I guess (and hope) that every single she releases from now on, will account for at least 1 more week :) so yeah, she'll probably break Matsuda's. Not sure about the rest since B'z are still releasing, and I don't even know who or what Pink Lady is.

I dont know either. they only have 9 #1 singles but can gather 63 weeks #1.

the chance for ayu getting number one position is still possible, it will take a long way...but it's possible...if she release 3 singles per year, i think she can get number one position after 5 years...

One of the most famous Japanese groups of all time. :) They were huge in the 70s and to this day everyone in Japan still sings their big hits. They actually even had a top 40 billboard hit in America as well as a TV variety show on NBC.

Pink Lady have a ridiculously awesome weeks-to-singles ratio, don't they? Took B'z almost 5 times as many singles to even approach the number of weeks that Pink Lady were on top. That's nuts! O_O!!

LOL @ the who is Pink Lady comments. They were pretty much what defines most J-pop idols, look them up when you get a chance. ;) (that reminds me that I've been meaning to get their latest GH album lol)
