ayu's TA Diary [12.03.2011] "Guys."
I had to somehow let everybody know this message from ayu.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 「How are you getting through it? It's so scary. We're so worried, we can't bear it. We're shaking. It's okay not to force yourself to say I'm fine. It's fine to cry just because you want to. Even myself, with the images in the television display a scene too cruel, my tears didn't stop. For sure, the yesterday that everyone thought would be spent so usually, turned into a nightmare in one moment. Furthermore, it was right infront of us. Without being able to do anything. Without being able to do anything else but stare. Even now, the pictures that the news is transmitting are so painful. So, so painful. But... After that's finished, don't you want to try and take a deep breath and raise our heads together? Now, when it seems that everything has settled for the moment. But, now is not the end, because it starts from today, that much we all understand. The Japan which has received so much damage. The Japan which has been hurt, and is in tatters. Our country, which has been engraved with an endless sorrow. Why don't we all, together, continue to heal those wounds, no matter how long it takes, without giving up until the end? It's okay to take little steps, and it's okay if we're not perfect, and it's okay to make mistakes, because the important thing is not to give up. Believe that if it's us, we can definitely do it. March 11th, 2011... I won't forget.」 Translation by maikaru. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

It's really, really touching. Definitely the 11th of March is a black date on the calendar. Here in Spain, it was the anniversary of a horrible terrorism attack in Madrid too, and now this. Definitely is a date I'll never forget U__U Don't give up Japan!! |
Thank you for the message.
Ayu's message is so inspriring, god bless her. Don't give up Japan. <3 |
All these pictures in the news are really shocking. I'm so sorry for all those people!

We'll allow this for emergency purposes. I just can't keep my mind off Japan because of the devastating disaster.

I'm crying...this is such an awful thing that has happened... Ayu is such an inspirational person, and I respect her so much for this, and what she's been doing on Twitter since yesterday :heart
I'll pray for Japan with all of you :cry |
She's truly a pillar of support.
...but seriously, it's been many times that you need to NOT post the original Japanese TA messages outside of TA. Please take it down. |
That message gave me tears, it was so touching. ;__;

I believe Ayu would want EVERYONE to read this one, not just TA Members. She is addressing all of Japan, maybe the world, not just TA Member... |
Thank you, great words in such a hard time.

And remember...most of us here at AHS don't speak Japanese significantly, like me!
|
I won't be posting her exact words in Japanese, as requested by chocopockymaster. Sorry about that.
The translation gives us an idea of what she wanted to say, but it isn't her words, so I see no problem with posting that in here. :) |
Thank you for sharing with us and translating
|
so, it's the ayu's first, isn't it?? :(
aw.. she's just so sweet... and I hope the people in Japan can stay strong and never give up!!! thanks for translating! |
Words of inspiration. It's exactly what we all need to hear right now, especially those TA members living in Japan.
|
So touching...
I kinda wonder if this event will inspire her to write a song about it. |
such an emotional message from her..
thanks for posting this! |
Love you, Ayu. :heart
|
/thank you for the translation.
i just realise... the date... 311 |
Such an emotional, yet hopeful and inspirational message from Ayu.
I am still praying for Japan to pull through this. |
Glad to see Ayu's post.. but really sad for Japan.
|
I believe that everything will go through, and because of the strength of living, we will stand together as a family, pray.....
|
Thank you for sharing!
She always chooses the right words... But I'm so sad and scared. I want to see her smile again! I want that everybody in Japan can laugh again! I hope, the worst is over...! |
ayumi is truly a one winged angel :angel always thinking of others
|
I live so far from Japan but feel so close, sad & hands trembling and all.
Anywyay, I'm so proud of Ayu helping like a big sister to her Japanese fans. Thx for sharing this entry. |
Thank you for posting!
|
Thanks for posting and translation.
I am watching the news nearly all the time to keep up with what happens in Japan and as soon as I start watching and see all the pictures again, I cry, can't help it. Just now I heard that a second nuclear plant is in danger as well as that a vulcan got active again? It's just too much.. |
Could someone post the original Japanese?
|
thank you.

Thank you so much for sharing. It feels like she is speaking directly to my heart. I had plans to go see her in concert this June for the first time ... I wonder if that will still happen.

May I ask why? I assume it's to do with Ayu's words regarding re-posting? |
Quote:
1) Right on the first page of TA, there's this: "本サイトの内容を営利、非営利を問わず無断で使用することを禁止します。" which translates into "Usage of all contents on this site without permission is prohibited, whether for commercial gain or otherwise." Yes, it's a paid site, of course they will say such things, but it then depends on whether the TA member in question follows it or not. Honestly, most of us don't, which is why you see all these translations floating around. But then, ayu's original message is entirely hers. When we translate, it's ayu's meaning and information we bring over, but the words are ours, the translator's own. By translating, I am not only changing ayu's message into a well-known language, I am also changing the message into my own in an evitable way, because the words are mine, not hers. I am not directly taking contents out from the TA site wholesale, but rather, I am sharing ideas eg ayu's thoughts and stuff. I know many people will argue with this, but that's what I personally believe. 2) True, ayu has never come out to directly state that we cannot repost her original Japanese TA messages outside of TA (or at least I haven't found any that says so yet, I only started translating in 2010, so she may have said so earlier). But there have been several messages over the years which included the following paragraphs. Quote:

3) Some people may argue that "Hey, some Japanese sites repost the messages word for word". Yes, but I feel that that's their problem. Those sites are those sites, AHS is AHS. We can't say that "they're doing it, so we should do it too". It's like saying (random example) "North Korea is amassing nuclear weapons, so we can too!". Imo, it's up to us to distinguish between what we can do, and what we should do. Sorry, that turned into a bigger rant than I thought it would, but I just felt like I had to explain why some of us stand by the fact that ayu's Japanese messages should not be shared openly on the net. Thanks for reading!! :) |
thanks for posting!!
