I love the Namie facebook page, it gets updated frequently. I think the same person who runs Namie News Network (who is also a member of these boards) runs her facebook page.

I cannot wait to hear the complete single, and I am super excited for the possibility of some old school songs added to her 20th anniversary tour.

I'm pretty sure I would die if she performed Rainbow Moon or Go! Go! (again) or even some of the tracks she hasn't performed in a long time (B W Z you, Private, Let's do the Motion)

Mine was Alarm I think.......but yeah she's long overdue for a performance. I was really hoping for some with all the duets that just came out, but I guess I understand why she really couldn't.

Earlier in her career she performed like crazy. I think back then it wasn't a question as to whether or not she would promote new material by making a television appearance. I think it's recently that her tv performances have slowed down. I remember she used to appear on several shows sometimes repeatedly to promote a single and now it seems like she only does maybe 2 or 3 performances.

can't wait for this new single. i know we will be getting new AWESOME music!

Just checked the daily rankings and Checkmate! is #7. I think it's awesome that over a month after it's release it is still managing to sell well. I'm not so sure if it'll rank in the top 10 for the week, but it's still nice to see it on the daily ranking.

I totally would. To have "Drive", "exist for you" and "STROBE" on the same disc would more than satisfy me.

To expand on the answer to this question - Yes, she did. I like to collect TV performances of my favorite artists - I have over 600 Namie TV performances and my collection isn't even complete! So yes, she used to perform like a mad woman on tv which is probably why she doesn't do it so much anymore.

It would be weird. I feel like you're right -- they usually give awards to the people that actually show up and perform. In that sense, it's a little messed up, but oh well.

the problem is that it seems that it won't start in August.....

I tried to get tickets for August and my ticket service told me that the link (which I have posted here) would say that the dates I wanted to go were moved to November

I hope that I can make it at least to a-nation 10th anniversary....

^ I have a feeling this tour will be mostly the collaboration songs. I hope that next year she at least does some kind of 20th anniversary tour though (even though I think this year is technically her 20th) and that she brings back finally a lot of her songs from the 90s.

I'd really like to see a reunion performance with MAX where they perform some old songs. That would be a huge surprise.
