Thoughts on a-nation '10
 

So, we've got a rip of Ayu's set during a-nation '10 FINALLY. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out at the following link! http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/LdqP_aAp6v0// It might be a bit slow since it is Tudou. I still have yet to watch the whole thing so... off to watch it!

I will say this though, judging from what I've seen of Microphone, she looks and sounds fantastic! (in before people say "editing" as usual, haha.)

Watched it all, and i thought it was amazing!!
I Loved Microphone, it was just so epic, and when Ayu is getting her neck bitten at the end of it , so amazing!
The rest of it was so good as well :) very happy, and crossroad was so good!
I loved the sparkling bus ayu sang boys and girls on it was so pretty!

crossroad was amazing... this song is better live. I think it has such an "epic" sound...

It was great...until I saw that atrocious thing on her head. What was she thinking...? :thud

This is impossible, I enjoyed all performances! Whole thing was full of positive energy! Microphone was so epic! Summer medley, surprisingly, full of power! crossroad is really a gift from heaven, another flawless performance :heart I was smiling throughout the rest! And her fangirling again :heart! Omg I've been waiting to watch this year a-nation so badly and I'm not disappointed at all! :heart I don't remember when I last was so pleased with her and praised her that much! But what to do - everything was clearly perfect. :heart

It was AMAZING! So I'm wondering how much work they did in post. It doesn't really sound too processed, though.

Oh, and Grateful Days actually sounds like it was sung live this year. xD

Just finished watching it! SO much energy! she looked beautiful too, even that yellow dress actually managed to look good in the summer medley :laugh Microphone was so fierce omg. crossroad was beautiful, and the rest of the performances were full of so much energy, I couldn't help but smile. the audience was SO pumped and having so much fun. her vocals were pretty great too, I noticed they were better than last years. ayu proves once again that she owns a-nation <3

It was fantastic! I completely enjoyed the whole thing. And omg, crossroad is so amazing live :luv2

I felt like last year's intro + Rule was much better, but her entrance here is still epic nevertheless! The only thing I that's actually running in my head throughout the whole was how much BETTER her hair was than last year's atrocious beehive =____= Also, the whole thing feels significantly shorter than the last two years'. Hahaha, spoilt fan here, sorry.

I love the zombie/vampire thing they got going for Microphone though, wish she did that for AT10, but since we're still not sure how the robot thing is looking like, I guess I should hold all opinions until then!

If it felt short, there's a reason for that, haha. They cut out like 3-4 songs. ASFXX/blossom... wahh! I wanted to see her in the hot minidress.

epic, flawless, I like the concept, energy, her vocal. everything!! have to watch it again. It was such a pleasure

I'm watching it right now, got to Boys & Girls so far, but I absolutely loved Microphone and crossroad, both were amazing performances :heart

I hope we'll get to see A Song for XX one day.

The transition between Microphone and the Medley doesn't work well. LOL

First, Maro is biting her neck, and then Maro is dancing with a rainbow feather thing, LOL, and everyone is celebrating summer...

But she was pretty good this summer! Her moving around so much made the summer songs kind of difficult I guess, but she was for sure not lipsyncing <3

I also think higher key songs like Crossroad sound better for her now. Even Boys & Girls sounds so good~~

^They skipped A Song for XX on the DVD... that was the song after Microphone...

The DVD doesn't have all of her performances from this year....

I know.

I am just saying that the transition in which the edited it was not good at all LOL.

I really love the way it was edited xD It was performance after performance, with no space to breath or think! This made the whole thing even more energetic

I thought the transitions were awesome, haha. I couldn't tell they were split, really.

Microphone was like the epic ****, omg.

It was ****ing amazing omg.

I could have done without that awful cute song though...it was all over the place lol

But everything else was top notch, and it was amazing, and she sounded amazing.

The performances were just perfect! Especially Microphone, crossroad and July 1st. Both the costumes and the vocals <3

These are easily my favorite performances by a long shot. Microphone is so freakin ayumazing! And crossroad...wow. Her vocals are perfect! I love them!♥

From Ayu side it was amazing, both vocals and looks, but (I'm saying it for like fouth time today, haha) I don't like the camera angles, whenever I want Ayu-close up the camera shows her from far away, the close ups are very short, the dancers close ups also appear for a split second and dissappear.

I wish we had TV version of this, hopefully she releases it someday like she did with A Complete.

Ayu's performance was GREAT, AWESOME and reli, reli WONDERFUL!

I had soooo much fun watching it (even when the quality wasn't very good! :D).
Her voice was AMAZING and the perfomances were great too.
I'm so happy that she sang "crossroad" (this song is even better live!) - the performance blew me away!! It was SOOOOOOO good!
"Microphone" was amazing too...like all the other songs!!

The only thing I don't like - but that's not Ayu's fault - is, that they cut so many songs...how could they?! I'm still crying, because there is no "A Song for XX", "MOON" and "blossom"! :(

At the moment all I can bring myself to say is that the intro+Microphone performance kicked ass; and something about crossroad live always makes me cry, with every crossroad performance I've been touched and cried!

you know, I was thinking of that too. way too many far away shots.. that's something that I would expect from a TV version, but not a DVD version. I expect the better angles and stuff for the DVD version. it still was amazing though. I do miss the cut performances too though :( we've seen ASFXX live many times.. but never blossom! I really wanted that :(

It's quite good :D Microphone was epic and the summer songs medley was cute :) better than her singing one or two songs. It sounds fresher than her previous years. Can't wait to have a HQ version :D :D

I was like "wtf!!!!!!!!!!!" And the crowd was really energetic in July 1st!! Did anyone actually was gone at ayu's part since the stadium seemed fuller than ever!

yupp thats the one thing that spoilt my mood :irked and hope they didnt cut the part when ayu is talking~

other than that,that Thriller style for Microphone is awesome with Ayu's style and she looks really into this a nation,she looks really all out with crossroad and lastly,shes really enjoying the B&G perf and lol of the cutesy :D

Microphone is the best!!

And I noticed her speaking voice is very different, very much higher. When she says "iku yo!" or like Boys & Girls one "na~ra!" it's really high, very different than her voice before... I'm really proud of her! It's really great that her voice is returning to normal!

LOVE is all I have to say. Her energy is so remarkable. It's boundless. Also, I love the way she keeps evolving with every performance, and doesn't get so stuck in the "image" of a song - each performance is a little difference, just as she evolves. :)

Absolutely amazing! :love This is definitely my favourite set of a-nation performances ever.

It's pretty awesome how she's been one upping herself with a-nation each year with the exception of maybe '06 and '07~

Microphone: Oh dear. This was amazing! I loved this performance so much. I didn't like the live versions she did on tv-shows, but on a'nation it was great! Her vocals are so great here.

Greatful Days/glitter/BLUE BIRD: I like this summer mix. These three are not my favorite songs, but she sang them very well on stage. So nice, so sweet and so catchy. Awesome!

crossroad: Give it a try to sing this song, it's freakin' hard. I think she did a good job, however I think she did a better job on Music Station. Lovely performance!

Boys&Girls: BAM! Ayu in supercute dress on a huge wtf-thing. Seriously dude, this performance was such an energy rush! Great entertainment.

July 1st: (Wow I even forgot that this song exists) Nice ending. But my god: that chick has energy! I love to see her like this!

Too bad she had a stupid ribbon on her head in the last performances.

crossroad is one of the very few, maybe the only Ayu song, in which I can hit every note and sound more or lass decent. I'd call it one of her easiest songs, if not the easiest. Not saying it's bad, I love it and it shows her vocals beautifully!

I thought this was her best a-nation though we only got half of it, Microphone and crossroad belong to her best performances ever for me. didn't care much for Boys & Girls and July 1st, the medley was nice.

I ' ve loved it, but i was expecting the a song for xx and blossom lives... please anyone with a twitter account say to ayu to put this in the next album dvd... maybe she will agree .... T___T snif

Am I the only one who thought the dancers for Microphone looked more like homeless people than Zombies? great performances otherwise, but where is Sunrise?

Ayumi is not dumb enough to lip-synch a song where she is singing with a hand microphone while stop singing the verses to talk to the audience and shout... That would be REALLY stupid...
