Just when will there be a new single?!
 

I mean...this is the longest we've gone without an ayu release!
Not counting ayu-mi-x 7 or blu rays because they really aren't new material.

She's touring right now, give her a break.
She cranks out releases left and right like a madwoman, but that doesn't mean we should come to expect that of her. She works really hard, and is probably focusing on her tour right now or, who knows, her private life? *gasp*

Probably the closest thing to a new release will be the Tales of Xillia song which will hopefully show up soon. Maybe it'll have a B-side with it or something. *shrug*

I think, she will release a summer single on June/July. Although there's still that Tales of Xillia's theme. And she's touring now, so she's pretty busy now lol.
TBH we're too spoiled :laugh what if Ayu release just a single per year.

of course it's understandable that ayumi is pretty busy with her tour and personal life. but i kinda do miss the news of a new single, lol. so i do hope she'll release one, by the end of the summer, at least...:shrug i'd really love to hear that "Tales of Xillia" song, actually. :P

regardless, i'm sure we won't go too long without something new. it's ayumi, after all! i'm sure a new single will be out by the time fall comes.

July / August

Love songs is December 22, now its May 24th. Only 5 months so far.

Well because you didn't count the remix albums, I'll use these as examples.

If you don't count A ~complete~ because it's a best album, the longest would be Mirrorcle World (April 8th) ~> Days/Green (December 17th). - A little over 8 months.

If you don't count A Best 2, from November 29 ~> July 18th that's secret's release to Glitter. That's roughly 7 and half months.

It is a little dry, but she's just busy I guess. It really depends on the developement of the new tales of game as well.

She'll probably release something in August/September if not July/August. But I have enough new material and concerts to watch until then. I hope Ayu's spending enough time with her hubby~

No it was over a year between singles - not since new material. BLUE BIRD in June, then came the album Secret in November, followed by glitter / fated in July. So that was still a longer wait than what we have waited so far but for some reason this feels longer right now!

Just counting singles however it was 13 months (Blue Bird June 21, 2006 and Glitter/Fated July, 18, 2007 - almost a full 13 months)...

L came out September 29 2010, so its been ruffly 8 months since the last single... lets not hope with have to wait till September!

I agree, あゆ keeps recycling old materials over again...need 51st single by mid of June!

I honestly don't feel like it has been that long. I could easily wait til the end of the year for something new from her. I'm still really full up with ayu after her releasing 2 of my fav albums last year. But we should hear something soon because of that game. I'm thinking July/August release.

It's too soon for June, so maybe August/September preferably.

With two albums last year and all the singles I've felt rather inundated with Ayu, if she released something in July I'd probably be a bit "meh" over it.

Also, a really good single takes time. You definitely don't want new material to be rushed for time's sake alone. The longer we wait, the better it'll likely be. *nod*

She's super busy... I don't care how long it takes. I just want her next single to be of amazing quality (per usual, usually, heh)! :) It'll keep her fans even happier right? :) I'm still listening to Love Songs so I'm still content.

Same, I'm not starving for new material yet, it doesn't feel like it's been ages or anything.

I did just realize that Tales of whatever theme song still isn't out. I'm not really concerned cause other artists I like are keeping my occupied right now. I hope Ayu will announce her new single just as the novelty of GaGa's new album is wearing off. ;P That'd be perfect. haha

Personnaly, I prefer she takes her time to do a new single. If she does it "under pressure" (I mean "I have to release something because my fans but I don't find the good idea") the single'll be botched!

Moreover she's married! People do you realize that she only spent less than 2 month with her hubby since the wedding? She spent more time with her fans!!
So please be patient. she's not a robot! If she want to take her time, respect her choice!

Hopefully, she'll release a new single in the summer. July or August. I think June isn't possible anymore, since it's coming up too soon.

its strange when ayu hasnt released something, I admit. but Im happy I finally have time to enjoy everythin without rush. when MOON, crossroad and L was released I was like ... on a rush, I have life u kno, and when Love Songs came I was like 'I still havent finished listenin to L' lol.

I hope what ever it does it will have great promotion!
apart from it already having Tales of Xillia, the b side could be linked to something else

Although this is funny and somewhat true, I doubt its the same people saying both. There seems to be two types of listeners in this forum: one that likes wants to see something new from ayu, the other want her to recapture her -insert era u like- days.

Well there are others but these are generalization.

With the new tales of videos coming out, I think Ayu would release her new single sooner than later. Perhaps in a few months.

When I saw Leslie's tweet I was sooo happy!! Give us gorgeous covers again! :D I'm guessing it would be soon for Ayu to release a new single. I hope it will be July or August though.

I wonder when is kazuyoshi going to work with ayu again LOL If Leslie manages to prove us all that he can be a better director than shimoko, omg :love I would love him even more than I do right now for giving us great pictures :D

She released 2 (TWO) full studio albums within the same year, give her a break, it's only been five months since Love songs.

I agree. I feel like there's been more Ayu exposure than usual since RnRC was released and the quality of music from since then has been all over the place so I really wouldn't mind if she took a break and started fresh when the right time comes.

Ayu released her single poker face all the way back in April 1998 and it took her like 12 and a half years to release L.
