I have to say that the new album tracks in Destination are a lot more better than what I thought at 1st

Yume no Katana is fantastic , it definitely picks up from where Freedom leaves behind

The other songs ain't 1/2 bad either <3

I should be getting Destination tomorrow ... I hope !

no.3 is good, but why their sales are dropping so fast ToT

yeah their sales have worsen a lot which's really depressing ._.

while their material has been getting better from Freedom onwards , their sales & chart staying power is not there anymore =(

I frankly don't care about their sales now since to me , the most important's their music & already with such a great album like Destination , it's more than enough for me to feel satisfied

I'm listening to Destination second time around. Easy to say it's way better than the first two albums. Especially the beginning is amazing. 3rd contact is great, Freedom is catchier than anything I've heard in a long time (ee-ii-ee-oo, ee-ii-ee-ii-ee-oo) and probably my new second-favorite GND song, Yume no Katana with lower vocals is hot, Kaze no Capsule is cute in just the right way... Also, Impish music is a great interlude. I gotta say, this album exceeded my expectations. Way to go, GND. :D

I received my CD + DVD A of Destination yesterday =D & this time round unlike their 1st 2 albums , avex decided to use the fat casing (the same ones used for the CD + DVD of ayumi's singles & albums) ~_~

The CD booklet is so thin , there's only 1 solo shot of each member in the sleeves ._.

Anyway I did scans of all the 3 members & also my Silent Scream alternate jacket & the Silent photobook & a bonus pinup of Chisa too 8D

yup that's right , I remembered CDJapan listed the CD + DVD A edition as the only 1 that comes with the Silent Scream photobook

ah I almost forgot to say this but I finally managed to watch the Shiawase no Hakari PV earlier on today in the morning when I was in the gym !

I never had the chance to see the PV in full as I didn't recall anyone uploading the Shiawase no Hakari PV for download other than Ready to be a lady & Kaze no Capsule ._.

The whole feeling that Shiawase no Hakari gave out is just so sad , everyone looked so depressed in the PV ._. but I feel the PV brought out enough volume & the right amount of emotions that each member gave

as I recall there are some region free players and I think that ripping dont include the region problem...it not has to been played to be able to rip (I had HK version of Ayu's GUILTY and I live in Poland in Europe so we had the same region as japan ) I have been able to play it only with player but there was no problem with ripping ( I was making polish subs thats why I was ripping)

Just listened to the new album and I really like it. Definitely their best album, imo :)

Chisa & AAA’s Nishijima Takahiro recently collaborated in a new commercial for Morinaga’s Choco Monaka Jumbo!

In order to express the happiness that people feel when they eat the ice cream snack, the CM depicts a joyful wedding between the two singers. Backed by the song “Pari Pari March“, (‘pari pari’ is the crunchy sound that is made when the ice cream is eaten), the wedding shows the bride and groom comically exchanging Choco Monaka Jumbos instead of rings.

Pop-rock trio GIRL NEXT DOOR completed their live tour “GIRL NEXT DOOR “LIVE DESTINATION”” on May 6th at Tokyo’s Akasaka Blitz. Vocalist Chisa passionately sang 19 songs, including an encore, for a 1,400+ audience.

For the first half of the performance, Chisa wore a black-and-white zippered dress and black shorts while singing several songs, including “Freedom” and “fallin’angel“. She changed into a cute pink sleeveless dress and feather boa for the second half, and pumped up the crowd with a rendition of “Infinity“. For the encore she wore a gray tour shirt with bright pink pants, and sung “Guuzen no kakuritsu” and “Arigatou” amongst other songs.

The vocalist expressed her gratitude for the fans by saying, “I created “Arigatou” after our first tour last year, because I wanted to create a song that would stay with the audience,”. “I will always remember this song as the first recording we made for our latest album.” During the final MC portion of the concert, she divided the audience into two groups to take pictures with them, developing a connection with the audience for the final show.

The tour began on May 3rd with shows in Osaka and Nagoya. The shows centered around tracks from their latest album, “Destination“, which went on sale April 27th. Fans could vote on additional songs for the tour through a fan-club survey.

GIRL NEXT DOOR was formed when Chisa, a dancer from the Kansai area, met Suzuki Daisuke (keyboard) at Avex Artist Academy. With the addition of guitarist Inoue Yuji, the group debuted in September 2008 with “Guuzen no kakuritsu”. The song hit #3 on the charts, and four months after their debut, the group was able to perform at NHK’s annual Kouhaku Uta Gassen. They’ve been gaining popularity ever since.

GIRL NEXT DOOR’s “silent scream” to be aired at “Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2011″

Actor and novelist Mizushima Hiro wrote and acted in the music video with vocalist of GIRL NEXT DOOR, Chisa, and the music video will be aired at the “Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2011“.

This music video marked the ‘comeback’ of Mizushima to the acting scene, as he took a break from the industry for half a year. This is his own original story and it can fully be seen on the DVD that accompanied the single.

The film festival will be on June 16th and will also include music ’short film’ videos by Every Little Thing x Clammbonn and Kuriyama Chiaki.

Additionally, “Silent Scream” will be shown in three theaters in Tokyo: Omotesando Hills Space Opera on June 19th, La Foret Museum in Harajuku on June 22nd, and Brillia SHORTSHORTS Theater in Kanagawa on June 25th.

sorry to bump this thread just for my opinion & not because of a new music release. :( :laugh but i just recently listened to "Destination" & the whole album (IMO :P) is AMAZING! i love every song so much! especially "Yume no Katana". :luv2 chisa's vocals are perfect, i wish she would sing like this more often! lol. i also love the interludes, "3rd contact" & "Impish music (it's like the best interlude ever :luv2) and some other album tracks that i love are: "Aitai Yoru" and "Winter Breeze". i already loved all the singles on this album so i still love them now. but this is probably my favorite GND album EVER. i like their first two albums, but i seriously love "Destination" so much, from start to finish. :heart

(right now "Yume no Katana" is still in my head :tipsy)

The pics are small, but the design on the towel and shirt either looks like a taxi (black & white check on yellow) or piano keys against a white background... haha or maybe neither... but that's what I see right now :P

the b-side titles are "Pure" & "Summer Breeze". :D the DVD will contain live performances of "Freedom", "Unmei no Shizuku~Destiny's Star~", and i think "Yume no Katana". i'm not sure! i'm also not sure about this either, but i think it's getting a PV? :shrug hopefully someone can correct me, lol.

they are also doing a 3 month single project, so you will have another in october and november.

That does seem likely, if they want to make it similar to their debut - 3 singles, once a month, and then an album in the following month. We should be getting something in December also I suppose.

Ohh thank you! I like it! Actually it sounds better than Infinity to me haha. I like Infinity, but it's definitely not my favorite of songs (The hidden track version is better, imo) :P This is really catchy. Too bad the PV was filmed with fan club members again... means it will most likely be rather cheap haha.

^ well, at least we can say that GND must love their fans so much, to have them featured in PVs quite often, lol. :P

eh actually the Dara Para !! PV is not as bad as I thought :O , it's very colourful & I was being entertained from the start til end

my fave parts of the PV

- Chisa wearing this awesome outfit at the end before the PV finish . She has 3 different outfits she wore , the last one being my fave <3

- Chisa using a ice cream dummy model as a microphone :laugh

- Breathtaking helicopter overview of Tokyo (I think) at night before the PV concludes & before the PV ends , there're shots of everyone on the roof top of a tall building & there were many feather fans involved doing the Dara Para !! hand movements

Even the full version is boring! I feel like GND lost all their originality. Their debut pvs were great. But now, they're boring...-_-" If only something happens during the party but they only jump at the same place. Sometimes, you see girls that seems to wonder what to do exaclty when they "dance". If it was a debut pv, I could say it's good but now, no because I know they could do better than that!

I definitely think it could have been better, but Chisa looks great.

And I agree with Karen, the helicopter shots are beautiful. And I'm pretty sure the daytime party was taken on top of Shinjuku's Lumine EST building, where they had a little live last year in celebration of the opening of the roof top terrace, which I was able to go to.

yeah it's quite sad Aurore , especially since GND has some of the best if not most entertaining PVs ._.

I noticed their PVs were not as good as before , starting from Freedom onwards . The budget drop avex invested in them is quite evident which's awful cos the singles included in Destination were some of the best works they did

For me to follow them from their debut single til now , it's quite ... I don't know :x but at least their music's still good

Honestly i don't like their first singles, i like them since SEEDS OF DREAM, that pv was really interesting, and maybe this pv isn't like that, but is nice

The promotion Avex did for them during their debut turned a lot of people off and worked against them instead of for them...

I was in Japan for their debut, and it was kind of like, I started in Japan along with them, and so I've been their fan since but seeing their old videos...it's amazing how much money was being spent compared to now.

-However- arguably AAA is one of the more popular groups on Avex right now, especially with high school students, yet the videos they make are still on the low-budget end even after they've picked up some popularity.

So I feel like the budget will never return... haha so I'm preparing myself for videos like this now.

On a side note, do we have any information of the singles coming with slip cases? Usually I feel like it says whether or not the single will have them or not, but I don't remember this one saying it anywhere... I hate the fact that Freedom doesn't have them. It's the only single in their discography that doesn't have them and it looks out of place on my bookshelf haha.

I've been a fan of GND from their debut single til now & I do admit , their 1st 3 PVs were super expensive & well produced but like what you said , I guess the huge amount of $ that avex spent on them , it kind of backfired

especially when their 1st album have a tie in for every single track , inclusive of the interludes D: but I suppose the type of music GND makes , people are not really responsive , judging from their then & now sales :x

PVs are just 1 aspect of the package & I do admit , it can turn me on/off . Like I didn't like Seeds of dream when it was 1st released but somehow or another , the PV changed my mind on it

Yeah the trump cards are kind of like, weird...

If you collect them all you'd have an entire set (52 in total when adding in fanclub only sets) but their fanbase isn't big enough to have people trade and such, so you'd have to buy a lot of singles in order to get the full deck of cards xD

Yeah their music's still good. At least my wallet is happy as I'll only buy CD version of their albums & singles if their pvs don't become better!
