To my beloved TA,
2 January 2011. 3:10pm

On the 1st of January 2011,

we registered our marriage in a small chapel in America.

Because I want everyone in TA to know about this first, I'm writing this now.

I think everyone else knows about this already, but my husband is Mannie.

He is my Last angel.

From now on, I will still continue being the person I have always been.

That's why, I wish for everyone to continue being the same too.

Let's go on at the same speed, watching the same scenery.

Thanks Misa!

Kogepan_19 2nd January 2011 06:25 AM

From my understanding of Japanese, it seems as if Ayu is saying that she won't be leaving the music industry even after being with Mannie now.

Then she throws in the last line of lyrics in NEXT LEVEL at the end of the post.

KPL 2nd January 2011 06:25 AM

thanks for the translation 。 uh, so fast

panda♥ 2nd January 2011 06:34 AM

no, it means they have the license to get married. :)

hmmm..coz in my country, if i register my marriage then that means i'm officially married.. is it different in US? (coz i just got married n registered my marriage)

Larisa-chan 2nd January 2011 06:38 AM

Stupid question, but if they didn't get married then why do they BOTH have rings on their fingers?

;/ I mean, I guess they could both have engagement rings, but... it's unusual for guys to have them...

lumieregrl 2nd January 2011 06:38 AM

I think if you have a license, you are married. They also could have done like my parents did where they said their vows right in front of the Justice of the Peace.

I could be wrong though...Never been married. XD

Misa-chan 2nd January 2011 06:40 AM

Registering a marriage means you are officially married by law. The wedding ceremonies with the dresses and flowers and stuff are just social events to celebrate. So if you're talking about the real deal, it's the registration. She is Mrs Schwarz by law now. :P

Raiu-Ayu 2nd January 2011 06:41 AM

Yeah I'm pretty sure registered your marriage meets that you are now husband & wifey :P (omg Ayumi Schwarz lol)

Anyway, congrats to ayu and Mannie. ayu deserves happiness and as long as she's happy and doing as she likes then I'm glad for her ^_^

Not Fade Away 2nd January 2011 06:43 AM

I hope she signed a pre-nup

Good for her though!

oooh okay. i thought you get the license and then you can have your ceremony whenever to officially marry.

so wow, that's a shocker. :thud

My best friend is so fascinated about this because his last name is also Schwarz lol!

ownsarai 2nd January 2011 06:47 AM

So they are officially married now!!??
OMG I am dying, this is such wonderful news!!
Congrats to Ayu and Mannie, and I hope they have a beautiful, loving life together. ^^

Lady~Deviance 2nd January 2011 06:47 AM

Holy ********** *******!!!! Congrats Ayu!!!!! Best of luck and wishes!!!!
I hope you enjoy being married as much as I do!!!!!!! ;)

And about the whole registration issue, I take back what I said in regard to Ayu.
My husband and I registered our marriage at City Hall but we had our ceremony and reception a year later after our first child was born. So overall, by law you are married but the "ceremony/reception" is just a fancy way of celebrating your union with your beloved. I'm not sure what her case was, but my husband and I were officially married without a proper ceremony. My mother did the same thing. :shrug

Ayu'Kiss 2nd January 2011 06:49 AM

Ayu, you've almost killed us of a heart attack in less than 2 days
lol

So happy for Ayu and Mannie!
the picture is soo lovely <3

femtrooper 2nd January 2011 06:50 AM

Wow...that was fast! I hope that this is true love for her...because it seems pretty quick. Celebs need to be careful.

panda♥ 2nd January 2011 06:52 AM

i'm wondering how long they've been engaged. i know she just told us about it, but they could've been engaged for like a month now and decided to have their marriage on the 1st.

if they just got engaged, it's definitely kind of questionable why they got married so quickly... i know Avex said she isn't pregnant, but didn't they say that about Ai Otsuka and she was preg anyway?

alternarist 2nd January 2011 06:52 AM

Oh my god.. ayu is TRULY making a statement man!! i bet ayu loves 2011 the best!!

Wrong.

Registering a marriage is just getting permission from the state that you CAN get married on the date you choose, that you're not related, don't have any diseases, etc.

yeah, i was kind of confused. so i did get it right then? :) that's a relief, but alot of people are going to be confused and think they're really married now.

lumieregrl 2nd January 2011 06:56 AM

The way Ayu writes, it seems like SHE thinks they are married at least...lol

How are you getting that from that link? When you register the marriage you are married. You register so that the marriage is recognised by law

tasking 2nd January 2011 06:59 AM

No. You have to get a license first and register before the ceremony, at least here in the US. It's the law.

EDIT: Whoops, it shortened the link. Here:

yeah exactly. She is legally married now.

Besides you don't get a license to get married from a chapel you do that through the government before you register

I wonder how long she's actually known Mannie for? We assume that its just been since the Virgin Road PV but that could have just been a show for the cameras.

panda♥ 2nd January 2011 07:07 AM

^i think it's already been said that they've possibly been talking before the filming of Virgin Road, but the filming is the first time they met in person. :yes

Under law, it's the license that counts, isn't it?

Not sure about the US, I guess you guys do things differently. In most Asian countries, registry of a marriage is the real deal, not the ceremonies. ayu does sound like she considers herself legally married.

well i think they can still have a wedding/ceremony to celebrate it. assuming they will of course, we know how busy Ayu is though which is why i'm assuming they did everything so quickly and will have the actual wedding later. :laugh

I guess one can think of it that way, but really registering is an okay from the state TO get married and have the ceremony. They have to make sure the parties aren't related, among other things. I think considering Ayu's not a citizen, registering is especially important too.

njanjayrp 2nd January 2011 07:36 AM

aww~ It's nice to see they're not making a huge fuss with a huge wedding.

haha yea it's just so funny that this whole time, in fact, they were obviously dating.. but just most ppl thought they were just joking around..ahh~~ it's just so funny that we were all being fooled.. we should had seen it ever since they started to call hubby and wifey haha XDDD

But if he wrote that Oct 30th... Doesn't that mean that they met a few months ago before that tweet? Like at least in July or even before that? Or am I totally thinking wrong here? O.o

Anyway I think this is soooo cute! I start to think about my dear friends and relatives who got married really fast just because "they knew" and even now, many many years after they still love each other endlessly. ^_^ Best of luck to Ayu and Mannie! :heart

And btw, THAT PIC MADE MY HEART IMPLODE! IT'S SOOO CUTE!

Jennie Mae 2nd January 2011 08:22 AM

The Virgin Road PV would have been filmed in August, which is a couple months before October, right?
I am sooo happy they are married! And yes yes yes, registered means married. A wedding is just for show and doesn't legally count unless you sign the right documents. Which they did.
Omg.
