Rock'n'Roll Circus Tour FINAL ~7days Special~ thoughts?
Watching it now, Rainy Day and BALLAD is Ayu's best ballad section yet :D
|
This tour is leaving me speechless and Ayu hasn't even appeared yet!
Some GIFs from THE introduction which is FANTASTIC. Probably one of her best tour openers yet. ADORE the dance sequence pre-Microphone. AWESOME ROBOOOOOOS~ Spoiler:
|
In terms of show, it's not as 'big' as AT05 or AT06.. But, in terms of performance, it's, for me, the best she has EVER done... Her vocals are super strong, the tracklist is superb, and it all just...fits!... She has alot of emotions in this tour
|
LESBIAN KISS! LESBIAN KISS!!!!!!!
http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/3...2018h43m52.png All I could think about haha |
The opening was awesome!!!
Really love the ballad section. So sad and so beautiful. :( |
THE Introduction is super awesome! Those moving screens remind me of Madonna's reinvention tour! SO COOL!
Microphone, as mentioned previously, was epic! And rainy day was <3. would be better if they can focus more on ayu during that perf though haha! Virgin Road is really WOW! She looked as though she's gonna cry anytime XD. The screens from the pre-don't look back performance seemed magical. like Alibaba XD. loved how the dancers interact with the screens!! Hope to see the full concert soon hehe, esp Memorial address! |
She's KILLING count down right now. The vocals are better than the studio version. WHAT THE HECK?!
|
^ Can you put the gifs under a spoiler, baha. :P
I loved the opening of this tour. I wish the music playing with the robots was actually the intro for the introduction -_- |
Foiiine. I assumed people would come in here full knowing what they might see~ haha.
|
Oh I just meant because of my slow computer, hahaha
|
Oh... well.. I dunno if spoilering them would help you, haha. They load anyway despite being in a spoiler... d'oh~
Still watching and the show just keeps getting better and better. fffffu. I want my Blu-ray soooon~ |
OMG YOU GUYS ARE MAKING ME SO EXCITED!!!! >_____<;
|
OH GOD I'M SO EXCITED!! :D
I'm going to have to wait until someone posts it up on eBay for less than the full price, though, because it's awfully expensive this time around. Why? :( |
Hmm, it's not that different actually. (Probably due more to the exchange rate being baaaad as ever)
The Blu-ray is a bit more than usual, but that's a Blu-ray and SUPER high quality. [Basically uncompressed footage kind of...?]~ REVIEW~ 00. circus - These damn clowns, haha. Loved them. I liked how high energy they were and they really got the show going despite kind of really being inappropriate for what was coming next. They were ~SURPRISED~ by THE introduction when it started up and started running away as soon as things kind of got eerie, dohoho~ 01. THE introduction - I'm pretty sure this is one of my favorite concert openings EVER from Ayu. The robodance sequence before Microphone is just... WOW. Whoever choreographed that, KUDOS TO YOU. Because I don't even know when the last time they did something that epic-looking when it comes to choreography was. The background images of Ayu grimacing/smiling/whatever with and without makeup were breathtaking and beautiful even if you only saw them for like, two seconds. 02. Microphone - Stunning performance. Her voice was on point and the robodancers were all awesome during the entire song. It was like this song was made to open this exact show. We needed to see some more of the background with the giant swinging guitars and semi-Real me cloaked Ayu, but hey, you can't have everything! 03. Last angel - Loved this more than the performance at CDL. Still was kind of peeved at the lack of singing during the verses, but she did well. This song really is not easy to sing and she pulled it off. The screens in the background had multicolored flashes of light and feathers/angel's wings while she was singing and the entire thing kind of just went to the beat of the song, quite pretty actually. The acrobats were a welcome sight. Lots of flips and all that throughout the show from them! (and the clowns.) 04. About You - Standard performance of About You, but somehow it was better than previous ones? Maybe it's because the entire thing is contained in such an amazing package, haha. 05. solitude - Gorgeous sequence of lovers searching... Ayu looked amazing in the screen shots. I think she should've kept the other dress.... but probably since the MOON dress had to be underneath, they did a bit of a switcheroo? I dunno. I did like that older dress better with the empire waist and etc. The scenes with the tears against the silhouettes and the crying + blood/vomit/whatever... agghh amazing. 06. rainy day - Vocally, she did well. Somehow I feel like the AT06 rendition was better when it comes to her singing, but the execution was WAY better here. The minimalist raindrops, the other dancers as bystanders/etc... it all just worked! They really did not focus on Ayu as much as they should have, but this set of songs was all about the four of them. 07. BALLAD - Stand out! STAND OUT! It's like... the defining performance of a song that makes you LOVE the song that you weren't so sure about before. This year's HAPPY ENDING from AT05! It's like... EPIC. Flowers flying everywhere, people dying, and Ayu breaking up into tears at the end! She does superbly when it comes to her vocals and is it just me or did Ayu's acting get REALLY convincing for this tour? She probably got lessons in LA or something, huh? Haha. 08. MOON - Simple performance of MOON. She looked great [slimmest she's been since 2006 I think?] and sounded fine. Her voice had a bit of a shaky quality to it from crying after BALLAD but she recovered. MOON could've used more moons throughout the performance instead of just during the last minute or so, but hey. 09. Rimbaud - LOVED THIS. It was amazing! This is how they should do wadaiko shows from now on! Subaru, good job. You get a cookie and some cake. OH OH. And the screens! AMAZING. SO BRIGHT AND SHINY. 10. count down - Vocally, probably the best performance of the show on this disc. SHE SANG THE SONG BETTER THAN IN THE STUDIO VERSION. HOW DO YOU EVEN!? I don't get it! Haha. But yeah, this song was amazing live and she looked great in her weird metal-eaten red dress thing. 11. Memorial address - On par with the original AT03-04 performance of Memorial address, I'd say. She didn't cry or anything, but she already did that during BALLAD soooo, eh. As usual for this concert, she did great vocally. Not much I can say other than bravo. 12. Virgin Road - Beauty! Gorgeous! Weddings! Ayu scurrying around is hilarious though. I think that this is how they should've done the DT01 'M' performance... without that weird light up headdress/dress. Vocals were great, background screens were awesome [Groom silhouette! Stained glass!] as it seems this tour really pulled out all the stops when it comes to the visuals. 13. memories - D'awww. One of the most innovative uses of the screens Ayu has ever had in the history of her tours! The dancers interact with the screen and we see some cool stuff like faeries, veiled Ayu, and some pop art Ayu~ I want more of this sort of thing in a tourrr~ Dancers did a great job too! 14. Don't look back - Choreography was so tight for this set. Ayu was really fierce during the last half of the concert... not sure what came across her, but she was like whipping her hair back and forth in these next three numbers. Voice was just fine. 15. INSPIRE - Typically awesome performance of INSPIRE [way better than the one at CDL09-10 I think] and the crowd seemed to be way more excited this time around. Ayu did great vocally. 16. Because of You - Mmm, after not really doing so well on the day of filming for CDL09-10, Ayu did Because of You justice! There are some points where she stops singing where she normally [in 2003-2005ish] would've kept going but that's the case for a lot of songs. Ayu x Kazuma seemed to be happening a lot in this set. I wish Ayu kept her damn crystal hat thing! No complaints from me here! 17. THE CABARET - I dunno what this was. It was fine imo, but... I didn't understand what PECO and PRINCESS were singing half the time, haha. "CABAREEETTTT, shinjitsu noooo ??????????????" Wasn't bad, but it wasn't fantastic or anything. 18. Sexy little things - Interesting performance of Sexy little things. SO MANY THINGS HAPPENING. You have acrobats sitting over there, clowns doing tricks, Ayu and Kayanocchi on a piano, GO-MI running around in his 'drag' or whatever... it was just a lot going on! Very cute though. Thought they'd use some more effects on her voice, but they didn't. Oh well, still sounded great to me. Costumes were cute too. 19. STEP you - FINALLY. SHE DIDN'T PERFORM STEP YOU LIKE THE LAST 4-5 TIMES SHE HAS. Her "1234youandme1234youandme" after the bridge was so lol. I totally didn't understand why the dressing room/bedroom split and why the end went same-sex couples but eh! Haha~ 20. Jump! - Hot dance battle! That's about all that happened here. 21. Lady Dynamite - Great performance! I think I'm gonna stick this into my memory vs. the PV as my representation of the song, haha. Ayu sang it well and everyone looked like they were having tons of fun! Creepy half motorcycle clown was awesome too~ 22. until that Day... - Not really a fan of this song in concert for some reason. I think it's because she does it a lot... and it tends to be the same. Thankfully this time she did NOT perform it in the same way as usual and things were just fine! Seems like this concert did that a lot for most songs she performs pretty often. 23. SURREAL 〜 evolution 〜 SURREAL - Mmm, loved how the dancers all ended up in various outfits from throughout the concert. Could've ended with a different song/medley since we've heard SURREALevolutionSURREAL HOW many times now? But it fit the occasion. Every time she does SURREAL I kind of think about that CDL07-08 performance before she announced the deafness thing and I feel like she's come a long way since then. She's such a trooper. Overall, this is probably her top concert tour for me now. She really did outdo herself this time and 5 years after AT05, she's outdone herself in this concert for the 2nd time. She was seriously performing at 110% for the entire concert! I want to watch this over and over and over and over again in HD. I wonder if she'll keep the momentum going for this year's POWER of MUSIC tour~? |
For those of us using PowerDVD to play the ISO, if you use these settings...
http://i54.tinypic.com/14scoyo.jpg While playing with 5.1 audio you can get a pretty nice karoke version of the concert with Ayu's vocals turned down to a echo. |
AHH I want to watch it...I'm really anxious to see how awesome it is!
|
I came here to say GAY KISSES GAY KISSES GAY KISSES!!!! but it looks like everyone noticed already! hahaha! i have no idea WHY they had the gay kisses, but i loved it nonetheless!
This was one of her best concerts I think. The intro and Microphone were just breathtakingly amazing and her vocals were near perfect thru the whole concert!!! Great job Ayu!!! |
^I REALLY WANT TO SEE THIS!!!!!! I'm dying from anticipation~
|
emotional performance :( |
I wanna see/hear countdown the most now! Idk when I'll find time to watch or when I'll actually feel compelled to sit through the whole thing but we will see. I have yet to watch AT09 in full.
|
Basically, once you start watching you can't stop because it BUILDSSSSS.
|
here's sweet season:

I couldn't stop watching because they seemed to build up all this energy towards the end. It's 3 am in the morning and I already regret starting to watch it that late. THE introduction, Last Angel, Ballad, Sexy little things and Lady Dynamite were so intense. Those were ironically the songs I was anticipating the least. Damn, I'm too hyped up to go to bed now! |
BALLAD and count down were the biggest surprises for me.
|
Quote:
And omfg count down, my favorite performance together with Memorial address... Her power was incredible, and so were her vocals. |
From the performances I've seen I can definitely say that this concert is freaking amazing!
|
AMAZING AMAZING :heart
just finished watching Memorial Address. This performance alone solidifies her vocal improvement. Imo, she hasn't sounded this good since 2006. Vibrato without reliance... strong!!!!! Gosh. I love ayu. can't wait to get my blu-ray :) |
Memorial address looks and sounds so good so far! I stopped it after the power first kicks in - I'll wait to watch the concert but idk when I have time :(
|
OMG. I saw the videos. BEST AYU TOUR TO DATE. Probably the same, maybe even above the level of AT05 for me.
Ayu's vocals are amazing! The high notes she reached, I never thought I'd even hear her sing that high again! Memorial address was amazing, and her voice took me by surprise. Maybe I'm just overreacting :D I want someone to leak BALLAD on YouTube so bad! :D EDIT: I just saw BALLAD. OH. MY. GOSH. I am bawling, I am breaking down. IT WAS SO FRIGGIN' AMAZING. I just can't... oh my goodness, I am such an emotional wreck right now. I want the DVD so bad now :( |
bring back nostalgic feelings.. i watched the concert a year ago!! :( i have watched videos of Microphone, THE introduction, Sexy little things, Lady Dynamite, Virgin Road and STEP you!
this has to be the most awesomest concert ayu ever held! |
OMG! This concert is SO AWESOME. I've only been watching the clips available on youtube but HOLY CRAP. It's so amazinggggggggggg. Goosebumps!
|
I watched only Disc 1 ISO and waiting for Disc 2,
fav performance: SPECIAL SCREEN + Don't look back:love |

I've watched up to Virgin Road, and HOLY FREAKING CRAP! This concert is amazing!! Her vocals, the visuals...everything is just wonderful! :heart:heart:heart:heart
|
I cant believe i got goosebumps just reading these comments and imagining...I WANT MY DVD :( VERY EXCITED..I believe (Strongly) that this tour is gonna beat AT05 :)
|
This is the best live concert performance I have ever seen! FULL OF CONTENTS AND TRICKS!
|
^ so far, it seems to be coming pretty darn close!
|
HOLY **** SHES KILLING THIS CONCERT
count down is so good. |
Downloading now. Hopefully I'll get to watch next week if I'm lucky. So busy with work. Two weeks straight!
|
YOU GUYS YOU'RE KILLING ME! xD
I really want to watch the videos, too, but then I really will never finish my art history reading, haha. Also, I want to wait, because I am determined to actually get this DVD, and when I do watch it, I want to see it in all its glory on a large screen with big speakers, all the way through. But oh how I want to watch it now! I don't know if I'll be able to find a copy for a little less money by the summer, but I think I'll definitely have to get it by then! |
OMGGGG BALLAD AMAZED ME I WAS LIKE @[]@
|
AHHHHHHH only 1 person is leeching it now so it's going to take another 2 hours...:( I REALLY NEED TO SEE THIS CONCERT NOW~
|
i only saw don't look back and i was.....:thud:luv2:love
|
She was right, this IS her best tour. It kicks all her other tours butts!
Fav performances: count down, Memorial address, Last Angel, Microphone, rainy day, BALLAD, MOON, Virgin Road, Don't look back, Sexy little things, STEP you :heart She is SO energetic throughout this concert. There is no half-assing of anything anywhere here like there was in the NL tour. Love love love this concert! Totally worth staying up til 2 AM to finish watching it and ruining my sleep schedule for probably the rest of the month! :D |
O.O some people already saw it!!
lucky. I'm waiting my copy. Even if it's hard to wait, I prefer to watch my DVD. |
THIS CONCERT IS SO FREAKING EPIC!
This is BY FAR her best concert, dare I say, ever. She is so on through the entire thing. And BALLAD...wow, I was so not expecting that...it made me cry. 10/10 for me without a doubt. |
uggh...temptation..temptation...
but nice to hear good feedback from most of you |
I fell in love in count down *_*
|
So busy. Listening to remixes. And repeating RnRC! Waving my uchiwa bought from the tour. What a lovely night! XD
|
Did anyone find it disturbing to see that dancer (2yan?) with Ayu during inspire instead of Go-mi? I though it was such a horrible mismatch, I understand that Go-mi had to prepare for his drag queen performance and Ayu probably didn't want to use Shuya / Maro again but I really wish to see anyone but him XD
|
So far I've seen Last Angel, Microphone, Virgin Road, Memorial Address.
Bloody amazeballs. Just epic. People are going on about how it is as good as AT 05, so far it seems it is up there... As for her vocals, they must be really edited. I couldn't imagine her singing that well while running, like in Memorial Address and Virgin Road... I was at CDL10-11 and her live vocals were just pretty off... |
Quote:
|
Quote:
With CDL, she tends to do better on the 30th vs. the actual New Year's performance. Dunno why that is. I loved how it wasn't just Ayu x Shu-ya or Ayu x Maro for the whole concert. 2-YAN and Kazuma had time to shine! |
Re-watching countdown. Love this song more.
|
going to watch Disc 1 again today:heart
|
Quote:
Now i get the story for BALLAD. Spoiler:
|
It's probably because of the insertion of MOON.
|
i just saw count down,OMG the vocals are amazing!!!!!!!
|
I haven't been so excited about any of her concerts, so this I can't wait to watch. It looks so good. If only I could download it faassterr.
|
I had finish watching my blu ray this morning, and gosh... I can't stop crying, I really love this concert. It's feels so different to actually own a concert that I had been to, and it's one of the best concert.
Her vocals are really good in them, I had recorded the vocals when I was there, but the edited vocals in the disc is killing my tears. I hope someone can rip the vocals out. I need to put them on my itouch!!! Now, I'm left with the mc discs to watch, I wanna see ayu's dogs again!!! She brought them on stage on 16th may, it better be in the MC |
I only watched Microphone, count down , BALLAD and Last angel. For the rest, I'll watch them when I get to buy my own DVD.
From what I watched, I love all of them and I think this is the best Ayu's tour ever ! (okay, i had never watched AT05 which everyone said it's the best concert ever :P) |
Wow, very impressed, I don't like the tracklist much for this tour but I was still very impressed.
I though the second half (post-Virgin Road) was a lot better than the first half with all the angry-rock, which eh... I just don't like the songs much and was a bit bored. Save for memorial address, that song can do no wrong. Gomi was FLAWLESS. He really carried the segments he did. I think Gomi Circus Tour might have been a better title, really carried by her ensemble was the second half. I liked how this tour was less shu-ya centric, but I was still really let down by the ballad section - it was nice to see a different story but it was still full of flailing and reaching and Ayu pulling that awful "I'm sad D:" face. The Romeo and Juliet sort of thing at the end was different, I probably would have been more shocked if I wasn't expecting it. Visually I think she'll always act these segments terribly, but her fake crying in BALLAD was very good and believable. I really liked MOON though, and Virgin Road - it was just Ayu singing, and it was very emotional. I liked GREEN at PCDL (?) more though, where Maro and Midori (?) did a dance and Ayu wasn't part of the story, I think these section work best when Ayu is separate to her dancers. I loved how she was smiling in Virgin Road and later~ really nice after the complaints I had with the first half of the concert. The use of the M visuals for VR was perfect, I loved the screen they used too. Really powerful song, and perfectly executed. This overall, really reminded me of a theatre show more than a concert, which has it's pros and cons. I still have the same complaints I've had since the glorious 2005 MY STORY tour - she's lost in a mess of dancers and the same structure still. Is this a bad concert? No. I just don't think it's the best like everyone else is saying, it's definitely better than AT08 which was a mess, and the past few CDL's, and the stage is the best she's ever had - a nice combination of the AT07 style one and the changes she made for NL. No complaints about her vocals, save for Last Angel where she could have sang a bit more. I was really surprised when her voice came out higher for memorial address!!! Would have liked to have heard that a bit more, she seems to be comfortable with her new singing voice now though, which is really nice. I think I was a bit let down as she's improved since (i.e. in the Love Songs tv lives), but that's not a complaint as there was amazing improvement in this tour from her previous ones. I also liked how she seems to have dropped the lipsync for the more Kuu style, "hey, I'm just playing playback and not even pretending to sing it", like she did in Last Angel and I think she did it in another song too. I think that's better than her trying to sing it or doing obvious lipsync, especially as Last Angel was the vocal lowpoint (sadly, as I love the Love Songs' tracks more than the RnRC ones). I guess I'd like this a lot lot lot more if I was more emotionally attached to the songs she chose for this tour, as if I'm not fond of the music, I'm not going to love the concert as much. I enjoyed the songs - except countdown, there's a reason I can't remember how it goes - even if they're not my favourites. But I think the credit for that goes to Gomi, not Ayu. I'd rank it as an 8/10~ So really great, really fun (in the second half), but it's not beaten AT05~ |
Flawless. The most epic concert I've seen and heard in some years. Ayu is a rock girl at heart and this image just suits her the best. Everything from set list, her costumes, the performances and vocals was perfect. I'd say my faves are Microphone, count down, BALLAD, Because of you, Sexy little things, Lady Dynamite etc. The only thing that's missing is alterna =D
|
Quote:
I wasn't going to get this concert, but since it's Blu-ray I can read it in my PS3, makes things 10 times easier since I can only read Ayu's DVDs on my computer... Computer = 23inch screen. Blu-ray = 50inch screen. LOL |
|
Should've actually happened.
And OF COURSE the Blu-ray is worth it. This tour was MADE to be watched in high definition. |
I cant wait to watch it when my blu ray comes, but im downloading it now so i can watch the epicness!!
|
I'm still biting myself why she couldn't keep alterna (eg after Last angel or move after about you), those additional 5 minutes wouldn't hurt :(
Key would definitely be nice to hear. |

|
This is probably one of her best concerts ever (this coming from someone who's been bored by her stuff for the past 2 years). I cannot even believe how much she went back to being awesome....I mean after the crap that was the NL tour, it'd be quite easy to improve, but this final show blew me away. And I don't even like most of the RnRC songs.
|
I just had to :D
Spoiler:
She's so much into the show, esp during About you :D |
Does the P on the whiteboard mean PECO? Would have liked to see PECO doing the Robot moves in the Circus intro.
|

They didn't make it past rehearsals. I wonder if they had planned to alternate between songs on different nights or if it was some sort of medley.
|

|
Really, this is one of her best shows ever.
Awesome vocals in almost every song, perfect stage, coreography, screens, everything was flawless. (I'm talking about DVD1, because I haven't downloaded the second yet) And it's been a while since I saw Ayu so happy during a show! She was so hyper and emotional throughout the whole thing, it was so beautiful. And I must say... COUNTDOWN GOES STRAIGHT TO ONE OF HER BEST PERFORMANCES YET. |
Quote:
You see labels for Shu(ya), Ma(ro), Su(baru), and Kayano(cchi) on the board as well. |

I just finished the concert, and WOW! It was absolutely amazing! I liked the first half better than the second, but the second half was necessary and powerful (in its own way) after the intensity of the first half. I normally don't like concerts where it's all about the dancers and the band is pushed to the background, but her dancers did SO WELL during every moment of this concert; it felt like they were actually integrated into the show, instead of just being present to be shoved down our throats. I think part of it has to do with how different dancers had leads throughout the concert. Everyone, from the dancers to the band was on point the entire time, and Ayu was fantastic! Her vocals were wonderful the whole way through! Standout performances for me were BALLAD and countdown. |

A few years ago, an user from another forum 'separated' the audio channels of a DVD (Shakira's Oral fixation tour) and she/he got a track only with Shakira's voice and another track whit the music... Can someone do something like that?? It would be really nice =) |
You guys... about the Lady Dynamite performance. Is that clown on the screen wearing something akin to a motorcycle on his chest?
And then there's the Born This Way cover... |
Yeah, he's basically wearing the front part of a motorcycle without the wheel on his torso.
I wouldn't say it's related to Lady GaGa at all though... I mean, half motorcycle people have been done before. FFXIII anyone? And there was also a bike form that looked even more similar in Kamen Rider. |
THAT'S IT. I ORDERED THE BLU-RAY. Are you happy now, Ayu, because my wallet isn't! Why must it look so awesooooome. I can not wait to watch it in HD goodness, I watched most performances already, but all the other goodies are to die for as welll.
|
Everything is just damn powerful, and even if it sucked, we had drag Gomi to save the day! He alone already make the concert good xD
|
I finished watching AT10, it's best あゆ concert ever!:heart(everyone should watch it~)
|
JUST ORDERED THE BLU-RAY. u guys really made me give in HAHAHA
|
Listening to Memories for like 20th time, it's so addicting, I regret not putting it into winamp, I'm curious myself, it goes on & on since 6:30am or sth :D
|
^Ooooh I definitely agree XD. Memories is amazing!
I never realized how talented the acrobat trio were. I've watched them in past concerts, but never really cared much for them until now :D They really got a chance to showcase their skills. I hope that they don't become overused! |
I think they started being used during Future Classics onward?
|
Wow, the countdown live that came with A BEST 2 -BLACK- turned me off of her concerts. But damn, Memorial address on this concert was amazing (although I prefer the one where she was tearing up/crying, had way more emotion). MOON sounded amazing though. Gonna watch BALLAD, count down, Virgin Road, and rainy day in a bit.
|
I loved BALLAD performance! Best live ever in her discography! :D
I almost teared out after watching it. :'( |
BALLAD made me cry :'( And Memorial Address is so powerfull too...
The concert is really really good! One of my fav!! |
I love when ayu leaves me speechless. During BALLAD I thought its funny to be overdramatic, and than I find myself in tears lol. She's so powerful, energetic, the real diva, flawless, the most amazing goddess ever, Im in love.
|
^Yeah! I really love rainy day and BALLAD.
Somehow I prefer the original RnRC performance. Too bad it is not released (except the MCs). |
Writing a full review on 2nd-3rd-4th watch ♥ Though for some songs it's the 5rd-20th watch haha
00. circus Usually I hate clowns but those were acceptable and actually funny. Could have been a bit shorter but I liked it. 01. THE introduction Most epic concert opener Ayu has ever done. Actually, the only more epic thing I can think of are some Mylene Farmer tour openings. I love the music, the screens, the dancers, the smoke... 02. Microphone OMG! The new opening of the song is perfection and when the screen went up and BAM! There was Ayu! Amazing! Great costume and vocals, perfect opening song. 03. Last Angel One of my favorite ayu songs and she did great, even better than in CDL1011, actually even good vocals. I didn't like how there was green stuff used for the acrobatics but aside that one of my favorite performances, also really enjoy looking at the screen though it's just colours, wings and a caged feather. 04. About You Like expected, strong presence in this one, but I didn't like how the clowns suddenly appeared. 05. solitude Whoever directed this needs to shoot Ayu's PVs and if he/she does already then MORE of them!!! Beautiful images. And that last image with the blood and blue poison...but Maro looked weird crying. 06. rainy day I really loved it at AT06 but never got rid of the feeling that it probably was playback. But this...it's better visually AND there's no doubt about it being live, and her vocals aren't worse than in the AT06 version IMO. The rain looked bad in close-ups but it was meant to be watched from the audience so it's fine. Nice detail: the "rain" hanging over the stage. 07. BALLAD The first time I watched this...I cried. The second time it still made me tear up. It's so beautiful and so sad. The acting is surprisingly great, the vocals are amazing, the arrangement changes just perfect, the editing intense...I am in love with this performance. Just breathtaking. 08. MOON After BALLAD this performance seems almost unsatisfying, any performance would, but stand-alone it's really strong. 09. Rimbaud FLYING DRUMMERS :D Not much to say...screens were nice, too. 10. count down Best vocals of the concert? First thing I noticed was how DAMN good she sounded. Also the fire together with the screens makes for a great effect. 11. Memorial Address Aaaaaand...I cried again. This was a great performance and I am SO GLAD there aren't any dancers or screen projections in this. If there is one Ayu song that is best completely stripped down to just the song and Ayumi on stage, it's Memorial Address. 12. Virgin Road I feel like a crybaby, this made me tear up a bit xD It's tacky, but I like it. 13. memories The pop art Ayu kinda didn't fit in with the rest but HOLY ****, awesome video, awesome screen interaction...hot dancers... 14. Don't Look Back Out of this concert it's one of the lowpoints for me but still an amazing performance, just shows how good this concert actually is. I wish it would have been a bit more dramatic in the bridge, like the video. 15. INSPIRE Same old thing, liked the screens, better vocals than CDL. 16. Because of You Surprisingly hot performance, she seems to always do an amazing job at this song, I absolutely love the AT0304, CDL0506 and VMAJ performances of the song and now this. 17. THE CABARET DRAG QUEEN GOMI! AUTO-WIN! I actually liked this song. 18. Sexy Little Things Cute and fun to watch, but a bit too much was going on in parts for me and Ayumi seemed a bit lost, loved the Yoshio part in the end and Gomi chasing him away. 19. STEP you It was fun and all but for the most part when Ayu was sitting in the glass it looked like she was caged there, unable to properly move. They should have made it a bit bigger. And the "1,2,3,4 you and me?" sounded...bad... Loved the end and the video though! 20. Jump! Meh, the choreo didn't look great and some of the dancers are wearing truly ugly outfits(others manage to be somewhat hot) 21. Lady Dynamite YESSSSSS! AWESOME song and performance. I was a bit sceptical about going from a gay club theme to britpunk but it worked. Never imagined it would be such an audience song, too. Screen felt a bit Madonna but meh, the whole stage set-up was inspired by Madonna's 2009 tour, anyways. Loved her outfit, too. It looked bad on pics but it's pretty great on video. And that performance was just badass. 22. until that Day... I prefer her usual performance of the song ala AT07 but this is FAR from bad. 23. SURREAL~evolution~SURREAL I wished for something more epic as concert ender but I guess the audience songs had to be in there somewhere. Her vocals and the rearrangement were nice. Overall her BEST concert for me. ****ing amazing from beginning to end, incredible presence, great vocals, spectacular visuals... |
Masashi Muto was the director of the concert VTRs this time around.
(Depend on you, Ladies Night, is this LOVE?, You were..., Microphone, Sexy little things, crossroad, Virgin Road, Last angel, Love song, do it again) Weird there was no Wataru Takeishi involvement this time around~ |

This concert is awesome... My most favorite ayu concert. I can't imagine myself in tears while watching BALLAD and during Virgin Road... I watched BALLAD many times and I cried each time I watched it. Aw.
