If she comes to FNS, well that will be one big surprise, but I don't think that will happen... If Ayu comes back to FNS next year, maybe Fuji TV might have a bit of a special Ayu comeback special to the FNS just in case...
(Note - the only time she was on Fuji TV this year was back in April... What a shame - it seems as if the TV was nothing since Mirrorcle World and the Japanese public does not have very much Ayu spirit like, well, back up to ten years ago...) |

A Love song performance at FNS would have been so damn epic! Well, guess that's not happening, I already missed her there last year. Usually you got the winter song(as in song released in winter, not wintery song) performance that stuck out most at that show...the Pride one...perfect.

The last two years, FNS has had a theme of collaborations. I wonder if that is the reason why Ayu stopped attending. Of course she has a collaboration to promote right now though.... That song really does not fit the FNS style though.

And except for Urata, it seems that Ayu is more independent and is NOT really interested very much in collaborations with other artists like others do. Evidently this year's FNS had a LOT of collaborations, but maybe combining with the CDL and other constrained scheduling conflicts, maybe she did not attend FNS because the standards there are not something that Ayu is quite interested. And we don't see a lot of "big-hit" Ayu songs this year that could suit FNS. Maybe next year's FNS could be returning back to typical soloist talk like in 2006 and 2007, and maybe Ayu could come back there, but it's too early to tell what's coming up for the 2011 holiday season. And we're only in 2010, and there's still another year away from another FNS music festival coming! ( Spoiler:

If Ayu doesn't want to go, she doesn't have to go. And I mean no harm, but I'm sick of the "she did it all before" arguments. Just because in the past she was outrageously busy doesn't mean for the rest of her life she has to be outrageously busy. Maybe she's learned the value of not trying to do everything so she doesn't work herself into an early grave.

She has certainly done collab performances in the past, but for some reason I never have the image that Ayu really is someone who likes collaborating with other artists. I do not know why, its just the image I have. :)
She has done collabs when it was on her own show or when she was using it for promotion like on SmapSmap, but I do not recall her having done a collaboration just for the heck of it. (which is what the majority of this years FNS set list was and last years too) |

Apparently Ayu mentioned on Twitter that she will perform Love song at Best Artist on the 15th.
I read that Microphone was in consideration for her Kouhaku song, but that's tentative. |
