venue for the most part was full and it seemed like everyone was having a good time! it was my first time going to a rather "Japanese" concert. so it was full of clapping and waving. i usually jump and scream (like i did for Lady Gaga) and sing loudly. but it was a smaller venue, so i guess it's understandable.

all these Japanese ladies dress so girly & cute. i was like in another dimension in the stand-by. i couldn't get good pictures, unfortunately because security kept hounding us for cameras and my phone's camera SUCKS SO BAD. D:

so yeah, that was my day. gonna SLEEEEEP. lol.

Beauty4123 20th June 2010 06:40 PM

wow, that seriously sounds like one hell of a show! :laugh i've never heard of the songs he sang, though (besides for A Page, WONDER, and LOVEJUICE) i don't keep up with jin's solo music, lol. but after reading your review, irene, everything sounded really fun! i'm glad you were able to experience that concert! :D

btw, i also recognize those dance crews from ABDC, haha. i'm surprised they were also there! very cool :cool glad you had fun!

labello 20th June 2010 07:25 PM

OMG the concert sounds like soo much fun:yes
Super stupid question but I don't know anything about Jin's music:
Is there a studio version of the songs from the concert apart from LOVEJUICE?

Mai82Go 20th June 2010 09:34 PM

^I'm not an expert when it comes to Jin's music, but A Page was a track on Love yourself/D-Motion (KAT-TUN single) and I think Wonder feat. CK was released somewhere, too. Don't know for sure, though.

Thanks ll moments ll for the concert report, it was an interesting read. What I find pretty interesting is that most reports I read so far are not exactly overly enthusiastic about the whole show. Most people don't seem to think they had the time of their lives there. They think it was good, but not OMG/wow worthy. Mmmh, there are also rumors that Jin will tour the U.S.. I wonder if that's true. And if it makes sense if the audience was mainly japanese. Another thing to consider, should he really aim for a career there.

Beauty4123 20th June 2010 11:36 PM

oh wow! i just read that jin's next stops on his tour are New York, Chicago, Houston, San Francisco, Anaheim, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.

i didn't think he was coming here too! :P sorry if this piece of news was already posted before! just found it now :) he's getting around, alright, lol.

ll moments ll 21st June 2010 02:51 AM

DAMN IT. he's going to perform in ANAHEIM. do you know how close i live to ANAHEIM?! honestly, a good 25 minutes. what. the. hell. it took me an hour and a half to reach Los Angeles. :tired

@Mai82Go: i read a couple fan reports myself & i think the criticism is justified. this was a show that i haven't seen before. for example, it was the first time i had an intermission. (but i needed it because i drank a whole water bottle before the show. D: LOL!) there wasn't an MC section or much fan interaction other than the part where he went to the General Admissions bar and got drinks with his dancers and at the end of the concert where everything ended.

and i must admit that the whole drinking/partying/checking out girls or boys/hip-hop thing isn't my "style" at all. and he needs to work more on English (some lyrics were weak or like...lame, i must say). and i think a lot more people would have been satisfied if he sang some Japanese or more recognizable solos since not a lot of people have heard these songs before. and the concert itself was a "Americanized" Japanese show. i don't think it would translate well to an American audience if you don't know who Jin Akanishi was.

however, i enjoyed myself. it wasn't the best concert i've ever been to (i think that would be Lady Gaga, lol), but i treated it as a once in a lifetime opportunity, really. i mean, i had to jump at this...i might never see a KAT-TUN member in my life, so i really wanted to at least have fun and enjoy what Jin had to offer. i was more impressed by the dancing than the actual songs themselves, i would say. Jin is a great dancer. the dance section of the show after the intermission is easily the best part of my experience with You & Jin.

the thing i have with Jin's music. the music was incredible (Yellow Gold needs to be released!!!!), but the lyrics were the weak point, i would think (...yeah, Yellow Gold needs some Japanese lyrics, lol). he just does not have the fluency of English to really create a good lyrical number, in my opinion. the lyrics themselves were simple. or about what he does best: partying. i really think he needs to balance the English/Japanese lyrics. my favorite Jin solo is "Murasaki". heh.

so yeah, i wouldn't say it was the best, but i really did have fun. it was just a dream of mine to see a Johnny's member in concert. of course, i'd prefer a KAT-TUN concert 100%, but i took what's given to me. Jin has always been a polarizing Johnny, but i've always respected the fact he does something different than the norm, so i can understand if people didn't have an OMG! time.

wow, that was long, sorry. XD

Don't feel sorry. The stuff you wrote there seems to be exactly what others are thinking, too. The whole Jin drama doesn't really affect me that much anymore, since I decided I don't care. It is not that hard to predict that he will not have a big career in the West/US. I'm not even sure if that is what he wants. But people in the west, like us, probably are not interested in japanese artists because they are clones of the ones we have here. What sets them apart is that they are different. And I think Lyrics are important, having japanese songs is important. Otherwise it'll all become pretty shallow soon, if you say that his themes are generally party and drinking, I doubt that this will keep people interested for a longer time. For me personally even though english isn't my first language I understand it pretty well and if the lyrics are stupid....sometimes I also feel embarassed by Koki's english lyrics. Usually I pretend it's not english but some imaginary language he invented. :innocent And I think japanese is a beautiful language with a nice sound, so I really like hearing it. I cannot understand why he doesn't use that language more.

On the other hand I also enjoy grand stages, special effects. I hate that cold thing Jin has going. Even if that's him, I don't care for it at all. I doubt a Jin Akanishi concert would satisfy me. I would definitely prefer a KAT-TUN concert, too.

ll moments ll 22nd June 2010 12:58 AM

^ i think if Jin wants to pursue a career out here, oh boy, i will be his biggest critic. i think going to "You & Jin" made me realize how really different the Japanese & American music scenes are in real life. i think its fine the way he's doing it as a Japanese person coming here to perform in front of fans, but if he wants to legit break into the US market, i'm pretty positive he won't make it. i too, would want Jin to use Japanese more. i mean, i give him a whole lot of credit for using English, but he communicates a point so much better in Japanese.

i'm totally for East Asian presence in the US market, but they would have to realize the theatrics and the show-off idol thing will just not work here. you can have a style, but it has to be something original or innovative AND it will have to connect with a large base. (which is also why i don't think K-Pop artists will ever make it big here!)

& LOL. yeah, there are time where i'm just like, "KOKI SING/RAP IN JAPANESE, PLEASE!!" but since he's targeting the Japanese base & they really don't understand English well....so, i let it slide a bit. :laugh

Hmm ... they might have issues reaching 200k because of their quickly dropping sales. Still, the sales are okay. This does mean they're now one of Johnny's worst selling album groups.

At least their singles still kick-ass! Plus their music is awesome of course XD Sales aren't everything, I just love talking about it.

ll moments ll 22nd June 2010 11:05 PM

i think upcoming weeks will determine if the album will stay in the long run. i think the BIG WORLD TOUR hasn't started yet, so hopefully it will have some staying power. but i don't think the sales are bad. it might be in comparison to their other albums, but yeah, most JE groups albums don't sell much. ^^;;

I'm not sure about album sales, but I doubt that they are on the bad selling spectrum when you look at Johnnys sales. Album sales are never that good for them, the album lacks Akanishi (Who brings probably half of their fan-base) and of course sales in general have taken an all new low point this year. They will never reach Arashis sales that's true, but for all other Johnny's bands they are not that bad.

Kinki Kids sold 170.000 of their J-Album last year.
V6 sold 80.000 with their Ready? album this year.
How much will HSJ sell next month? I doubt they will sell much better than KAT-TUN and if they will it'll be because it is their debut album.
NEWS and Arashi released their last original album 2 years ago as did SMAP so these sales cannot be compared. (And Arashi are another level altogether anyway)
Kanjani8's last album was also released last year when sales were better.

I don't think they are doing bad. I'm actually happy that KAT-TUN release so many albums compared to other Johnnys. More KAT-TUN music for us (and I prefer KAT-TUN music over any other Johnnys group)

I guess you're right. Though you can be certain Arashi will sell more, considering the fact that they're simple at a whole different level. By the way, J Album sold 170k in its first week, it reached 210 in total ^^.

I guess my point was that their sales seem to be dropping the fastest of all their acts. Kinki Kids have had slowly diminishing sales over the past few years, same for SMAP, same for V6, same for tokio. I guess I was just kinda shocked by how much of a phenomenon they were back in 2005/2006 and that right now they're "just" very succesful.

Sorry if that sounded stupid XD. Go KAT-TUN!

Ueda seems really dedicated. Creating a whole new show. For example the Hiroshima concert is shortly after KAT-TUN are in Taiwan. Sooo..if Ueda is able to do this, why couldn't Jin? Seems just lazy to me, from his side.

ll moments ll 27th June 2010 02:17 AM

^ well, i think going to Japan from Taiwan wouldn't be as hard as going from Japan from the USA. flights from Los Angeles to East Asia can take 10 to 15 hours. it takes 6 hours going coast to coast (California to New York). and if he travels from the States to East Asia, he loses days due to the time difference.

wow, Ueda's going to be ultra busy! but i'm sure he'll put on a good show. i'm glad FiVe is touring with him too. i really liked them during the QOP con.

Mai82Go 27th June 2010 08:11 AM

But they've been touring since May. I think the reason is probably that they have an album without him and the whole show is concepted without him. I don't think flying to LA and back to Tokyo are the real obstacles. It was decided in the beginning that he wouldn't be there, because he doesn't want to. I'm really curious if he'll be back by the end of the year.

KAT-TUN's starting their WORLD BIG TOUR promo by performing in Korea tomorrow (July 1st)! :) they will be performing at MNET M Countdown. i'm not familiar with K-pop shows, but i think this one is a main one, yeah?

i believe they are doing promotion for their concert (& album) in Seoul, so they are performing on Korean TV! i think there's some sort of fan contest or something for the international venues too, but i'm not sure if it's the same as the ones for their Japan one.

Attention european Fans. I just got a mail from NeoTokyo, which is an German Music/Concert Tickets/Stuff from Japan Store. They are doing a survey about who the fans want to perform next in Europe. Click here....

You can choose your number 1, 2 and 3. KAT-TUN are among the choices! I voted for them in second place, cause, let's face it Ayu has the top spot. If you're a fan of Arashi or Koda Kumi you can also vote for them. This might be THE chance to get these artist to perform in Europe, because NT is a real store and they probably helped Gackt coming to Europe. It is a real opportunity and not just a fan survey.

New face model is Tanaka Koki’s cousin

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/x...0706_airi2.jpg

New model, Tsukamoto Airi will debut through magazine “EDGE STYLE”, which will be published on July 7th. Airi was scouted while she was working at an apparel shop, and was later discovered to be the cousin of KAT-TUN member, Tanaka Koki.

She talked about Koki, “We used to climb trees together. Koki and I are still close to each other, and he invites me to KAT-TUN concerts every year.”

Airi also said, “My mother was the one who told Koki to apply for Johnny’s Entertainment. When I met him last year, he said, ‘How old are you now? I thought you were still a little kid, but you sure did grow up.’”

Koki encouraged Airi to debut as a model. Airi’s goal as a model is to be like Yoshikawa Hinano or Rinka she says

cool & she's so pretty too & I kinda can see some resemblances to Tanaka if you put Airi & him together xD

From what I've seen, Japanese magazines are labeled for the next month, or even further XD.

When I was in Japan in July last year I saw magazines labeled for August or even September XD

KarenPang 9th July 2010 10:24 AM

yeah it's like you're ahead of the future in 2 months time aha xD

I don't have anything like that here since most local magazines when they're published , it's mainly for weekly circulation

usually for monthly circulation , I wouldn't see the new issue for next month til mid of the month

early , I very seldom see it

ll moments ll 9th July 2010 10:42 AM

i read that yesterday. she's pretty!

i think i like the Tanaka clan. they seem like a cool family. i wonder if Juri will debut in JE too. :)

KarenPang 9th July 2010 10:49 AM

Tanaka's brother is cute , I think I seen Juri before on MUSIC STATION . He's in Hop Step Jump I think *memory failing

but at least Tanaka's not the only talented person in his family which's good

i know KAT-TUN just released an album, but is it possible for one more single to be released at the end of this year? or will they wait until next year? hopefully jin will be back by then. i just prefer a whole group to be together even if they made good music on NMP without jin, lol.

Mai82Go 11th July 2010 11:06 PM

I don't want him to come back if he still keeps on acting like he's better than KT-TUN.

No, actually I don't care if he comes back or not. I'm fine either way.

I don't know it's hard to say because it really depends on a lot of circumstances

of course I want the whole group to release something before the year ends but it's not for me to say/command that oh they should just because I want them to lol

Well, Break the Records sold 240k which is practically platinum and I've seen albums being certified platinum that have barely sold over 200k so I'm assuming it was.

ll moments ll 13th July 2010 06:46 AM

i think they will release a single Fall/Winter based on previous release patterns (though they didn't have one last year). but i think they will release one when Jin comes back (i think he will come back) because if they release one as KT-TUN, it will fuel a lot of rumors of Jin not returning when it's still uncertain/up in the air. (but if he doesn't come back...well, i'm fine with it also, really.)

& i swear i don't want anymore drama. please. it made me focus my stanning elsewhere. like sports. :laugh

KarenPang 13th July 2010 06:50 AM

well this should take things away on whether will it be KAT-TUN or KT-TUN before the year ends

Jin says he will come back after touring, but a lot of the fandom/tabloids say he won't. but i'm pretty sure he will. he kept his word the last time around, so i'm not too worried about it. but there's always a possibility that he could change his mind, but until i see it...:P

but srsly LOL @ Jin. it's nice to see some BakaJin in him after all.

Mai82Go 16th July 2010 10:45 PM

KT-TUN now officially said they won't break up. On the other hand they have no idea what Jin is up to (and don't seem to care)....

Look here at KAT-TUN love.

by the way for all the horse-cover-lovers: KAT-TUN were on horses for their last concert in Tokyo Dome. Yes, real horses. ;)

ll moments ll 17th July 2010 01:00 AM

waiting for official confirmation, but it seems like it won't be until September/October-ish.

i will say i was very betrayed when Jin Akanishi left the first time around. i honestly didn't want him to come back and it took me a long time to appreciate him again. but Jin's always been honest when it comes to what he wants to do and it's always difficult as a fan to back up his decisions sometimes because the timing's always been off. i had fun at his Los Angeles concert and i wouldn't regret going to it if he decides to leave. however, let it be known if he decides a career here in the States, i would not be a blind fan with open arms. he will need to work very hard. very hard. he can't come here & expect the fame he's achieved with KAT-TUN in Japan. sorry, bb Jin, you'll have to impress me.

i'm just sad that the news overtook KT-TUN's start of their world tour. i don't think it's fair to them when they're stepping out to the world stage. :( that said, the tour looks great and i hope more clips come out...

Akanishi Jin withdraws from KAT-TUN?

KAT-TUN just started their tour “KAT-TUN LIVE TOUR 2010 WORLD BIG TOUR” at the Tokyo Dome on the 16th, without Akanishi Jin. The president of Johnny’s Entartainment, Johnny Kitagawa showed up at the concert and talked about Jin. According to Kitagawa, there are plans for Jin to perform as a solo artist in the U.S next year, so there is no plan for Jin to go back to KAT-TUN for now.

However, the final decision on Jin’s official withdrawal from KAT-TUN will be made after his tour in the U.S. this fall.

Kitagawa said, “I’m only thinking about Jin’s success in the U.S. It’s not good if I spoil him by telling him ‘come back to KAT-TUN if you fail in the U.S.’ All I can do for him is to support whatever he wants to do in the U.S.”

Kitagawa also stated that there is no need to worry about KAT-TUN’s disbandment.

http://www.tokyohive.com/featured/ak...-from-kat-tun/

Johnny to remove Akanishi from KAT-TUN

KAT-TUN's Jin Akanishi (26) will officially graduate from the group later this year, it has been announced. KAT-TUN held a concert at the Tokyo Dome on Friday night, and Johnny's Jimusho president Johnny Kitagawa spoke to the press there on the same day. He said that the final decision will be made after Akanishi's U.S. tour this fall, but at this point it appears to already be guaranteed.

Since May, Akanishi has been in the United States, working on his solo career. He performed concerts in Los Angeles in June, and he has scheduled a 7-city tour for September and October. Kitagawa also revealed that Akanishi is already planning further concerts for 2011. Meanwhile, KAT-TUN has been continuing as a 5-member group, just as they did when Akanishi temporarily left in 2006 to study abroad.

Kitagawa explained that right now, the focus is only on Akanishi becoming successful in the U.S. He said that it would be too soft on Akanishi to let him return to KAT-TUN as a fallback if he doesn't succeed. It would also be unforgivable to KAT-TUN fans to have Akanishi dragging the group on, or returning the same way he did in 2007.

Kitagawa once again assured fans that KAT-TUN is not breaking up. Although the group's name is based on the initial characters of the members' names, it is said that Akanishi's "A" will be replaced by extending Kazuya Kamenashi's "K" to "KA."

There are no plans to bring in a new member, as Kitagawa stated that there is no need to have six people in the group. He said that the five remaining members are currently doing fine without Akanishi.

Beauty4123 17th July 2010 04:25 AM

i'm not that big of a KAT-TUN fan, but it really hits me that jin will actually leave. i admit, he's not my most favorite member (that's kame...:innocent) but it's kinda sad to see things turn out like this, although jin seems to be happy in the US so whatever makes him happy i suppose :yes

i'm sure the guys must be affected in someway by this, though. i can't believe they just don't care that a member (who's been with them since day one) is leaving. :shrug

KarenPang 17th July 2010 04:37 AM

it's always unfortunate when something like this will happen within a group . I guess it's natural for spats & differences in opinions to occur

then again even twins will have different sets of opinions/personalities too

to me , I'm netural whether Akanishi will leave the group or not as he's not my fave member in the group (it's actually Ueda & Kame xD) .

Obviously people like Eirynne who likes him a great deal are going to feel this much more than me & I can imagine how much backlash Akanishi is going to get should this decision becomes a reality

From the way I see things at the moment , things are hanging over in mid way but regardless of which , I hope this wouldn't stop the guys from continuing to release music

ll moments ll 17th July 2010 06:47 AM

yeah...i'm not going to comment further. i just need a clear, cut notice from Johnny's Entertainment after Jin is done touring the USA about the future of the guys.

i can't get too drawn into what the media thinks. i mean, after i saw "Paparats," i really don't know...

:(
