Tong Vfang Xien Qi (東方神起; Rising Gods of the East) (also known as Dong Bang Shin Ki (동방신기) in Korea and Tohoshinki (東方神起) in Japan, or by the acronyms TVXQ, DBSK, TVfXQ) is a K-Pop/J-Pop five-member male group from Korea. Their name translates as "The Rising Gods of the East".
They debuted in Korea in January, 2004 under SM Entertainment label with the single "Hug", and in April, 2005 in Japan under rhythm zone label with the single "Stay With Me Tonight". In 2009 legal disputes have arisen with SM Entertainment that leaves the future of the group in Korea uncertain. One year later, in April 2010, avex stated through a press release that their activities in Japan were also put in hold or suspended.

TVXQ’s Changmin and Yunho preparing for official comeback next month
TVXQ’s Changmin and Yunho are preparing for a comeback! It’s been reported that they’ve completed recording the songs for their newest single, and are rehearsing the choreography. The representative also revealed that the single is due for release by the middle of next month.

The two will deliver their activities as a duet, having already performed “Maximum” together on August 21st. Unlike JYJ, who are currently opting to promote as a trio on their own, the representative stated that Changmin and Yunho will most likely perform under the name of TVXQ.

Their Japanese agency, Avex, has also announced that it is would be possible for the duo to return to the Japanese market as well.

Regarding their fans’ increasing concerns over the clearer 3:2 divide, a representative revealed, “The friendship between the five has never changed. They may be walking separate paths, but now is the time that they need their fans’ support more than ever.”

LOL, my theory only got confirmed by this though. My theory was that Avex dropped JYJ because of SM's pressure and not because of CJeS and the maffia ties of the CEO. They were just using that as an excuse to drop JYJ and to get SM satisfied.
True, SM owns the name, but that doesn't mean they have to use it. They didn't use it at SM Town either.

It seems all that excitement worked for nothing... Comeback has not been decided yet according to SME.

[TRANS] 101018 TVXQ Trio 「JYJ」 To Have A 100,000 People Large-scale Concert

Over the course of 2 days on 27 and 28 November, the group「JYJ」, formed by TVXQ members Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu, will hold 2 live concerts for their「JYJ Worldwide Concert in Seoul」in the Seoul Olympic Main Stadium of the Jamsil Sports Complex. The approximate scale of the two concerts is 100,000.

What is noteworthy about this concert is that it will be under the direction of Jeri Slaughter, who has directed concerts for world famous pop artists like Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera and more.

Slaughter said, "The Seoul showcase the other day is just the beginning. This concert will be the start of JYJ's global expansion, so the performances shown will blow away audiences around the world."

18 songs will be performed during this concert, including self-composed songs by the members, which will be released for the first time. In particular, a special colour laser equipment called "Phenom" will be used, a real time digital gesture recognition video technology, and a fantastic stage is expected to unfold.

Advance booking for the「JYJ Worldwide Concert in Seoul」begins on 19 October, from 6PM onwards, on the internet shopping site "Interpark".

I'm surprised nobody has posted this yet, though I'm sure you all know by now they've canceled the San Fran and Seattle tour stops in favor of Las Vegas and Hawaii, and moved the LA venue to the Galen. Apologies to everyone who wanted to go to these shows! Even though I had a feeling something like this might happen, it still doesn't make it right.

Now I'm really concerned for the US stops. We're still waiting on the NY ticket info and the show's less than a month from now. My friend's been calling the Hammerstein almost daily and they said there's still no concert scheduled on that date. Don't they have to like, let the venue know at least a few months in advance?

I said this before, but it's also not fair to those who are waiting on prices to get tickets. If they sell them any later than now, they'll be gone before we know it, which sucks for people that have been waiting since the announcement to go.

I'm REALLY not liking JYJ's staff now. First, they give us misinformation about who to contact about tickets, then have a "fan coordinator" send out info to all the fan sites instead of updating the official site. Next, they cancel the photo sessions with fans in Singapore, and now two US stops, with still no word on when ANY US tickets will be sold. Totally unprofessional, imo.

Actually your post is the first time I heard of them foregoing the Seattle and San Fran stops and going for LV and Hawaii. Though it doesn't affect me either way since none of their stops are close to where I live ;_;. I really hope for your sake though the staff and ticket coordinators figure their stuff out so you can see them live.

Dear Fans,

First of all we would like to start this mail with an apology to the change in US stops and all prior travel arrangements made to former locations.

We decided to replace two stops on the original schedule as:

1. It is too punishing on the members physically and mentally to do the back to back gigs and specifically for the US leg, we are taking into consideration possible jet lag.

2. The change was made in lieu of tremendous feedback received from Japanese fans who have asked if we could put one stop in Hawaii for them since Japan was not included in this tour.

3. We wanted to make sure that all JYJ fans will be able to get a ticket to the showcases and hence we told promoters that we need a minimum of a 5000 pax venue for each stop. Due to constraints at the former locations, this can only be accomplished with the new tour stops added. (with the exception of NYC which needed to be locked in as press activities for the stop has been confirmed).

We apologize once again for the incoveniences caused and ask for your understanding. It is the best solution we can come up with to meet expectations on every level.

Thank you.
