I love the idea of the plastic case. She looks nice with that hair too. Most people look kinda bad with that cut.

I think both ALWAYS and Eien no Uta (which were both movie theme songs) had shots from the movie added in the PV so I doubt they wouldn't do the same for Dear.

Loved the creativity of this PV, seems like an interesting storyline, they should have gone further though. That's my only negative point.
The atmosphere also reminds me of YOU'D BE SO NICE TO COME HOME TO's and Eien no Uta's PVs. Really nice work.

On April 18th, a private showing of the upcoming movie, “Youkame no Semi“, which Inoue Mao stars in, was held, and Inoue, Nagasaku Hiromi, Moriguchi Yoko, Narushima Izuru (the director), and singer Nakashima Mika made appearances.

At the showing, Nakashima performed its theme song “Dear“, which was her first performance in front of an audience since she made a comeback from Patulous Eustachian tube.

Watching Nakashima’s performance made Inoue and Nagasaku tear up, and Inoue said, “It reminds me of so many things… I’m very touched to be able to hear this song this close.” Not only Inoue and Nagasaku, but also the audience was also happy to see Nakashima’s performance, as Nakashima received a storm of applause, as well as cheers saying, “Congratulations on your comeback!”

“Youkame no Semi” is based on the best seller novel written by Kakuta Mitsuyo, and it’s a human suspense story of a woman (Nagasaku) who kidnaps her lover’s baby, and a girl (Inoue) who was raised by the kidnapper for four years. The official release of this movie is scheduled for April 29th.

Sometimes I feel she's too beautiful to be real. She's simply gorgeous.

I have a question for maybe some hardcore fans, is there a reason Mika does a lot of ballads? I keep up with her every now and then it seems like every single is a ballad. The last non-ballad I remember was 'I don't know.' Unless Overload doesn't count.

There's no particular reason, she's just called the ballad queen because she does them best. I think she did a lot of ballad lately because she wanted to do more upbeat songs for VOICE and the following tour (overload + candy girl) then she did a lot of ballads (Nagareboshi, ALWAYS, Ichiban Kirei na Watashi wo & Dear)

I just personally think her ballads sells better than her more upbeat songs, that could be simply a marketting reason, her voice is also more suited for them maybe ?

Mika's got a very smooth voice which sounds really good when she sings ballads or jazz songs

I kind of REALLY miss her Jazz songs, her voice is so heavenly in those songs. There really isn't anyone in Japan who does music like Mika.

I thought I was the only person alive who missed her more jazz based songs. lol! I would sell my first born (not literally, I love my kids:P) in order to have Mika release another Jazz-esque album like 'TRUE' or 'LOVE'. Oh Mika why? :(

Dear is doing really, really good on recochoku charts.
It's #1 in three classes and in the top 10 in most of the others.
