did ayu ever has a trouble with other artists through out her career

was ayu ever having some troubles with other singers or artist through out her career..
As i know she was not as friendly as ayu today when she was in her peak
she seems uncomfortable in some events n look tired those old days..

Andrenekoi 31st May 2011 02:57 AM

Nobody likes everyone, so, there must be people ayu doesn't like very much, still, nothing public...

Press threw her against Utada, Namie, Koda, Ami Suzuki and Ai Otsuka... but it was most likelly something created against their will to generate buzz...

YUKARI 31st May 2011 03:35 AM

I don't remember her having problems with somebody.

I saw her talking nice to Utada, Koda at MS

krazeyo 31st May 2011 04:20 AM

Interesting to note about Ami Suzuki...is that a few days again on Twitter someone asked Ami what she thought about Ayu and Ami said she respected her for quite a long time. Ayu tweeted back saying the same! So.......yeah.

Edit: here's the translation from Misa-chan's blog ;D

yukachonchan: @AMIAMI5729 Hey hey, what is ayu to Ami-chan? ヽ(・∀・)ノ
AMIAMI5729: Ever since we met, she’s someone I really like and respect!
ayu_19980408: Same for me~ ♪(´ε` ) The time we met was so nostalgic!! We were so young. (laugh)

I remember there was a feud between ayu and this singer.
and they didn't grt along in one of ayus ayuready episode.

I'm getting mixed up lmao idk

Kazeyomi 31st May 2011 04:44 AM

I remember there was a rumor about Ayu and Namie's rivalry. Ayu called Namie 'monkey' and Namie called Ayu 'monster'.
I don't think it's true, although I wouldn't care if it is :laugh. I think most of these rivalities are just planned to make a big buzz and of course, earn money lol.

Zeke. 31st May 2011 04:55 AM

I thought it was like "makeup monster" or something?

Kashoku 31st May 2011 04:57 AM

Didn't Namie go to one of Ayu's concerts....?

Sirea 31st May 2011 05:11 AM

It almost seems like the only people Ayu has trouble with are anti-fans.
A lot of jpop fans tend to be really vicious for no reason.

I found this one site a loooong time ago that was kind of an amateur thing, crap design and such, and it was this group that hated Ayu, and they posted pictures that made her eyes super huge to make fun of them, and made fun of her ear thing, like editing album covers to say "(miss)understood... because I'm deaf" and "I am... deaf" and stuff like that. Just really crazy mean stuff.

Jpop artists seem to respect each other, but Jpop fans don't respect them. smh

NintendoHTF1242 31st May 2011 05:25 AM

^ I agree. You barely hear any J-Pop artist rivalries, just J-Pop fans who hate for no reason.

Neko★munication 31st May 2011 05:29 AM

Wasn't there something around 2007 with a famous Asian artist attending one of her Asia tour concerts, falling asleep, then accusing her of lipsynching or something? XD I don't remember how much of that was actually true, but I do remember there was some scandal around that.

fanayutic 31st May 2011 05:48 AM

Lol. the singer who said that was Eason Chan. Anyway, there are alot more Asian artists who had seen her concerts like Show Luo, Danson Tang, etc. I think she's highly respected among the other artistes! =D

chu-lips 31st May 2011 06:07 AM

^ahhh...
i remember it now,,,
then avex responded it by saying that they bringing all the sound system from japan n it's all advanced,,,if i remember correctly,,,after hearing that article ayu drunk all the night...

butterfly_ayu 31st May 2011 06:20 AM

yeah~ I was gonna mention Eason xD he's actually also one of my fav singers of all time along with ayu. He did said ayu lip-synced, but he said lip-syncing was fine and it's all part of delivering a good performance. He also admitted that he fell asleep during the concert when the reporter asked him about it, but he said he was super tired that night and he was very sorry about it. I don't think he hates ayu, but after what all the Chinese ayu fans said about boycotting his cds and wanted a formal public apology made to ayu... blah blah blah~ i feel that maybe he doesn't have a good impression on her, because he didn't went to the 2008 concert the year after that happened. I really feel bad for him, he doesn't deserve all the hate :(

SURREAL__RAINBOW 31st May 2011 06:39 AM

I think that most of the things we hear are made up by the media or by the fans themselves.

I do think though that she just cannot get along with everybody out there, which at the same time doesn't mean she's gonna be looking for a fight. She just flows around other artists, and also being a good Japanese cultural manner, to keep very respectful towards other people.

ayu is VERY respectful and professional, and I'm sure she prefers when others keep it that way towards herself too.

I wouldn't be surprised if she got angry that time when one of these TV dudes hit her on the head, I mean come on, we get that you are a "male" and she's a "female", but she's the empress of pop, don't mess with her!

:)

oh yeah I remember this!
they actually have a kind of tradition to hit her. try to check HEY!HEY!HEY! 1998.11.09 OP + talk video. they did hit her there too )

I'm sure she's big friends with these guys, they saw her becoming Empess of Pop, they hit her slightlt like big brothers do, so I'm sure she's not angry at them at all :)

Yoake 31st May 2011 12:48 PM

I never saw a celebrities having problem with Ayu. But I think, it's someone don't like her, that person won't tell it because the his career can take a bad way after that. For example, Ayu's fans can stop to buy the CD or something else with tabloïd.

When you're under the spotlight they're always a shadow that keep secret thing.

I agree that fans, media & musical company( I thought about the A best that was created against the release of Utada's album) are the ones who create rumor about rivalities.

LOL! It's just that in western shows you don't have to lift up a skirt to see the contents...

I pretty much agree with everything Francisco said. Whenever Ayu was in MSta you could see she talked to the people who set next to her even when it was some of her "rivals" in question. I guess medias have created things that aren't really there. Though I'll never forget one pic of Ayu and Nakashima Mika from MSta.

Nukaru 31st May 2011 04:43 PM

Well, 'Downtown' (Hitoshi Matsumoto & Masatoshi Hamada) who host Hey³ are famous for picking on artists. There really isn't an artist they won't make fun of. So hitting ayu on the head is really nothing strange considering they said they really like and respect her. It's their thing to make the show more fun and show that artists are just human beings.

I don't think we would know about any trouble Ayu had with other artists. Respect for acomplishments is something very important in the japanese culture, so if you have any grudge, missunderstanding, whatsoever it's your private matter and not something to tell the world about.

I think all the hating on him is really mean. He stated a fact, YES, Ayumi lip-synched SOME songs in the tour. Like the biggest part of evolution(after she gets on the floor), but he never said it's a bad thing. Saying "Ayumi lipped in the concert" and saying "the concert was bad" are entirely different things.

Andrenekoi 31st May 2011 05:01 PM

^Actually, he compared her to Michael Jackson as a performer... And that's really something^^

I remember reading something on what Ayu wore in the Rule Promotional Video(clip). Her outfit was copied from another artist. Although I'm not sure where I found this. But this was going on between ayu-fans and the other artists-fans.

edit;

Oh here is the link; http://asianfanatics.net/forum/topic...s-copying-who/
It seems that they were accused by the media/fans to have been copying each other.

NEVER get into K-Pop. I think you will die from shock! :tired J-Pop's crazy fans have nothing on Korean fans and anti-fans (who are often the same thing!!!!)

I don't think Ayu's ever had a real "falling out" with anyone, other than Peach John's drug scandal and they cut contact for a long while (at least publicly).......anything is made up by tabloids or whoever to sell products.

AyUmIXx 2nd June 2011 09:43 AM

Kpop fans are much crazier *no offense* but whether u like it or not, for me, kpop fans are scariest! even though i'm a fan of kpop too..and sometimes i dislike their attitudes.

i don't think ayu has ever had any problems with anyone. it's just fans who make ayu to be competed with some other artists and vice versa, usually the fans are the ones who are at "wars" haha XDD

I heard she had problems when noisy idol group Minimoni got invited to AYUREADY, she had an headache and she was like "shut up already!" and then one of the girls shouted at her something irrespectfully

But I don't think that's true either because in the episode we can see how one of the members really admires Ayu and sing Voyage a cappella for her

Bubbly 3rd June 2011 08:54 AM

I think it's possible that Ayu maybe got annoyed backstage because mini moni member kago ai and tsuji nozomi are still known for being very difficult when they were young but I don't think they acted irrescpectfully and I also can't really imagine Ayu saying this to some kids

I actually really admire her there, since she was saying she was more annoyed on behalf of her staff rather than just herself. Plus, she never really got angry-angry...I wish I could keep calm and say what needs to be said like she did.

Andrenekoi 3rd June 2011 05:40 PM

^Well, a lot of japanese people disaproved the way she acted there, considering it to be unpolite...

Sirea 3rd June 2011 08:32 PM

I'd say it seems normal for her to respond that way on behalf of her staff especially. She's always been the type to take control of situations and make them work the way they need to. She was frustrated and more than likely tired. She wasn't pitching a fit or calling names, just expressing frustration.

On a side note, I just watched the rest of the interview after that, up to the end, and that was amazing. I didn't know she had let anyone in like that before. It made me want to cry.
