Sweet! Hopefully the sales will reach that! But my question is, if they only ship 250k copies, it can only sell 250k copies... why not ship more? Or do they steadily ship more as weeks go by?
|
They shipped way more, but not 500k, and unless they ship it, it wont get the double platinum status :)

Ayu's Next Level was her last to be certified Double Platinum, but sold like 120k short of that, so I'm guessing that they're shipping somewhere between Platinum and Double Platinum now... |
Wait, does RIAJ include the shipment of all versions (Japan, Korea, HK Press) within Japan and the rest of the world?

Were the standards for platinum lowered since 2000?
Just wondering, with the overall declining of CD sales... |

^^So then what is it considered if a release sells a million?
quadruple platinum? |

Japan is the only country in the world with a "Million" certification XD. And to be honest, I think it's a bit silly. This way, you can't differentiate between an album that sells 1,000,000 copies and one that sells 1,850,000, just because the second one hasn't reached 2 Million yet. If they'd just keep Platinum, you'd see these differences. It's what England has, with Platinum being the highest certification with 300,000 in sales. And England album sales aren't that different from those in Japan : / |
WOW! Congrats Ayu *-*
|
really, a million ? LOL
|
Go Ayu~
|
I'm sure Ayu is very happy~ and so am I! Congrats Ayuuuuu!!
