to start this thread off, the most recent news would be arashi's 10th studio album, "Beautiful World", to be released on July 6th, 2011. arashi will also be releasing their "10-11 TOUR "Scene" - Kimi to Miteiru Fuukei (DOME)" DVD on June 15th, 2011. :D

I actually checked CDJapan, and it says only one disc... 17 tracks on one disc can be quite a hard job to deal with - seven new songs, five solo songs, five singles (To be free, Love Rainbow, Dear Snow, Hatenai Sora, Lotus)... That's an average of...4.7 minutes (4:40s), at most? To be free's 3:45, Love Rainbow and Dear Snow around 4:40s, Hatenai Sora and Lotus around 4:20s (but below 4:30s)... Oh, by the way, first press is already sold out. |

looks like ohno won't be in the japanese remake of "you're beautiful". the only johnny that will be starring in it will be yaotome hikaru of Hey! Say! JUMP. :P it's sad ohno won't have a new drama right now, but maybe we'll hear some news by the end of the month? they have to announce any summer dramas by the end of may because filming always starts in june. so we'll see!

Arashi’s 10th album “Beautiful World” will be released on July 6. The group had been working on the record since February, but again, the Tohoku earthquake lead to a few changes.
“We thought up this album title after talking about what’s going to happen following the earthquake,” Matsumoto said. About the rumours...mhm, I don't really bother with such things. I mean, their private lives are really none of our business. I hate it, when people just make up stories and this new Nino-dating-Sasaki-thing is also nothing more than a rumour. Believe me, if it's true than I'm very happy for him. I want him/them to be happy and find true love. But there are also other fans - crazy people - out there, who could go berserk after reading things like this in a tabloid. |

the designs are pretty nice! but both covers lack color. arashi are a very..."colorful" (as in happy & always bright) group, so it's not right for there to be no color! :laugh

I’ve just listened to Arashi’s new song まだ見ぬ世界へ (“Mada minu sekai e”) – Aiba played it on Aiba Rekomen – and I really like it.
It’s something fresh and new, but I hope there will not be too many electropop elements in their future songs, because I don't like this kind of music. The only thing I really hate about the new song is that they have auto-tuned their voices again! i agree, arashi's voices really are pretty! :P but i like auto-tune only when it's for like, a hot/cool/dance-ish type of song. that's why i don't mind it in Lotus & this new song. but it's also kinda bad because it drains out sho's amazing sakurap, haha (like Boom Boom. i love the song, but poor sakurap can hardly be heard! i read the lyrics and i'm like "he was saying that?! :laugh) so i'd rather arashi have some nice & fun songs instead of just more songs like this. there should be a good balance of both genres, i think! but arashi really are trying something different, so it's cool! just too much of something might not be the best. still, i look forward to hearing some more album tracks & hopefully we'll get tracklist & covers pretty soon, too!! |

I like Mada Minu Sekai e & frankly it wouldn't surprise me if the album tracks in Beautiful World are leftovers from Boku no Miteiru Fukei as the style is quite similiar
A bit of autotune is ok but I don't like so much of it . Considering vocally they're not the best outta all the other Johnny's , this should serve them well |
vocal-wise, i think i'd approve of auto-tune when it comes to matsujun (i feel like such a bad fangirl! :laugh), but sho's sakurap should never be touched! :roflmao since it makes it hard to hear his awesome rap. :P but i really don't know what to expect when it comes to the style of this album. really, i have 0 thoughts! but since the singles were all pretty mid-tempo, i think we'll get more upbeat album tracks!

I noticed that for both Beautiful World & Boku no Miteiru Fukei , the singles included in each album , all of them doesn't include Sakurap but the album tracks themselves have
I don't know if it's a good or bad thing but hopefully after Beautiful World is released , there will be finally a new single that has Sakurap hard to believe the last single that has a Sakurap is Believe which was released 2 years ago ._. |

I hate the new song and personally I also don't understand why people make so much fuss about the PV.
It's really nothing special and you can't go wrong with letting Arashi dance in front of pretty backgrounds. The PV has a lot of eye candy, but that's it. I don't know why some people say that it's one of their best PVs ever. :headache Sorry, my post is quite negative, but I'm just not feeling the new song and the PV. I really, REALLY hope that the new songs on "Beautiful world" will not all be electropop mixed with auto-tuning. If this happened, I would be really disappointed. |
Personally , I like Mada Minu Sekai e song wise but in terms of the PV , it's not their best to date
I barely can see everyone's faces in the PV . It's those PVs that're shot faraway & all the images shown in the video are somewhat ... diluted ? Maybe that explained why this PV's not included in Beautiful World :O but at least it's more colourful/entertaining than Dear Snow Dear Snow's PV is a snoozefeast to me :3 , there's barely anything happening in the PV for that D: |
"Dear snow" is a boring song with a boring PV.
I mean, come on, when you name a song "Dear snow" and make a video for it, the viewers expect at least a tiny bit of snow in it, right?! Well, I did at least... "Mada minu sekai e" is a song that's very different from their other songs and I guess that's the reason why a lot of people like it. I tried to, but I just hate this electropop sound and the auto-tuning! The PV feels impersonal to me. In the colourful part their faces are distorted, because of the glaring lights and in the black/white part, they're too far away to be really seen. Their dancing is great, but that's not really anything new. On lj somebody has already uploaded a preview of Riida's solo "Hang up on" and there is a part where Sho is rapping. I don't like it. I mean, it's Riida's solo, so why put another voice in it? I really wonder how the new album will be like? I hope, not as worse as I expected it to be right now! |

Well Arashi has always tried different styles. Their albums have never really sounded the same as the previous one. They're just trying to stay fresh. Ayu does this too. If you don't like this particular style you may have to wait until the next album to find something you like.

I listened to ARASHI from their 4th album Iza , Now til now but yes compared the style they had then & now , it's very different
Their older works were much more heavier in rock and R&B which I really like a lot . Autotune was barely there but somehow or another , the style they were doing , it wasn't selling well & let alone they weren't really top dog much as I hate to say this but even though I miss their older works/styles , along the way when they changed their music direction , their popularity begin to pick up alongside with other externalities such as being in dramas , hosting their own shows & etc but like what dreamland2.0 put , if you don't like what they have to offer now , maybe in their next single/album you might ? :shrug |

for me , my concern's whether Beautiful World will sound good/consistent because I have listen to albums that consist of both group & solo tracks & usually , either 1 will bring the whole album down I rather they released Beautiful World in a 2CDs edition like what they have done for Time & Dream"A"Live but guess you can't have everything ._. But if you really don't like the stuff they're currently doing , there's always their older works to fall back on which I still feel their older stuff has some of their best stuff they did til this date |

they may be plain, but i think because the guys look good (to me :P) i don't mind, haha. sure, there needs to be some color, but...sometimes simplicity might be the best. :P i just hope the booklet has just a bit of color, at least, lol.
